Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the effects of Cyperi Rhizoma (CR) on changes in weights morphological and histopathological observations in Polycystic Ovary(PCO) rats. Methods: PCO was induced by single intramuscular injection with EV(2mg) in female rats. Normal group(n=8) were injected with sesame oil and orally administrated distilled water for five weeks. PCO control group(n=8) were injected with EV and orally administrated distilled water for five weeks. CR treated group(n=8) were injected with EV and orally administrated CR for five weeks. Then we measured weight of body, ovaries. The histopathology changes of ovaries, and the expression of nerve growth factor(NGF) were also evaluated. Results: Single injection of EV induced suppression of weight gain, formation of cysts, increase of NGF expression. Oral administration of CR prevent suppression of weight gain shown in control group. In addition CR group showed upward tendency of ovarian size. Formation of cystic follicles induced by EV injection is suppressed by CR treatment. In additon, CR treatment lowered expression levels of nerve growth factor(NGF), which were elevated by induction of PCOS. Conclusion: These results suggest that CR can be used for patients with PCOS to prevent formation of cystic follicles and malfunction of ovary. And also suggest that the related mechanisms are involved in suppression of NGF expression.

This paper presents a MedRadio-band low power low noise amplifier for Medical Devices. A proposed MedRadio-band low power low noise amplifier adopts a current-reuse resistive feedback topology to increase overall gm and reduce power consumption. The gain of the LNA increases by the Q-factor of the additional series RLC input matching network, and its noise figure is minimized by the similar factor. Furthermore, it consumes low power because of low supply voltage and current reuse technique. By exploiting the $g_m$-booting and matching network property, the proposed MedRadio-band low noise amplifier achieves a noise figure of 0.85 dB, a voltage gain of 30 dB, and IIP3 of -7.9 dBm while consuming 0.18 mA from a 1 V supply voltage in $0.13{\mu}m$ CMOS technology.

Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary yeast hydrolysate (YH) supplementation on intestinal morphology, barrier, and anti-inflammatory functions of broilers. Methods: A total of 320 one day old male broilers were randomly allocated into four groups with eight replicates of ten broilers each. The broilers were supplemented with a basal diet (the control group) or basal diets adding 50, 100, 150 mg/kg YH, respectively. This trial lasted for 42 days. The orthogonal polynomial contrasts were used to determine the linear and quadratic effects of increasing levels of YH. Results: In our previous research, supplementing YH improved growth performance by enhancing body weight gain but decreased feed-to-gain ratio. In this study, compared with the control group, dietary YH addition linearly and quadratically decreased serum diamine oxidase activity (p<0.05). Additionally, supplementing YH linearly and/or quadratically decreased jejunal crypt depth (CD), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) concentration as well as mucin 2, interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-1β, TNF-α, nuclear factor kappa B, and myeloid differentiation factor 88 gene expression levels (p<0.05). Whereas the jejunal villus height (VH), VH/CD, IL-10 concentration as well as zonula occludens-1 and IL-10 gene expression levels were linearly and/or quadratically increased by YH supplementation (p<0.05). Conclusion: Dietary YH supplementation improved intestinal morphology, barrier and anti-inflammatory functions while decreased intestinal permeability of broilers, which might be related with altering pertinent genes expression. This study provides evidence of YH as a promising feed additive for broilers.

A multilayer piezoelectric transformer(MPT) for step-down voltage was made by ceramic stack process. And then, the characteristics of piezoelectric transformer, such as resonance frequency, matching impedance, electro-mechanical coupling coefficient, voltage gain, heat generation and efficiency, are analyzed. The piezoelectric transformer consists of a lead zirconate titanate ceramic with a high electromechanical quality factor. The piezoelectric transformer, with a multilayered construction in the thickness direction, was formed with dimensions 15mm long, 15mm wide and 5mm thick.

A CMOS RF bandpass amplifier which performs both functions of low-noise amplifier and bandpass filter is designed for the application of 1.9 ㎓ RF front-end in wireless receivers. The positive-feedback Q-enhancement technique is used to overcome the low gain and low Q factor of the bandpass amplifier. The designed bandpass amplifier is simulated with HSPICE and fabricated using HYUNDAI $0.8\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 2-poly 2-metal full custom process. Under 3 V supply voltage, results of simulation show that the CMOS bandpass amplifier provides the power gain 23dB, noise figure 3.8 dB, and power dissipation 55mW.

This paper presents the validities of the removal time of side forms considering the relationship between rebound number of P type schmidt hammer and compressive strength. According to test results, compressive strength of 40% of W/C at 12 hours shows 16kgf/$cm^{2}$ and 50% of W/C at 15 hours, 13kgf/$cm^{2}$. Rebound number at 9 hours after casting shows 13 and 9 (W/C 40% and W/C 50%). According to the regression analysis, rebound number of P type schmidt hammer to gain 50kgf/$cm^{2}$ of is estimated 20.1. It is thought that desirable rebound number of P type schmidt hammer to gain 50kgf/$cm^{2}$ is determined 25 considering safety factor.

In this paper, the scheme of a single module for simultaneous operation of all-optical computing circuits, namely half adder and half subtractor, are realized using semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) based logic gates. Optical XOR gate by employing a SOA based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) configuration is used to get the sum and difference outputs. A carry signal is generated using a SOA-four wave mixing (FWM) based AND gate, whereas, the borrow is generated by employing the SOA-cross gain modulation (XGM) effect. The obtained results confirm the feasibility of our configuration by proving the good level of quality factor i.e. ~5.5, 9.95 and 12.51 for sum/difference, carry and borrow, respectively at 0 dBm of input power.

There can be two methods in control systems: one is to use a linear controller, the other is to use a nonlinear controller. The PID controller and the fuzzy controller can be said to belong the linear and the nonlinear controller respectively. In this paper, a new hybrid controller which is consist of the linear PID controller of which the gain is tuned and the nonlinear self tuning fuzzy controller is proposed. In the PID controller, an algorithm which parameterizes the proportional, the intergral, and the derivative gain as a single parameter is used to improve the performance of the PID controller. In the self tuning fuzzy controller, an algorithm which changes the shape of the triangle membership function and changes the scaling factor which is multiplied to the error and the error change. The evaluation of the performance of the suggested algorithm is carried on by the simulation for the Rhino XH-2 robot manipulator with 5 links revolute joints.

Empirical equations for the oxide thickness and the weight gain of Zircaloy-4 cladding during the oxidation in high temperature, high pressure steam have been developed. Firstly, the empirical equations for oxide thickness in 1 atm steam in 700~100$0^{\circ}C$ were made, then, the enhancement factor for the steam pressure effects on Zircaloy-4 cladding oxidation in high temperature steam was added. Based on the analysis of the weight fraction of dissolved oxygen in metal layer, empirical equations for the weight gain of Zircaloy-4 in high pressure, high temperature steam were developed. We compare the developed empirical equations with the Baker-Just correlation. The Baker-Just correlation can give a non-conservative estimation of oxidation of Zircaloy-4, depending on the steam pressure. These developed empirical equations can be used for the correct estimation of oxidation of Zircaloy-4 during accident analysis.

The active compensation of operational amplifeir is that it compensates the phase shift and the attennation of gain of OP Amp, according as the frequency increases. The compensation circuit is applied to VCVS and interting integrator. For VCVS, the phase shift of proposed compensated circuit is not concern with the frequency and the gain chracteristic is better than the proposde circuit by Soliman, according as the rate of feedback resistors of compensated circuit changes. Voltage follower accomplishies compgnsation using the same circuit. Also, the compensation circuit to increase O-ffactor in inverting integrator is proposed.
