Objectives : The purposes of this study were to investigate the recognition of Mibyeong, symptom, management plan and correlation between quality of life and health condition, and to suggest a plan for managing Mibyeong status. Methods : Participants were recruited based on the same sampling methods used on the previous study performed in 2013 based on area, gender and age. Questionnaires were collected by Gallup Korea professional surveyor through face-to-face interviews. The questionnaires contain questions about the recognition of Mibyeong, symptom, management plan and the quality of life in accordance with the relevant health conditions. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis and the results were expressed as percentage ratios (%). Results : 1,100 of people were acquired in 2015. The responses for "First time to hear of Mibyeong" have shown that the percentage were reduced from 80% to 67% compared with 2013 data. The ratio of Mibyeong's symptoms in 2015 were similar to 2013. we suggested some ways to deal with the Mibyeong status including behavior adjustment (non smoking, non alcohol, control sleep pattern), herbal tea, health functional food, exercise, preventive health care (qi-gong, yoga), meditation, home health care medical device (hot-pack, seat device for fumigation, massager), and medical service (hospital, medical clinic oriental medical clinic). Almost people showed that positive opinion with them. There were significant correlation between quality of life with the health status rather than Mibyeong or disease group. Conclusions : This study was performed through scientific questionnaires collected in 2013 and 2015 to investigate people's understanding of Mibyeong as a present condition in Korean public. Some questions had significantly different responds between both years while others showed similar trends for both years. These results suggest that the concept of Mibyeong in oriental medicine could provide a management mechanisms that help people to manage the Mibyeong status.

The 6th industrialization, which is the policy strategy to combine the 1st, 2nd, 3rd agro-food industries in order to create synergy effects, is one of the most important policy strategies for the Korean government. Local governments as well as the central government, especially the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, have introduced various specific programs for the 6th industrialization. Among them, the 6th industry antenna shops located in Cheonan and Daejeon which were introduced by the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government to offer a better market place for 6th industry producers. However, few studies have been conducted to evaluate the performance of 6th industry antenna shops. The purpose of this paper is to analyze consumers' satisfaction of 6th industry antenna shops through survey and econometric modeling and to present some implications of the better operation of the 6th industry antenna shops. The results of the studies in this paper present some of the following findings: first, the overall level of satisfaction towards 6th industry antenna shops is high but consumers still claim some problems. Second, products which are sold at 6th industry antenna shops have important problems, including high prices and deficient product variety. Third, if these problems were fixed, the operation of 6th industry antenna shops would be successful and contribute to the development of 6th industrialization in Korea.

Purpose: To evaluate the influence of experiences of witnessing tobacco advertising and preferences of tobacco companies' social responsibility (CSR) on current and future smoking intentions in adolescents. Methods: Data were collected from 700 adolescents living in Korea representing 7 metropolitan cities and 8 provinces in the method of proportional random sampling. The Gallup's data collection system was adopted using 1:1 face to face interviews. The witness of tobacco advertising was determined by 'yes', or 'no' responses to three survey items and to four survey items for preferences of tobacco CSR. For statistical analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact test and logistic regression were used. Results: 98.4% of the adolescents had experiences of witnessing tobacco advertising. POP (OR=103.44, 95% CI: 8.22~1301.45) and magazine advertisement (OR=6.07, 95% CI: 1.34~22.58) had a significant effect on their current smoking. Also, POP (${\beta}$=.24, p<.001) and movie advertisement (${\beta}$=.42, p<.001) had a significant effect on their future smoking intentions. As for the preferences of tobacco CSR, cultural-art support activities (${\beta}$=.15, p=.025) and environmental purifying campaigns (${\beta}$=-.15, p=.034) had a significant effect on their future smoking intentions. Conclusion: Witness of tobacco advertising and positive responses to tobacco CSR are associated with current and future smoking intentions in adolescents.
Objectives: This study investigated the average number of drinkers in Korea, the number of high-risk drinkers, the average amount of alcohol consumed by high-risk drinkers, and the types of alcohol consumed according to the characteristics of the group of dependent drinkers. Methods: The results were obtained by analyzing the following data: The Global Status Report on Alcohol and Health; Country Profile 2014; WHO Country Profile 2014; Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2014, Korean Statistical Information Service; National Tax Statistics-Liquor Tax; Gallup Drinking Frequency Survey 2015 Results: This study found that a large proportion of drinkers in Korea are already high-risk drinkers, and even among drinkers, alcohol consumption was highly biased. It was reported that 49.8% of men in the problem, abuse, and dependence groups accounted for 92.4% of total alcohol consumption among the male population. Notably, the 9.6% of men making up the dependent group consumed more than 30% of the alcohol ingested among males. Women had significant variations within groups that were considered high-risk and exhibited a large share of alcohol consumption in the problem (10.0% of the female population), abuse (1.8% of the female population), and dependence (1.5% of the female population) groups, constituting 72.8% of total alcohol consumption. The average amount of alcohol consumed by drinkers in Korea seems to have exceeded the level of intake by high-risk groups. Alcohol-dependent groups consumed 900.7 mL of soju, 405.2 mL of table wine, and 2,043.8 mL of beer, which is very similar to the consumption average of 2,031 mL of beer and 895.2 mL of soju in the drinking group. Conclusion: It has been shown that men's dependence on alcohol is serious, and it is possible to infer that alcohol consumption in some vulnerable groups is very high. As the average alcohol intake among alcohol-dependent groups and ordinary drinkers is very similar, it is highly likely that the drinker is an alcohol-dependent consumer in Korea.

Legislated in 1988, the Occupational Safety and Health Expenses Criteria, has been giving a positive impact on improving the safety of construction sites. Previous researchers have been insisting that the rate is not enough to ensure the safety and health of the construction site. However, according to Korea Gallup's survey of more than 1000 construction sites in 2012, the respondents replied that large number of them did not comply with the criteria of the Occupational Safety and Health Expenses. This study analyses the completed works cost statistics of construction projects to figure out the compliance rate of the criteria. This study confirmed that the compliance rates are substantially low in most types of clients and the result is expected to be used in future research on appropriate safety and health expenses rate and on improving compliance rate of the criteria.
Objectives : In this study, we diagnosed Mibyeong group of adult by taking into Mibyeong Index consideration, and identified the correlation of a Mibyeong group with cold-heat pattern and life quality of them. Methods : The questionnaires were collected by Gallup Korea professional surveyor through face to face interviews. To analyze the differences between health and mibyeong group, we used the descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, ANOVA. And multinomial logistic regression was used to generate the odds ratios (ORs) and 95 % confidence interval (CI) for the differences between health and mibyeong group. Results and Conclusions : The gender composition of respondents in this study that there 545 male (49.5%) and 555 female (50.5%). The score of both cold pattern(health: $21.33{\pm}4.25$, MI 1: $22.43{\pm}4.29$, MI 2: $24.09{\pm}5.03$; post hoc test, p <0.001) and heat pattern(health: $18.4{\pm}4.01$, MI 1: $19.48{\pm}4.10$ MI 2: $19.88{\pm}4.81$; post hoc test, p <0.001) in mibyeong group is higher than the score health group. And, these result have no relevance to age. The score of both Physical component summary (PCS) and Mental component summary (MCS) in health group is higher than the score mibyeong group. Cold-heat pattern and quality of life vary significantly according to health status. This results suggest the analysis of cold-heat pattern and quality of life by health status could provide the setting of direction to promote public health depending on health status.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate of Quality of life and Mibyeong index of abnormal symptoms by Sasang constitution. Methods A total of 1,100 people were recruited into this study and were collected by Gallup Korea. Sasang constitutions were diagnosed based on KS-15 (Korean sasang constitutional diagnostic questionnaire) Questionnaire which comprised body type, personality and symptom. In addition, SF-12 (Shot form-12) questionnaire was used to evaluate the quality of life status. Mibyeong status was categorized through Mibyeong tool. Data were analyzed through one-way ANOVA to investigate the difference between quality of life and Mibyeong index on Sasang constitution. Results The PCS (physical component scale) which represents the physical health index and MCS (mental component scale) which represents mental health index showed significant differences among Sasang constitution (p<.001). In addition, The Mibyeong Index (p<.001) which represents abnormal symptom type showed significant difference for Sasang constitution. As for the Mibyeong, only pain (p=0.047) and fatigue (p=0.021) had changes for the Sasang constitution. Conclusions Quality of life and Mibyeong index vary significantly according to Sasang constitution. This results suggest the analysis of Mibyeong index by Sasang constitution could provide the setting of direction to promote public health depending on Sasang constitution.

Objectives: To develop and evaluate the applicability of a health literacy instrument in patients with diabetes by measuring their ability to understand diabetes-related words. Methods: Diabetes-related words were extracted from the Korean Diabetes Association's website and literature reviews. In the first phase, three nursing researchers evaluated 2,661 diabetes-related words based on graded lexical vocabularies and what patients need to know about self-care, and the narrowed them to 255 words. In the second phase, a content validity assessment was conducted by an expert panel. In the third phase, the remaining 25 words were administered to 200 conscientious with type 2 patients aged 40 years old and using a Gallup survey from March 3 to 17, 2016 in Seoul, Korea. Descriptive analysis and Rasch analysis were performed to test psychometric properties. Results: The mean score was 21.47 with a range of 0 to 25. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .92. The health literacy instrument using diabetes-related words had a ceiling effect response. Conclusions: Diabetes-related words are useful and reliable items for testing the health literacy of diabetes patients. Future study is needed to develop and validate health literacy measures for diabetic patients.
Purposes: The purpose is to establish the direction of healthcare R&D through private nonprofit organization. Methodology: The data is divided into two groups: 12 physicians and pharmacists, and 16 persons including professors related to university donation, non-profit foundation executives. Each group was subjected to two Delphi surveys. To analyze the validity of the opinion, the content validity ratio and the consensus of experts were verified. Findings: Funding should be invested in 'development research' and 'application research'. The factors that hinder the donation culture are 'donation prevention system such as tax imposition system and rebate double penalty system', 'insufficient motivation of fund raising person', and 'lack of fund specializing specialist'. The fund raising strategy should be centered on a small number of large donors or a balance between large and small donors. The fund raising target should be effective to raise funds for corporate and individual donors. It is necessary to clarify the purpose of the social problem to be solved by the campaign strategy for promoting donation, to announce the validity of the trust and transparency of the institution, and to emphasize the social investment by the private sector. Practical Implications: It is necessary to present directions through private nonprofit organizations for the future development of healthcare R&D. The legal and institutional deficiencies of the domestic nonprofit organization fundraising infrastructure should be improved. In order to create a social investment climate, it is necessary to improve the awareness of donations and develop various donation programs for the private sector.
