본 연구에서는, 수문해석모형과 국산 GIS 엔진인 HyGIS와 직접연계를 통해 자료수집 분석, 모의수행 및 결과도시를 일괄적으로 수행될 수 있도록 GIS-수문통합모형을 개발하였다. GIS 기반 수문모형의 자동화를 위해 유역 추출, 하도망 생성, 유출 매개변수의 산정 및 수문모형 진행을 필요한 모든 과정들에 대해서 사용자 인터페이스를 구축하고, 강우자료, 레이다/위성자료, 설계강우 조건으로부터 NGIS를 활용한 수문분석을 위한 NGIS자료의 표준화 과정을 제시하였다. 수문해석을 위한 유역추적방법에는 Clark, SCS, Snyder 방법, 하도추적방법에는 Muskingum, Muskingum-Cunge 방법 등과 같은 실제 실무분야에서 많이 이용되는 방법들이 이용 가능하도록 구성하였다. 수문모형과 NGIS DB와의 Interface 기능을 활용하여 국내 실무분야에 적용함에 있어 편의성과 실용성을 갖춘 모형을 개발을 통해, 수문모형 구축 시 NGIS 자료 및 지형 DB의 표준화 과정을 제시하고자 한다.

By introducing Web Services, distributed GIS services from different vendors can be dynamically integrated into a GIS application using the interoperable standard SOAP protocol. However, it is debatable whether SOAP can really meet the performance requirements of GIS. This paper presents an experimental evaluation of the performance of different SOAP variants: standard SOAP, SwA/MIME, and SOAP/MTOM. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate that SOAP performance in communicating large volumes of GIS data could be effectively improved by recent standards. Moreover, SOAP/MTOM is identified to be the fastest and the most efficient messaging protocol.

본 연구에서는 인터넷을 기반으로 하고 GIS(Geographical Information System)와 ITS(Intelligent Transportation System)제어 응용을 고려 한 컴퓨팅 플랫폼으로 EIMAS(Efficient and Intelligent Multi-Agent System)을 제안한다. GIS 와 관련 활용 시스템들은 개방형 지리 정보 처리 상호 운용 개념이 확산되면서 물리적으로 분산된 환경을 가지지게 되었고 이러한 분산 환경에서 프로그램개발과 사용자의 요구에 서비스를 효과적으로 제공하기 위하여, GIS와 이와 연계한 GI(Geographical Information) 활용시스템들의 각기 다른 구성 요소들을 통합하는 시스템이 요구된다. GIS 와 GIS Application으로 ITS(Intelligent Transportation System)위한 Java Mobile Agent와 Multiple Agent System 인 EIMAS를 플렛폼으로 제안한다. 이 시스템은 GIS 시스템과 ITS 시스템에 제공되는 Agent가 활동하는 플레이스 위에서 에이전트가 목적과 워크에 적합한 효율적인 워크플로우를 생성하여 시간 효율적이고 지능적인 분산. 병렬처리를 수행하는 플렛폼을 설계한다.

A geographical resource analysis support system (GRASS) was incorporated to an input and output processor for the agricultural nonpoint source pollution (AGNPS) model. The resulting interface system, GIS-AGNPS was a user-friendly, menu-driven system. GIS-AGNPS was developed to automatically process the input and output data from GIS-based data using GRASS and Motif routines. GIS-AGNPS was consisted of GISAGIN which was an input processor for the AGNPS model, GISAGOUT a output processor for the AGNPS and management submodel. The system defines an input data set for AGNPS from attributes of basic and thematic maps. It also provides with editing modes so that users can adjust and detail the values for selected input parameters, if needed. The post-processor at the system displays graphically the outputs from AGNPS, which may he used to identify areas significantly contributing nonpoint source pollution loads.

Laboratory experiments and on site measurements were conducted to detect partial discharges in GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) using the UHF(Ultra High Frequency) technique that has been applied many places in the world. Experimental results were in good agreement with calculation in locating a partial discharge source using mock-up GIS. Defect type and its location were inferred after a measurement on 345 kV GIS that showed some abnormal phenomenon. Precise examination inside the GIS coincided with the results inferred from the measurement. High reliability of UHF technique for site application was confirmed.

Recent Internet Service Environment has been moved to provide geographic information based on location as well as existent various information. In this paper, we develop an integrated software connecting GIS information to Internet. In the other hand, in GIS S/W, it is important that rapid output of Digital Map and effective trnasmission of specified Digital Map about moving area. To achieve the purpose, we propose a reduced digital format to diminish original digital maps. Also, we develop a GIS-based software engine with functions connecting location information to URL as well as map viewer and map handling. Futhermore, our developed GIS S/W is based Module in LBS application using GPS sensor.

Recently as users' requests for geographic information systems are being more various, several new functions are being added to existing geographic information systems. One of them is linkage of spatial geographic data and video / image data to offer more realistic information of geographic objects to users. Geographic information systems implementing this function are called video geographic information system. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system for providing map data, video data and link information of them to web applications. We 1) design system architecture of a video geographic information system, 2) analyze some processes to construct link information of map data and video data, 3) design database schema to store map data, video data, and link information, and 4) design some XML/GML schema used to query and retrieve these data for web applications.

오늘날 정보화 시대에 GIS 시장은 LBS. 텔레매틱스 등 지리정보 기반의 다양한 컨텐츠를 서비스하는 기업이 늘어나면서 GIS 시장규모가 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서 지리학과 GIS의 특성을 살피고 GIS산업과 시장에서 지리학자들이 기대한 대로 핵심적 역할을 할 수 있는 연구와 교육이 이루어졌는지를 체계적으로 고찰하였다. 지리학과의 관계에서 GIS 기술은 지리학의 공간적 기본 개념을 토대로 현실세계의 문제를 더욱 합리적으로 해결하는데 기여하였다. 반면에 지리학에서의 GIS 활용의 의미는 GIS가 지리학을 이론적 학문에서 현실세계의 문제를 해결하는데 기여할 수 있는 실용적 학문으로 전환을 시켜왔다고 할 수 있다. GIS 분야에서의 지리학의 위상을 파악하기 위해 GIS 교육과정을 분석한 결과, 지리학 및 지리교육전공에서 설정된 GIS 관련 교과목은 GIS 기본이론 및 활용에 편중되어 있다. 또한 GIS 관련 전문학회지에서의 연구결과들의 특성을 살펴보았을 때 지리학자들에 의한 GIS 연구도 주로 공간분석과 응용시스템 개발과 관련된 연구가 타 분야에 비해 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 GIS 분야에서 GIS 전문인력으로서 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 지리학 전공자들은 신기술을 수용하고 GIS를 체계적으로 활용할 수 있도록 양성되어야 한다. 이를 위해 지리학 교육과정에서 GIS 기술을 강화하여 문제해결 능력과 창의적 사고 및 기술능력을 함양해야 한다.

GIS has the basic ability to process high-dense and precise digital data like LiDAR. But the software that common users can use when necessary is expensive and practically impossible for actual use. Thus this study set out to research the methodologies to process and service time series LiDAR data for landslide monitoring.

NGIS사업을 시작으로 GIS 구축사업이 급증하고 있으며, 도시정보화 차원에서 지자체를 중심으로 도시정보시스템(UIS)구축이 확산되고 있다. 인천시는 1999년부터 도시기반정보화사업을 수행하고 있으며, 일차년도 사업으로 하수도관리시스템을 구축하였다. 이러한 하수도관리시스템의 개발에 있어서 사업의 신뢰성과 안전성을 확보하고 시스템의 구축과 운영상의 위험요소 제거를 통하여 사업의 성공적 수행을 목표로 감리를 수행하였다. 기존의 GIS에 대한 감리는 아직 정보시스템 감리와 차별화 되지 못한 실정으로 대부분의 경우 정보시스템감리에 기반을 두고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 인천시 하수도관리시스템 감리 결과를 토대로 정보시스템 감리와 차별화 되는 GIS 감리중점사항을 제시하였다. 이런한 제시는 향후 GIS관련 감리의 정착 및 제도화에 기여하리라 기대된다.
