진화전략을 이용한 컨테이너 크레인의 최적제어에 관한 연구 (An Optimal Control of Container Crane Using Evolution Strategy)

  • During the operation of crane system in container yard, the objective is to transport the load to a goal position as quick as possible without rope oscillation. The container crane is generally operated by an expert operator, but recently an automatic control system with high speed and rapid transportation is required. Therefore, we developed an optimal controller which has to control the crane system with disturbances. In this paper, we present a design of optima 2-DOF PID controller for the control of gantry crane which has to control swing motion and trolley position. We used evolution strategy(ES) to tune the parameters of 2-DOF PID controller. It was compared with general PID controller. The computer simulations show that the proposed method has better performances than the other method.

  • The control objectives in this paper are to move the gantry of a container crane to its target position and to suppress the transverse vibration of the payload. The crane system is modeled as an axially moving string equation, in which control inputs are applied at both ends, through the gantry and the payload. The dynamics of the moving string are derived using Hamilton's principle for systems with changing mass. The Lyapunov function method is used in deriving a boundary control law, in which the Lyapunov function candidate is introduced from the total mechanical energy of the system. The performance of the proposed control law is compared with other two control algorithms available in the literature. Experimental results are given.

  • 4D CT is a dynamic volume imaging system of moving organs with an image quality comparable to conventional CT, and is realized with continuous and high-speed cone-beam CT. In order to realize 4D CT, we have developed a novel 2D detector on the basis of the present CT technology, and mounted it on the gantry frame of the state-of-the-art CT-scanner. In the present report we describe the design of the first model of 4D CT-scanner as well as the early results of performance test. The x-ray detector for the 4D CT-scanner is a discrete pixel detector in which pixel data are measured by an independent detector element. The numbers of elements are 912 (channels) ${\times}$ 256 (segments) and the element size is approximately 1mm ${\times}$ 1mm. Data sampling rate is 900views(frames)/sec, and dynamic range of A/D converter is 16bits. The rotation speed of the gantry is l.0sec/rotation. Data transfer system between rotating and stationary parts in the gantry consists of laser diode and photodiode pairs, and achieves net transfer speed of 5Gbps. Volume data of 512${\times}$512${\times}$256 voxels are reconstructed with FDK algorithm by parallel use of 128 microprocessors. Normal volunteers and several phantoms were scanned with the scanner to demonstrate high image quality.

레이저 절단기의 모드해석과 구조해석 (Modal and Structural Analysis of Laser Cutter)

  • 레이저 절단기는 고도의 정밀을 요하는 선체구조강판의 가공용으로 최근 조선소에서 사용되게 되었으며, 정밀성 유지를 위해서 이 시스템 자체의 운동으로 인한 변형은 일정한도 내에서 유지되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 새로 개발된 레이저 절단기의 모드해석 및 구조해석을 이 시스템의 설계요구조건에 부합하는지를 검토하기 위하여 수행하였으며, 이를 위하여 유한 요소 모델링의 효과적인 기법과 가상 질량요소를 분대하는 기법, 가속도장의 변화로 주어지는 외력조건의 구체화 방법등을 제시하였다. 또한 고유진동해석을 수행하여 이 시스템의 동적효과 존재 여부를 검토하였으며 시간영역의 동적해석을 하지 않고 정적해석을 통한 시스템 특성 규명 타당성을 규명하였다. 해석 접근 방법의 유용성이 입증되었으며 결과적으로 본 논문에서 보여 준 해석기법은 유사한 시스템의 특성 규명에 유효하게 적용될 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

시뮬레이션에 희한 부산컨테이너 터미널 운영의 체계적인 분석 (A Systematic Analysis on the Operation of Busan Container Terminal by Computer Simulation)

  • Since the middle of 1950's when sea transportation service by container ship was established, containerization has been rapidly spread over the world with realization of intermodalism, and becomes an index of economy growth of a country. Our country has established Pusan Container Terminal at Pusan harbour in 1978 in step with worldwide trend of containerization, and is constructing New Container Terminal at Pusan outharbour which will be completed in 1990. This paper aims to make a quantitative analysis of the Pusan Container Terminal system through the computer simulation, especially focusing on its subsystems such as ship stevedoring system, storage system and transfer system. First, the capacity of various subsystems are evaluated and it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the computer simulation. Secondly, the suggestion is presented to improve the operation by considering the throughput that Pusan Container Terminal will have to accept until 1990, when New Container Terminal will be completed. The results are as follows ; 1) As the inefficiency is due to the imbalance between various subsystems at Pusan Container Terminal on the basis of about 1.2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 33% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 4/5 days for export/import. 2) On the basis of about 1.4 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $12\%$ for gantry crane, $11\%$ for straddle carrier and $66\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 3) On the basis of about 1.7 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $25\%$ for gantry crane, $28\%$ for straddle carrier and $100\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 4) On the basis of about 2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $25\%$ for gantry crane, $30\%$ for straddle carrier and $110\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 2/3 days for export/import, and it is necessary to enlarge storage yard.

Implementation of AAPM's TG-51 Protocol on Co-60 MRI-Guided Radiation Therapy System

  • For the $ViewRay^{(R)}$ system (ViewRay Inc., Cleveland, OH, USA) which is representative of magnetic resonance (MR) guided radiotherapy machine, it is important to evaluate effectiveness of AAPM's TG-51 protocol and the effect of the magnetic field on absolute dosimetry. In order to measure the absolute dose, MR-compatible chamber and water phantom system manufactured in this study were used. The materials of the water phantom system were plastic of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and non-ferrous materials. Due to the inherent feature of the $ViewRay^{(R)}$, all Co-60 sources are not located at gantry angle of $0^{\circ}$ while being located at gantry angle of $90^{\circ}$. For this reason, absolute dosimetry was performed based on the measurements in solid water phantom (SWP) and water which determine the SWP to water correction factor. For evaluation of output constancy with gantry angle, measurements were made with ionization chamber inserted in cylindrical water-equivalent phantom. For measured doses in water, the values of dose deviation according to a reference dose of 200 cGy for Head 1, Head 2 and Head 3 were -0.27%, -0.45% and -0.22%, respectively. For measured doses in SWP, the values of dose deviation according to a reference dose of 200 cGy for Head 1, Head 2 and Head 3 were -1.91%, -2.07% and -1.84%, respectively. All values of dose measured in SWP tended to be less than those measured in water by -1.63%. With the reference gantry angles of $0^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$, the maximum values of deviation for Head 1, Head 2 and Head 3 were 0.48%, 1.06% and 0.40%, respectively. The measurement agreement is within the range of results obtainable for conventional treatment machines. The low strength of the magnetic field does not affect dose measurements. Using the SWP to water correction factor, absolute doses for $ViewRay^{(R)}$ system can be measured.

  • Productivity of container cranes and gantry cranes is influenced by the performance of crane hardware and cycle time. Cycle time in container handling is influenced by the path of containers and relative positioning of containers. So we have to minimize the sway of containers and spreaders to minimize relative positioning time. And sway minimization is influenced by the skill of workers in manual gantry cranes. In this paper, we will survey some anti-sway systems. Each system has some merits and some shortages. And we will show our choice and its experimental equipment which is under construction.

다축제어 갠트리형 용접로봇 시스템 개발에 대한 연구 (Development of Multi-Axis Gantry Type Welding Robot System)

  • 본 연구는 조선 소조립, 판넬조립 등의 공정에서 발생되는 필렛 용접 부위의 용접 자동화를 위한 로봇 시스템 개발에 관한 연구이다. 조선등의 중공업 분야에서는 작업이 중량이고 대형임에 따라 로봇이 부재의 특정위치로 이동하여 작업해야 한다. 또한 작업대상의 형상이나 치수가 매번 변경됨에 따라 이에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 두 대의 로봇(2대x6축=12축)이 다축 문형 캔트리(4축)에 장착된 조선용 필렛용접 로봇 시스템(16축)을 개발하였다. 필렛용접부재를 중심으로 두 대의 로봇이 양쪽을 동시에 용접하는 방식으로 고속회전토치를 적용하여 위빙동작없이 원하는 용접각장(Leg Length)을 생성할 수 있다. 캔트리 시스템은 PC 기반의 별도 제어기로 구성하여 두 대의 로봇 제어기와 신호 입출력에 의해 동시동작이 가능하도록 하였으며, 작업장에 놓인 부재의 위치오차를 보장하기 위하여 시각센서를 적용하였다. 용접시작점의 위치보정을 위한 시작점 검출을 위해접촉센서(Touch Sensor)를 적용하였으며, 용접선 추적을 위해서 아크센서(Arc Sensor)를 적용하였다. 본 시스템 2000년 1월 제작 설치가 완료되어 현재 성능 테스트가 완료된 상태로 향후 생산현장에 적용될 계획이다.

관측기법을 이용한 갠트리 크레인의 고장 진단 (Fault Detection of Gantry Crane System By using Observation Technique)

  • This paper presents a fault detection asnd isolation algorithm for highly reliable gantry crane system. The algorithm is constructed by multiple PI observer technique, and the magnitude of actuator fault can be estimated by using integrated estimated output error. Also, the complex actuator and /or sensor fault can be detected and isolated by monitoring the integrated error and the estimated state error. Considering the actuator and/or the sensor fault, we verify that these fault can be detected and isolated through simulation. Lastly, we show a simple reliable control method by using the detected fault signal and an added observer.
