  • Multi-functional devices was originally an equipment performing image processing, but function transmitting image data digitized by combining fax function and function of network are added and it was rapidly developed. Also, functions of internet application, application expansion, remote sharing and image treatment were added to multi-functional devices. But, multi-functional devices can cause security vulnerability such as data exposure, eavesdropping, etc. because of the threatening by network connection. Therefore, common criteria of multi-functional devices are necessary, but there is no protection profile for multi-functional devices now. Therefore, concrete standards of evaluation are not applied to evaluate secure for products, so it was difficult to maintain uniformity of evaluation quality. Therefore, this paper developed protection profile for multi-functional devices based on common criteria of evaluation so as to analyze threats of multi-functional devices and use secure multi-functional devices.

  • In this paper we solve a generalized quadratic Jensen type functional equation $m^2 f (\frac{x+y+z}{m}) + f(x) + f(y) + f(z) =n^2 [f(\frac{x+y}{n}) +f(\frac{y+z}{n}) +f(\frac{z+x}{n})]$ and prove the stability of this equation in the spirit of Hyers, Ulam, Rassias, and Gavruta.

  • In this paper, the prototyping process for developing syllable-initial consonant-based game 'Korean Guards' is described. Users may effectively learn Korean words using alphabetically sequential approaches, but the easiness of access bestowed on the smart environments and game algorithms could be fully utilized for the functional advantages for educational purposes. This functional game is developed on Android OS and the prototypical outcome is shown.

  • In this paper, we prove stabilities of the reciprocal difference functional equation $$r(\frac{x+y+z}{3})-r(x+y+z)=\frac{2r(x)r(y)r(z)}{r(x)r(y)+r(y)r(z)+r(z)r(x)}$$ and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation $$r(\frac{x+y+z}{3})+r(x+y+z)=\frac{4r(x)r(y)r(z)}{r(x)r(y)+r(y)r(z)+r(z)r(x)}$$ with three variables. Stabilities of the reciprocal difference functional equation and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation in two variables was proved by K. Ravi, J. M. Rassias and B. V. Senthil Kumar. We extend their results to three variables in similar types.

  • In this paper, we prove stability of the reciprocal difference functional equation $$r\(\frac{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}x_i}{m}\)-r\(\sum_{i=1}^{m}x_i\)=\frac{(m-1){\prod}_{i=1}^{m}r(x_i)}{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}{\prod}_{k{\neq}i,1{\leq}k{\leq}m}r(x_k)$$ and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation $$r\(\frac{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}x_i}{m}\)+r\(\sum_{i=1}^{m}x_i\)=\frac{(m+1){\prod}_{i=1}^{m}r(x_i)}{{\sum}_{i=1}^{m}{\prod}_{k{\neq}i,1{\leq}k{\leq}m}r(x_k)$$ in m-variables. Stability of the reciprocal difference functional equation and the reciprocal adjoint functional equation in two variables were proved by K. Ravi, J. M. Rassias and B. V. Senthil Kumar [13]. We extend their result to m-variables in similar types.

  • This study developed learning content and web pages providing information on Health/Functional Food (HFF) for consumers who come across information indiscriminately from a variety of advertising media such as the Internet and TV. After coming to an understanding of the current situation through literature review and fact-finding, we collected information and commercials on HFF that are exposed to consumers. Focusing on advanced countries such as the U.S. and Japan, we examined the current status of consumer education programs, especially in terms of HFF industry. Further, we referred to the guidelines for consumer education provided by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and monitored the information from a web site that sells dietary supplementary products in the U.S. In addition, we surveyed consumer information on foods for special health use provided by the Japanese National Institute of Health & Nutrition, and investigated a DB of raw materials of function food (functionality/safety documents). Upon a literature review, the 13 functions of HFF were classified. As a result of conducting interviews with consumers, we developed content that was fit for consumers' perspectives. Through this research, we established a web page to enable people to search for information by function and then by raw material. After searching for information by raw materials, searching products by raw materials can be done in cooperation with E-marketplace. Subsequently developed content and education programs were offered on an HFF web page, which has been in operation since 2005. Therefore, it is expected that appropriate information on HFF will be available.

  • In this paper, we suggest a visual language supporting collaboration with functional attributes. The visual language is a set of visual sentences that consist of object icons and operators. The object icon is a user who participates in collaboration. And, the operator means interactive relations between users according to a point of collaborative time. The functional attributes that support various computing orders provide flexibility of interactive relations on collaboration. Also, using representation both synchronous and asynchronous relations in collaboration, the visual language supports efficiently collaboration than conventional visual languages. And, functional attributes of visual sentences are analyzed using $\lambda$ expressions.

  • This paper describes a method for automatic acquisition of wide-coverage treebank-based deep linguistic resources for Japanese, as part of a project on treebank-based induction of multilingual resources in the framework of Lexical-Functional Grammar (LFG). We automatically annotate LFG f-structure functional equations (i.e. labelled dependencies) to the Kyoto Text Corpus version 4.0 (KTC4) (Kurohashi and Nagao 1997) and the output of of Kurohashi-Nagao Parser (KNP) (Kurohashi and Nagao 1998), a dependency parser for Japanese. The original KTC4 and KNP provide unlabelled dependencies. Our method also includes zero pronoun identification. The performance of the f-structure annotation algorithm with zero-pronoun identification for KTC4 is evaluated against a manually-corrected Gold Standard of 500 sentences randomly chosen from KTC4 and results in a pred-only dependency f-score of 94.72%. The parsing experiments on KNP output yield a pred-only dependency f-score of 82.08%.

  • Network-Centric Operational Environment(NCOE) service becomes critical in today's military environment network because reusability of service and interaction are being increasingly important as well in business process. However, the refinement of service by semantic similarity and functional similarity at the business process was not detailed yet. In order to enhance accuracy of refining of business service, in this study, the authors introduce a method for refining service by semantic similarity and functional similarity in BPMN model. The business process are designed in a BPMN model. In this model, candidated services are refined through binding related activities by the analysis result of semantic similarity based on word-net and functional similarity based on properties specification between activities. Then, the services are identified through refining the candidated service. The proposed method is expected to enhance the service identification with accuracy and modularity. It also can accelerate more standardized service refinement developments by the proposed method.

  • Catalog serves a dual purposes. One is finding function(or identifying function) that is identified and located specific items and the other is collocating function which is displayed specific author's all works and all related editions. This study is re-examined the functions of catalog. For catalog's effective serving this study is provided and overviewed the FRBR(Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Record) models as reference conceptual model for functions of catalog.
