GPS 음영지역 극복을 위한 이동로봇의 실험적 위치추정 (Localization Performance Enhancement on GPS Interfering Spot)

  • This paper presents localization performance enhancement on GPS interfering spot for mobile robot. Localization system applied Extended Kalman filter algorithm that utilized Diffrential GPS and odometry, inertial sensors. In this paper, different noise covariance is applied to Extended Kalman Filter according to the GPS quality. Experiment results show that proposed localization system improve considerably localization performance of mobile robots.

  • The INS/GPS integration system is designed by employing an adaptive filter that can estimate the measurement noise variance using the residual of the filter. To verify the efficiency of the proposed loosely-coupled INS/GPS integration system, simulation is performed by assuming that GPS information has large position errors. Simulation results show that the proposed integration system with the adaptive filter is more effective in estimating the position and attitude errors than those with the Extended Kalman Filter.

  • Gunner primary sight(GPS) stabilization system lays line of sight(LOS) to find out a target and transmits informations to the fire control system (FCS). In a moving vehicle, accuracy of LOS and FCS depends on the design of GPS and servomechanism system. The heavy vibration of vehicle on the severe off-road environment degenerates the stabilization capability of GPS. In this study, to stabilize of elevation for GPS using the variable structure control, we derived the dynamic equation of GPS system and designed the variable structure controller. Computer simulation results fulfilled the static and dynamic stability of GPS using the variable structure control.

  • As a basic research for the detection of GPS spoofing signal we study to generate a GPS fake signal which can mislead GPS receivers, and show that the fake signal is generated and transmitted through a pseudolite and the GPS receivers produce a wrong position as designated in the fake signal.

  • 9 GPS data with a 30 second sampling rate were extracted from the GPS raw data that recorded with 1 second interval for interpolation. 9 GPS data were interpolated using lagrange interpolation method and compared to the GPS raw data. Using a 9th-order interpolation, error of interpolated code data were within 0.5m.

  • For real-time displacement monitoring of large-scale structures, the high-rate (>1 Hz) GPS data processing is necessary, which is not possible even for the scientific GPS data processing softwares. Since the baseline is generally very short in this case, most of the atmospheric effects are removed, resulting in the unknowns of position and integer ambiguity. The number of unknowns in real-time kinematic GPS positioning makes the positioning impossible with usual approach, thus two-step approach is tested in this study.

  • This paper shows simulation results for stability and performance of two INS/GPS integration systems. First, the code tracking error of GPS receiver is analyzed by spectrum analysis and simulated for the tight and loose INS/GPS integrations. Next, stability of the integrated systems are simulated using root locus method. As loop filter in the GPS receiver, passive filter and active filter are used and compared.

  • This paper is concerned with the vehicle platooning in the AHS (Automated Highway Systems). For this, a relative navigation system is developed for the vehicles operating as a platoon. The relative navigation system is based on two sensors including GPS and MMWR (Millimeter-Wave Radar) and the federated Kalman Iter processing measurements of them. The architecture of this system requires GPS measurements of a preceding vehicle via communication link.   • GPS sensors provide accurate position and velocity of moving vehicles. However, GPS is weak at intermittent signal loss and large position error. Combination with INS improves the GPS position accuracy during the GPS signal loss. In this paper, a fusion filter using GPS and INS is developed and its perfomance is analyzed with RC car and RC airplane experiments.
