배기량과 차량중량에 따른 LPG 연료를 사용하는 승용 및 승합형 자동차 온실가스 배출 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Greenhouse Gas Emission Characteristics of Passenger Car and Van with LPG Fuel According to Displacement and Vehicle Weight)

  • In Korea, passenger car and van using LPG fuel including taxi constantly increased due to the high cost of fuel. Recently, the emission standard has continuously tightened in the world. In this investigation was conducted the greenhouse gas emission characteristics of LPG vehicles according to the displacement and weight. Exhaust emission characteristics of 13 test LPG vehicles from about 1.0 L to 3.0 L displacements were measured and analyzed by using chassis dynamometer and emission analyzer. It is revealed that the greenhouse gas emission was showed the increasing tendency as the displacement and curb weight increased. Also, greenhouse gas emission of SC03 driving cycle has highest value and that of HWFET driving cycle shows the lowest value.

산업용 플라스틱 재료의 열분해 및 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pyrolysis and Combustion Properties on Industrial Plastics)

  • 산업용플라스틱의 열분해 및 연소시 연소가스 배출 특성을 알아보기 위하여 유해가스 측정 장치를 이용하여 분석하였다. 첫 번째 결과로써 PC의 경우 열분해는 $400{\sim}450^{\circ}C$에서 분해가 진행되어 약 $608^{\circ}C$에서 연소가 진행되는 것으로 나타났다. 이 때 연소 전까지의 중량감소 속도는 0.03g/min이었다. 둘째 PET의 경우는 PC와 유사하게 $420^{\circ}C$에서 분해가 시작하여 $620^{\circ}C$에서 완료가 되는 것으로 나타났고, 연소 전 중량감소 속도는 0.044g/min인 것을 보였다. PET의 온도 상승에 따른 열분해속도는 염료가 첨가되어있는 경우 열분해속도가 느려지고 분해온도가 높아졌다.

  • An Eulerian-Lagrangian hybrid modeling system to analyze physical and chemical processes during the transport of air parcels was developed. The Backward-tracking Model Analyzer (BMA) was designed to take advantages of both Eulerian and Lagrangian modeling approaches. Simulated trajectories from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration HYSPLIT model were combined with the US Environmental Protection Agency Community Multi-scale Air Quality (CMAQ)-simulated concentrations and additional diagnostic analyses. In this study, we first introduced a generalized methodology to seamlessly match polylines (HYSPLIT) and threedimensional polygons (CMAQ), which enables mass-conservative analyses of physio-chemical processes of transporting air parcels. Two applications of the BMA were conducted: (1) a long-range transport case of pollutant plume across the Yellow Sea using CMAQ Integrated Process Rate analyses, and (2) a domestic circulation of pollutants within (and near) the South Korea based on the sulfate tracking analyzer. The first episode demonstrated a secondary formation of nitrate and ammonium during the transport over the Yellow Sea while sulfate is mostly transported after being formed over the China, and the second episode demonstrated a dominant impact of boundary condition with active sulfate formation from gas-phase oxidation near the Seoul Metropolitan Area.

  • This is a thesis about the experiment of comparison characteristic of power and exhaust gas in the same condition between diesel engine that is equipped turbocharger different from response power to increase effectiveness of the engine which is recently used in a lot of industry which requires high power. Resulting of the experiment with natural aspiration diesel engine and turbocharger diesel engine, difference in low speed is not significant, but in high speed, effectiveness of turbocharger diesel engine is much higher than the other one. In other hand, in exhaust gas experiment, turbocharger model exhausts more $NO_X$ and $O_2$, but it doesn't significantly affect the result when it comes with decreasing of $CO_2$ and effectiveness of increased power characteristic. As a result, the turbocharger diesel engine is economically effective comparing with the natural aspiration diesel engine.

방사광 차단용 진공부품의 냉각수 누설 특성 (Characteristics of Water Leakage from Cooling Components in a Storage Ring)

  • 포항가속기연구소 저장링에 설치된 방사광 차단용 진공부품에서 냉각수가 누설되었을 때의 진공도 분포, 압력 변화, 잔류 기체의 변화 등을 측정하여 그 특성을 분석하였다. 냉각수 누설 시에 압력 상승은 국부적으로 나타났으며 잔류 기체의 변화 양상은 누설 위치로부터 잔류기체 분석기까지 거리와 이온펌프 및 전자빔의 On/Off에 따라서 크게 달랐으며 특정 기체의 선택적 상승도 나타났다. 냉각수 누설의 발견은 전압변화 측정으로 가능하였으며 잔류기체 분석기로는 물분자를 직접 측정하기보다는 $CH_4$, CO, NO 등 특성 기체의 증가를 분석함으로 누설 여부를 판단할 수 있었다.

자트로파 유(Crude Jatropha Oil)에 대한 보일러 직접 연소 특성 (Experimental Study on Thermal Characteristics of Heat Exchanger Modules for Multi Burner Boiler)

  • We conducted a test of a direct burning of crude Jatropha oil (CJO) in a commercial boiler system. The fuel, crude Jatropha oil is not biodiesel which comes from transeterification process of bio oil, but it is pure plant oil. The higher heating value (HHV) of the CJO is 39.3 MJ/kg (9,380 kcal/kg) and is higher than that of a commercial heating oil, 37.9 MJ/kg. The kinematic viscosity of CJO is 36.2 mm2/s at $40^{\circ}C$ and 8.0 mm2/s at $100^{\circ}C$. The burner used in the test is a commercial burner for a commercial heatingoil and its capacity is 140 kW (120,000 kcal/h). We did a preliminary test whether the combustion is stable or not. The preliminary test was a kind of open air combustion test using the commercial burner with crude Jatropha oil. We found that the combustion can be stable if the crude Jatrophaoil temperature is higher than $90^{\circ}C$. We measured the flue gas concentration by using a gas analyzer. The NOx concentration is $80{\sim}100\;ppm$ and CO concentration is nearly 0 ppm at flue gas O2 concentration of 3.0 and 4.5%.

생물공정 모니터링을 위한 Fiber Optic 생물센서 개발

  • In this study a fiber optic biosensor has been developed to on-line monitor the concentrations of oxygen and glucose. The oxygen concentrations in solution and gas phase monitored by the fiber optic sensor has been compared with those by a dissolved oxygen electrode and an IR-type $O_2$ analyzer. The fiber optic glucose sensor has been made by immobilizing glucose oxidase on the tip of the optic fiber and used to on-line monitor the concentration of glucose in a fermentation process.

Stereolithography 기술을 이용한 유체소자 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fabrication of Fluidic Devices using Stereolithography Technology)

  • In this paper, we fabricated fluidic devices like micro-channel, pump, mixer and particular gas separator with the technology of stereolithouaphy using RP(rapid-prototyping). The fabricated fluidic devices are expected to be applied to develop Lab-on-a chip type liquid analyzer. Stereolithography technology seems effective for fabricating MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) with complicated structure because it makes three dimensional fabrication possible but, exclusive devices are needed to be developed fur fabricating even more microscopic MEMS structure.
