가정용 연탄보일러의 Non-CO2 배출계수 개발 (Development of Non-CO2 Emission Factor of the Coal Briquette Boiler)

  • In this study, Non-$CO_2$ emission factors were estimated for the coal briquette boiler, which is the Korean heating system. As a result, the $CH_4$ and $N_2O$ emission factors of the coal briquette boiler were estimated to be $11.76gCH_4/TJ$ and $7.44kgN_2O/TJ$, respectively. The results showed that $CH_4$ emission factor was 12 times and $N_2O$ emission factor was 5 times higher than IPCC default value. Also the emission factors developed in this study were compared with a precedent study. The results indicated that were similar to open the air inlet of coal briquette stove because the combustion condition of this study was similar to that of coal briquette stove.

  • In this study, the combustion characteristics were investigated based on the biodrying solid recovered fuel (SRF) in a 5 Ton/day scale combustion boiler. The composition of the combustion gas containing the biodrying SRF was analyzed, the particulate matter, and its HCl content was determined with the air pollutant process test method. Mass balance, carbon balance, and combustion efficiency were calculated according to the equivalence ratio (ER) method; the energy recovery efficiency of the combustion boiler was also analyzed. The overall combustion efficiency of the biodrying SRF was 97.3 % and the energy recovery efficiency was 80.2%.

연소조건 변화에 따른 LP가스버너의 배기특성 (Emission Characteristics of LP Gas Burner for the Variation of Combustion Conditions)

  • An experimental study was carried out to investigate the emission characteristics of LP gas burner for the Practical combustion conditions including fm voltage, inlet area, gas Pressure, emission resistance, duct length and height. The result shows that CO is almost remains constant for the emission fan voltage, but significantly increases with the reduction rate of air inlet, up to 3000ppm at 50% of reduction rate. Also, the variation of gas pressure has no effect to CO of gas boiler due to its governor which controls gas pressure secondly, but it gives an rapid increase of CO for the gas range. The emission resistance test shows that CO is suddenly increased with the reduction rate of emission duct above 70% and main burner is stopped at 90%. The reverse wind test shows that CO is suddenly increased with the air velocity above 7m/s and main burner is stopped at 9m/s. The more horizontal length of emission duct is long and the vertical height is low, CO is infinitesimally increased.

  • The gas-solid reactor, such as rotary kiln, sintering bed, incinerator and CFB boiler, is the one of most widely used industrial reactors for contacting gases and solids. the gas-solid reactor are mainly used for drying, calcining and reducing solid materials. In the gas-solid reactor, heat is supplied to the outside of the wall or inside of the reactor. The heat transfer in gas-solid reactor encompasses all the modes of transport mechanisms, that is, conduction, convection and radiation. The chemical reactions occurring in the bed are driven by energy supplied by the heat transfer. This paper deal with the effect of heat transfer and chemical reaction in the gas-solid reactor.

  • In this study, an investigation into the gas interchangeability and combustion characteristics of natural gas with various compositions was performed. In order to suggest the appropriateness of gas interchangeability using the specific gravity(SG) and the Wobbe index(WI) values, combustion characteristics, which include incomplete combustion and flame lifting, were measured and observed for the upper and lower limits using the gas-oven as a domestic partial-premixed type appliance and the condensing boiler as a domestic premixed type appliance.

SCR facility design for the selective catalyst performance of mixed gas

  • 본 연구에서는 질소화합물을 최적으로 줄일 수 있는 SCR에서 설계 조건과 CFD 해석 결과를 비교해 검토하고자 한다. 이를 위해 보일러의 쉘과 튜브 영역에 대해 설계 기준을 만족하고 있는지 CFD을 이용하여 해석하고 비교하였다. SCR 시스템에서 해석영역은 쉘 측은 가스·공기 열교환기 입구에서 출구까지이고, 튜브 측은 가스·공기 열교환기의 8개 튜브로 설정하였다. CFD 해석을 통해 SCR 시스템의 1차 촉매 면에서 가스의 속도 분포는 2.7%로 설계되었고, NH3/NOx 몰비 분포는 3.7%로 설계 기준을 만족하였다. 또한, 온도 분포의 균일성을 확인하였고 요구 조건인 260℃ 이상을 만족하였다. 촉매에 유입되는 가스의 각도는 2.9도로 설계 조건을 충족하였고, 그리고 발생하는 압력손실도 설계 요구조건을 만족하였다. 이러한 CFD 해석을 통해 각 영역별로 요구되는 설계조건을 만족하여 설계되어 최적으로 운전되고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This study was carried out in order to investigate the relationship roundness of fly ashes and fluidity of fly ash cement paste. electrostatic precipitator system in coal-fired power plant have many successive collection fields in the direction of flue gas travel. In experiment, the roundness of fly ashes collected from the same location had similar values regardless of the load or boiler, and they increased going from the 1st collection filed to third collection filed in the direction of gas movement. In considering the relation between roundness of fly ashes and fluidity of fly ash cement paste, it has a high correlation.

열병합발적용 Dual Fuel Engine의 질소산화물 배출저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reduction of $NO_x$ Emission from Dual Fuel Engine for Co-generation System)

  • This study shows the correlation between $NO_x$ emission in the exhaust gas and various operation factors of dual fuel engine for Co-generation system. General tendency was shown that the thermal efficiency was lowered by the change of operation factors. However these were not confirmed on this experiment. Increasing T4 temperature (exhaust gas temperature at turbo-charger inlet) reduces $NO_x$ emission rate. The higher T4 temperature requires lower excess air as the excess air ratio is controlled by T4 temperature on gas mode operation. Another tendency was that $NO_x$ emission rate is reduced in case of increasing boost air temperature, quantity of pilot oil or bypassing flue gas through the exhaust gas boiler. The diameter of the fuel injection nozzle was changed smaller than design value and the injection timing was readjusted. Thus $NO_x$ emission rate could be reduced as retarding injection timing and changing hole diameter of fuel injection nozzle, however maxium engine out-put was decreased by changing fuel nozzle on the diesel mode operation.

$Co_{2}$ Fixation by Chlorella KR-1 Using Flue Gas and its Utilization as a Feedstuff for Chicks

  • A highly $CO_2$ tolerant microalga, Chlorella KR-1, has been isolated and used to fix $CO_2$ from actual flue gas. Growth of Chlorella KR-1 with the supply of flue gas from a liquified natural gas boiler was comparable to that obtained with 10% $CO_2$. Chlorella KR-1 produced from $CO_2$ fixation using the flue has about 50% crude protein with balanced amino acid profiles. Toxicity was not detected when the microalga was used as a feedstuff for chicks. These results indicate that the KR-1 cells could be a favorable protein source for poultry.
