G-File에 저장된 위치정보 관리 알고리즘 (G-File stored in the location information management algorithm)

  • G-File은 사진촬영의 위치 좌표를 내장한 사진 파일을 이용하여 사용자에게 사진 속 이미지의 위치와 방향각 데이터를 이용한 파일을 말한다[1]. G-File은 사진 파일을 입력받아 저장하는 사진 파일 수신 수단과, 사진 파일을 사진 정보와 위치 정보로 분리하여 피사체의 위치 정보를 추출하는 위치 정보 분석 수단 및 위치 정보를 이용하여 지도상의 대응되는 좌표에 표시하는 위치 안내 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 논문은, 이러한 G-File에 저장된 위치 정보에 대한 관리를 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘은 G-File을 이용하는 사용자에게 정보를 관리하게 하고, G-File 관리에 편리함을 제공하기 위함이다.

Effect of repetitive pecking at working length for glide path preparation using G-file

  • Objectives: Glide path preparation is recommended to reduce torsional failure of nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary instruments and to prevent root canal transportation. This study evaluated whether the repetitive insertions of G-files to the working length maintain the apical size as well as provide sufficient lumen as a glide path for subsequent instrumentation. Materials and Methods: The G-file system (Micro-Mega) composed of G1 and G2 files for glide path preparation was used with the J-shaped, simulated resin canals. After inserting a G1 file twice, a G2 file was inserted to the working length 1, 4, 7, or 10 times for four each experimental group, respectively (n = 10). Then the canals were cleaned by copious irrigation, and lubricated with a separating gel medium. Canal replicas were made using silicone impression material, and the diameter of the replicas was measured at working length (D0) and 1 mm level (D1) under a scanning electron microscope. Data was analysed by one-way ANOVA and post-hoc tests (p = 0.05). Results: The diameter at D0 level did not show any significant difference between the 1, 2, 4, and 10 times of repetitive pecking insertions of G2 files at working length. However, 10 times of pecking motion with G2 file resulted in significantly larger canal diameter at D1 (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Under the limitations of this study, the repetitive insertion of a G2 file up to 10 times at working length created an adequate lumen for subsequent apical shaping with other rotary files bigger than International Organization for Standardization (ISO) size 20, without apical transportation at D0 level.

GT rotary file을 이용한 만곡 근관형성시 작업 효율 및 file 변형 발생에 관한 연구 (A STUDY OF WORKING EFFICIENCY AND FILE DEFORMATION OF GT ROTARY FILE IN CURVED CANALS)

  • Root canal preparation process is of utmost importance in successful treatment of root canal. Also, one of the most important purpose of the root canal preparation is to enlarge the root canal three dimensionally without changing the curvature of the root canal However as the curvature of the root canal increases, there are many difficulties involved in formation of optimum root canal. Therefore in order to solve the above mentioned problems, new developments in methods of root canal preparation and equipments for such purposes were made. Recently, vigorous studies about newly introduced engine-driven nickel-ti-tanium rotary file are conducted. As shown in research results to dates, it is well established that the use of nickel-titanium file is better suited for curved root canal than stainless steel file in maintaining the curvature or root canal and reducing the deformation of root canal. However it is also acknowledged that there are a few discrepancies in research results according to protocol, due to failure to remove variables in experiments. In addition, although it is recommended by the manufacturer that the GT rotary file should maintain a low rotational speed of 150~350rpm and 'light pressure' as light as not to break the lead of a pencil, academic studies about the vertical force which is not yet standardized are not sufficiently explored. Therefore, this research devised and utilized a special research equipment to standardize the appropriate range of vertical force for GT rotary file through experiments by breaking of the lead of a pencil as expressed by the manufacturer and to accurately measure factors involved through repeating and recreating the environment of root canal preparation. Forming nine experimental groups by varying the vertical forces (150g. 220g, 300g) and rpm (150rpm, 250rpm, 350rpm), the effects of changing vertical forces and rpm on working efficiency were measured in terms of time expended in root canal preparation by crown-down method using a transparent resin block with 35 degree curvature and GT rotary file (z-test). The following research using this special research equipment that involved nine experimental groups and varying the vertical force for root canal preparation from 300g which is within the normal vertical force range to 700g and 1000g which fall outside the normal rpm range. The results were as follows : 1. Analysis of the experiment results revealed that the time spent in root canal preparation decreased as the vertical forces and rpm increased (p<0.05). Also, the effects of rpm were greater than those of the vertical forces within the normal vertical force range ($\beta$-weight test). 2. Observation of the deformation of GT rotary file revealed that deformation increases in a direct correlation with the vertical force increase and in a reverse correlation with the rpm decrease. In the case of the vertical forces close to the normal range, the probability of GT rotary file deformation were quite different depending on the rpm changes. In the case of greater vertical forces, the occurrences of deformation of the file were more frequent regardless of the rpm changes. 3. Deformation and breakage of file were also commonly observed in the expended time measurement experiments and GT rotary file deformation experiments in which low speed rpm (150rpm) was used and at the curved portion of the resin block.

G-File을 이용한 GPIR 시스템 수신기 개발 (A Study on Development of the GPIR system Receiver Using G-Files)

  • GPIR(GPS Position Information Revision) 시스템은 기존 GPS의 사진촬영 위치와 사진기와 피사체 사이의 각도 데이터, 건물의 위치정보를 포함하고 있는 DB를 활용하여 GPS의 고유 오차범위를 최소화 시켜, GPS를 통한 위치안내 서비스, 내비게이션을 통한 길안내 서비스를 기존 보다 정확한 위치정보를 아려주는 신개념 GPS 시스템이다. GPIR 시스템은 G-File에 저장되어 있는 GPS 정보를 통해 사진 촬영 위치를 파악하게 되며, 위치 정보와 사진 촬영 방향각을 통해 사진 촬영 위치에서 사진 촬영 방향으로 DB를 검색하게 되고, 이렇게 검색된 피사체 위치로의 GPS정보를 보정하여 다시 G-File에 저장하여 보다 정확한 피사체의 위치를 서비스 받을 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 GPIR 사용자가 시스템을 이용할 수 있는 수신기의 설계와 개발 및 시제품 디자인 등에 대하여 논한다.

A Comparative Study on 3D Data Performance in Mobile Web Browsers in 4G and 5G Environments

  • Since their emergence in 2007, smart phones have advanced up to the point that 5G mobile communication in 2019 started to be commercialized. Accordingly, now it is possible to share 3D modeling files and collaborate by means of a mobile web. As the recently commercialized 5G mobile communication network is so useful in sharing 3D modeling files and collaborating that even large-size geometry files can be transmitted at ultra high speed with ultra low transfer delay. We examines characteristics of major 3D file formats such as STL, OBJ, FBX, and glTF and compares the existing 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network with the 5G NR (New Radio) mobile communication network. The loading time and packets of each format were measured depending on the mobile web browser environments. We shows that in comparison with 4G LTE, the loading time of STL and OBJ file formats were reduced as much as 6.55 sec and 9.41 sec, respectively in the 5G NR and Chrome browsers. The glTF file format showed the most efficient performance in all of the 4G/5G mobile communication networks, Chrome, and Edge browsers. In the case of STL and OBJ, the traffic was relatively excessive in 5G NR and Edge browsers. The findings of this study are expected to be utilized to develop a 3D file format that reduces the loading time in a mobile web environment.

중앙기록물관리기관의 종이기록물 영구보존용 마스터 파일로서 JPEG 포맷의 표준화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Standardization of JPEG Format as a Long-Term Preservation Master File for Paper Archives in the Central Archives of Korea)

  • 중앙기록물관리기관이 제정한 원내표준 NAK/G 8-1:2013(v.1.0)에는 종이기록물의 영구보존용 마스터 파일 포맷으로 TIFF, PNG, PDF/A, JPEG 2000 파일 등을 명시하고 있다. 본 연구는 기존 포맷들과 함께 마스터 파일의 요건을 갖춘 JPEG 포맷을 추가하는 표준화 가능성에 대해 검토하였다. 먼저 JPEG 포맷이 갖고 있는 고유의 특징을 소개하고, 대표적인 마스터 파일 표준 포맷인 TIFF 포맷과의 특징 등을 비교 분석과정을 통하여, JPEG 포맷이 마스터 파일 포맷의 기능상의 요건이라는 대전제를 만족하므로 중앙기록물관리기관의 원내표준 내 JPEG 포맷을 추가하는 표준화 필요성을 주장하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 최근 가장 범용적으로 생산되어 지고 있는 JPEG 포맷을 영구보존용 마스터 파일 기본 요건을 충족하는 원내표준 포맷에 추가함으로써, 디지털화 된 종이기록물 원본의 진본성, 범용성, 편의성, 실용성 및 호환성 등 다양한 편익을 이용자들에게 제공할 수 있는 표준 환경을 마련했다는 것이다.

On the comparison of mean object size in M/G/1/PS model and M/BP/1 model for web service

  • This paper aims to compare the mean object size of M/G/1/PS model with that of M/BP/1 model used in the web service. The mean object size is one of important measure to control and manage web service economically. M/G/1/PS model utilizes the processor sharing in which CPU rotates in round-robin order giving time quantum to multiple tasks. M/BP/1 model uses the Bounded Pareto distribution to describe the web service according to file size. We may infer that the mean waiting latencies of M/G/1/PS and M/BP/1 model are equal to the mean waiting latency of the deterministic model using the round robin scheduling with the time quantum. Based on the inference, we can find the mean object size of M/G/1/PS model and M/BP/1 model, respectively. Numerical experiments show that when the system load is smaller than the medium, the mean object sizes of the M/G/1/PS model and the M/BP/1 model become the same. In particular, when the shaping parameter is 1.5 and the lower and upper bound of the file size is small in the M/BP/1 model, the mean object sizes of M/G/1/PS model and M/BP/1 model are the same. These results confirm that it is beneficial to use a small file size in a web service.

Development of ISO14649 Compliant CNC Milling Machine Operated by STEP-NC in XML Format

  • G-code, another name of ISO6983, has been a popular commanding language for operating machine tools. This G-code, however, limits the usage of today's fast evolving high-performance hardware. For intelligent machines, the communications between machine and CAD/CAM departments become important, but the loss of information during generating G-code makes the production department isolated. The new standard for operating machine tools, named STEP-NC is just about to be standardized as ISO14649. As this new standard stores CAD/CAM information as well as operation commands of CNC machines, and this characteristic makes this machine able to exchange information with other departments. In this research, the new CNC machine operated by STEP-NC was built and tested. Unlike other prototypes of STEP-NC milling machines, this system uses the STEP-NC file in XML file form as data input. This machine loads information from XML file and deals with XML file structure. It is possible for this machine to exchange information to other databases using XML. The STEP-NC milling machines in this research loads information from the XML file, makes tool paths for two5D features with information of STEP-NC, and machines automatically without making G-code. All software is programmed with Visual $C^{++}$, and the milling machine is built with table milling machine, step motors, and motion control board for PC that can be directly controlled by Visual $C^{++}$ commands. All software and hardware modules are independent from each other; it allows convenient substitution and expansion of the milling machine. Example 1 in ISO14649-11 having the full geometry and machining information and example 2 having only the geometry and tool information were used to test the automatic machining capability of this system.

집중적인 입출력 스트레스 테스트를 통한 클러스터 파일 시스템 SANiqueTM의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of I/O Intensive Stress Test in Cluster File System SANiqueTM)

  • 본 논문은 저장장치 전용 네트워크인 SAN 상에서 운영되는 공유 파일 시스템 $SANique^{TM}$의 성능평가에 대한 분석내용을 기술하고 이를 통해 독립적 파일 시스템인 EXT3와 비교 분석한다. 성능평가를 위해 클러스터 파일 시스템 위에 오라클 10g 데이터베이스 시스템을 설치하고 ESQL/C 데이터베이스 응용 프로그램을 제작하여 집중적인 입출력 스트레스 테스트를 수행하였다. 다양한 성능평가 결과 비교를 위해 클러스터 파일 시스템 구조, 독립 파일 시스템 구조, 클러스터 및 독립 파일 시스템의 공용으로 사용하는 구조에서 각각 성능평가를 수행하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 본 논문의 다양한 성능평가 결과를 통해 집중적인 입출력 테스트에서 클러스터 파일 시스템 $SANique^{TM}$이 독립 파일 시스템에 비해 우수한 성능을 보임을 입증하였다.

Shaping ability of Ni-Ti Rotary files in combination with GT Rotary Ni-Ti file

  • The objective of this study was to compare the apical shaping ability of the ProFile .04 taper, Lightspeed and HERO 642 rotary instruments and to assess the combined effect of GT Rotary files to Lightspeed and HERO 642 instruments. Forty-eight resin simulated root canal blocks divided into 4 groups with 12 canals. Forty-eight blocks were prepared by one operator with GT Rotary files using a high torque handpiece at 300 rpm. Thirty-six blocks in the three experimental groups were prepared with ProFile 04 taper file, Lightspeed file, HERO 642 file.(omitted)
