Rapid and Accurate GPS Data Processing with Ultra-rapid Orbits (초신속궤도력을 이용한 신속한 고정밀 GPS 데이터 처리)

  • Rapid and accurate data processing is required in many GPS(Global Positioning System) applications including surveying. While one can use four different kinds of GPS satellite orbits, we evaluated the accuracy and precision of each kind of orbits to find the best candidate for rapid and accurate data processing. The four different kinds of orbits we: broadcast orbits from GPS satellites; and ultra-rapid orbits, rapid orbits, and precise orbits provided by international GPS data analysis centers such as IGS. With GIPSY and ultra-rapid orbits, we could get the positioning accuracy of 1.5cm from seven days of GPS data. From this study, we conclude that rapid and accurate data processing is achieved with GIPSY and ultra-rapid orbits.

  • Recently data, which are obtained by the airborne laser scanner system have been utilized to rapidly obtain three-dimensional location coordinates for a large area. According to operation regulation, the distance between a GPS base station and a aircraft GPS is fixed within a radius of 30km. In this paper, we compare data obtained by GPS observation station operated in National Geographic Information Institute with those obtained by GPS base station for making a airborne laser survey.

Experimental Implementation of Continuous GPS Data Processing Procedure on Near Real-Time Mode for High-Precision of Medium-Range Kinematic Positioning Applications (고정밀 중기선 동적측위 분야 응용을 위한 GPS 관측데이터 준실시간 연속 처리절차의 실험적 구현)

  • This paper deals with the high precision of GPS measurement reduction and its implementation on near real-time and kinematic mode for those applications requiring centimeter-level precision of the estimated coordinates, even if target stations are a few hundred kilometers away from their references. We designed the system architecture, data streaming and processing scheme. Intensive investigation was performed to determine the characteristics of the GPS medium-range functional model, IGS infrastructure and some exemplary systems. The designed system consisted of streaming and processing units; the former automatically collects GPS data through Ntrip and IGS ultra-rapid products by FTP connection, whereas the latter handles the reduction of GPS observables on static and kinematic mode to a time series of the target stations' 3D coordinates. The data streaming unit was realized by a DOS batch file, perl script and BKG's BNC program, whereas the processing unit was implemented by definition of a process control file of BPE. To assess the functionality and precision of the positional solutions, an experiment was carried out against a network comprising seven GPS stations with baselines ranging from a few hundred up to a thousand kilometers. The results confirmed that the function of the whole system properly operated as designed, with a precision better than ${\pm}1cm$ in each of the positional component with 95% confidence level.

  • 기존 RTK-GPS는 고가의 장비인 RF방식의 무선모뎀을 사용함으로써 무선국의 허가, 전파의 지리적 장애물에 의한 영향, 전송거리의 제한, 주파수 혼신, 주파수 자원의 유한성 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 휴대전화를 전송 매체로 이용하여 보정 데이터를 송 수신하는 방법으로, PDA 환경하에서 RTK-GPS 보정 데이터를 전송하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 기준국의 서버는 GPS 수신기와 연결된 RS-232 시리얼 포트로부터 보정 데이터를 수신하여 휴대전화와 연동을 통한 이동국의 PDA 단말기로 보정 데이터를 전송하고, RS-232 시리얼 포트를 통해 이동국의 GPS수신기에 전달한다. 이동국의 측위프로그램은 GPS수신기로부터 RSC-232 시리얼 포트를 통한 위치 정보를 수신하여 상대측위를 하게되며, 정확한 위치 측정이 이루어진다.

  • 최근 많은 연구들이 사람들의 삶을 예측하기 위해 개인의 일상적인 패턴을 표현하는 구조를 찾아내는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 목표를 위해 사용되는 데이터 중에서 핸드폰을 통해 수집된 데이터는 사용자가 항상 소지하고 있다는 점에서 그 가치가 높다. 그 중에서도 GPS 데이터는 다른 로그 데이터에 비해 가시적이기 때문에 개인의 일상을 표현하는데 더 효율적이다. 본 연구는 핸드폰에서 수집한 GPS 데이터를 Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) 모델에 적용하여 사용자의 행동을 분석하는 주제를 다루려고 한다. 특히 이 논문에서는 개인의 현재 장소가 행동에 영향을 크게 미치는 요소라 가정하고 사용자가 특정 지역을 찾아갔을 때 방문 목적을 찾는 것으로 행동 분석을 구체화하였다. 아래의 내용에서 인사동에서 수집한 GPS 데이터를 이 모델에 적용하여 사용자에게 중요한 위치들로 이루어진 '주제들'을 발견하고, 인사동 방문 목적을 추론하는 실험을 설명할 것이다.

  • The GPS/INS integrated navigation system, which is one of the electronic equipments mounted on military aircraft store, can not directly receive GPS signals by the aircraft wing before the drop, so GPS navigation data is received from the aircraft and used for filter integration, afterwards, the integrated navigation is performed using the GPS information directly received through the antenna. In this case, it is possible to operate the mount in old aircraft without any modification of the aircraft when GPS data is transmitted using wireless. However, the delay occurs while the aircraft navigation data is transmitted to the integrated navigation filter of the aircraft store via wireless, which affects the time synchronization of the GPS measurement and the INS information, affecting the integrated navigation performance. In this paper, an algorithm to analyze and compensate the effect of generation and transmission delay that can occur when implementing GPS/INS integrated navigation system of aircraft store that receives GPS data via wireless.

  • In this paper, ECEF to ECI coordinate transformation algorithm which uses EOP parameters in GPS civil navigation message is introduced, and ECEF to ECI coordinate transformation simulation results were analyzed. The ECEF to ECI coordinate transformation includes GPS to UTC, and UTC to other types of time conversions and EOP data processing algorithms. The ECEF to ECI coordinate conversion algorithm was certified using real LEO satellite position, velocity GPS data, and EOP data which offered by the Earth Orientation Center.

  • There are many GPS software packages and this document compared the result of baseline processing by Bernese GPS software with it by GPSurvey software. This paper also analyzed the results and investigated considerations when very long baselines are processed. There are rarely differences which is accompanied by baseline distance when it is processed by Bernese GPS software but there are somewhat differences which is accompanied by baseline distance when it is processed by GPSurvey software.

Development of an Internet Based GPS Data Processing Service (인터넷 기반 GPS 데이터 처리 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • As GPS equipments improve, one can acquire GPS data easily in the field. To obtain precise and accurate coordinates, however, post processing is additionally required and the processing needs high degree of skills. Besides, it is very common that we cannot operate processing softwares in the field because the required system environment is usually not prepared. The aim of this study is the development of an internet-based GPS data processing service. For post processing, we used GIPSY developed by JPL. It has many advantages such as obtaining coordinates quickly by using precise or predicted ephemeris. This service proceeds as following orders by interlocking GIPSY software and internet service which is operated on a Linux platform: Users upload the raw data file on the internet, then GIPSY runs automatically and then the user gets the result in the field. We use an Apache web server as the hosting program and PHP scripts are used in coding web pages. The total processing time including data-uploading was around 30 seconds for a 24-hour data with a 30-second sampling rate.

  • Recently, In order to provide ubiquitous service, we develop each middleware and interface for sensors networks, RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) and GPS(Global Positioning System). We use GPS for the location-based services, RFID for identifying the distribution logistics services, sensor networks for collecting the context data such as temperature, humidity, barometric pressure. Recently, there is increasing the need of integrated interface for using these sensor elements complexly in agriculture and livestock, construction, medical applications and, etc. This paper developments a integrated common interface for supporting efficiently process of sensing data using RFID, GPS and sensor network. This interface have the filtering function, parsing function, queuing function, interface management function, access function and, etc. We present the integrated frame structure combined with the collected context data in GPS, RFID and sensor networks and, support the open interface for providing complex ubiquitous application systems. Therefore, this interface will be efficiently used the system using RFID, GPS and sensor network, and supported many ubiquitous application services.
