  • This study presented specific alternatives for the use of digital storytelling elements as college education and provided basic data for future Serious games to be more popularized and used as reference materials in various academic circles by considering the criteria for the quality evaluation of game contents, which had been pointed out as limitations of functional games. In particular, the factors to be considered were mainly in developing functional games to learn the clinical reasoning process.

  • In AI research Go is regarded as the most challenging board game due to the positional evaluation difficulty and the huge branching factor. MCTS is an exciting breakthrough to overcome these problems. The idea behind AlphaGo was to estimate the winning rate of a given position and then to lead deeper search for finding the best promising move. In this paper, using non-strategic MCTS we verified the fact that most pro players regard the best first move as Tengen (Origin of heaven) in $9{\times}9$ Go is correct. We also compared the average winning rates of the most popular first moves.

  • The popularization of VR content is slow. It's because they have not created a new visual experience, that is, 'utility' beyond 'interest'. The utility of VR content starts from functional reality. And to enhanced it, realistic interaction is required. Specifically, this study presents three methods of network play, character artificial intelligence, and Haptic implementation. In order to confirm the hypothesis, we conducted all phases of VR content production from baseball to contents production, play test, and technical verification. Through the test of the user and the evaluation institution about the final product, it was evaluated that it contributed to the realization of the content realism through the realistic visual effect, the play presentation, and the impact evaluation by the vibration.

The educational game was created based on considering this social environment. Namely, students can enter university as playing online or mobile game through Enter Literacy Assessment game service. The Enter Literacy Assessment game service provides various tests which are math, english, science or essay that real university wants through online or mobile game. For this, general concept about Enter Literacy Assessment game service and characteristic establishment and limitation of existing research should be understood. The research refers to relationship between Self-Determination Theory which is the representative theory related with psychological desire of human intrinsic and Enter Literacy Assessment game service. Therefore, development of Enter Literacy assessment Serious Game is a new opportunity factor to take two dominants which are secure of university competitive power and excellent personnel and challenge for development of serious game.

  • To strengthen the competitiveness of the game industry, one needs to develope a tool for evaluation of the satisfaction level of the game users, which leads to the improvement of the quality of games and increment of the amount of game trade. In this study, we developed factors to measure the satisfaction level and estimate their distributional properties. For the purpose, using a survey data for RPG games, we discussed several aspects for normalization of score distribution for satisfaction factors and estimated their density function by use of parametric density estimation of SAS/INSIGHT. We believe that the proposed results help us to predict or estimate the satisfaction level of newly developed games as well as the current popular games.

  • In the online game that thousands of participants connect to a game world by using Internet simultaneously, participants of the game world may have different hardwares and network environments, and messages of participants should be synchronization. A solution for the synchronization problem is to wait for a certain amount of time until the server processes the message. It is not easy to determine a suitable waiting period because of the trade-off between the fairness and the responsiveness. In this paper we propose a method to decide a waiting period by considering features of the MMOFPS game and the probability of interaction among participants. We implement the proposed method and perform experiments for the performance evaluation.
