The bridge to be analyzed is a self-anchored suspension bridge which is constructed within the country. Forced vibration test was performed with oscillator for verification of safety, maintenance and management. In this study, the feasibility of deduction was verified with the modified analysis model by comparing natural frequency, natural mode and damping ratio of the real bridge, which are obtained from the vibration test of the whole bridge after construction of 3-dimensional self-anchored cable suspension bridge, with the eigenvalue of analytic computation model and evaluating them. As a result of study, the friction of bridge bearing must be considered to get the natural frequencies of flexural vibration, and evaluating the polar moment of inertia is critical factor in analysis modeling in case of torsional vibration. The logarithmic damping ratio of the test appeared to exceed the ordinary one assumed at the design phase.

A hierarchical loglinear model comparison method is developed which is based on the well kmown partitioned likelihood ratio statistiss. For any paels, we can regard the difference of the geedness of fit statistics as the variation explained by a full model, and develop a partial test to compare a full model with a reduced model in that hierarchy. Note that this has similar arguments as that of the regression analysis.

Samsung's newly developed high luminance efficiency 42" VGA plasma display panel is introduced. A new discharge cell structure, SDR (Segmented electrode in Delta color arrayed Rectangular subpixel) has been applied to a full size panel for the first time. In this paper, we describe how this new discharge cell structure for high efficiency is integrated to an energy saving plasma display with better picture quality.

In order to estimate the mean and variance for a Normal distribution which is truncated at both right and left sides, maximum likelihood estimators based on the entire sample from the original distribution are compared with the sample mean and variance of the censored sample which is the data remaining after truncation using simulation. We found that, surprisingly, the mean squared error of the mean based on the censored data Is smaller than that of the full sample estimators.

We have studied the needs for developing plasma displays with 1080p quality and the possibilities to construct an affordable 42-inch full HD PDP. It seems impossible to get a prototype unless we overcome technical difficulties. First, we should find a way to innovatively improve luminous-efficacy and interconnection problems. At the same time, we should find a way to overcome image quality degradation in single scan.
