The Influence of Working Mothers' Socio-Demographic Characteristics and Self-Efficacy on the Child-Rearing Practices (취업모의 사회인구학적 특성과 부모효능감이 자녀 양육 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this atudy was to identify the influence of demographic characteristics of full-time working mother's family on maternal parenting efficacy as well as child-rearing practices and to examime the relationship between mothers with perceived parenting efficacy and child-rearing practices. The subjects for this study were 100 working mothers of two to six year old children attending employer sponsored child care centers. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, correlation analysis, and step-wise regression were used for data analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Full-time working mothers' child-rearing practices were influenced by the ages of mothers and fathers, parental education level and occupation, family income, age of the child, and number of children in the family. 2) The more working mothers perceived parenting efficacy, the more mothers utilized effective child-rearing practices. 3) Age of the child, maternal education level, mothers with levels of perceived parenting efficacy were significant predictors for full-time working mothers' child-rearing practices.

  • In this paper, the static overmodulation is proposed for the 2-phase full bridge inverter. The overmodulation strategy increases a fundamental output voltage and improves a voltage utilization up to the maximum in the overmodulation range. The linear modulation range and static overmodulation range are defined in the 2-phase full bridge inverter. The overmodulation strategies which increase a voltage utilization until the 4-step mode by linearization of the output voltage in overmodulation range are proposed. To maintain a linearity of the relation between a reference voltage and a fundamental output voltage, this paper suggests a compensation voltage, whose magnitude or phase is modified to the proposed control scheme. Simulation and experimentation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

  • The Equations of Chemical kinetics ate very stiff, which forces the use of an implicit scheme. The problem of implicit scheme, however, is that the jacobian must be solved at each time step. In this paper, we examined the approximate chemical jacobian methods such as Gauss-Seidel, Jacobi partial jacobian and diagonalized jacobian that can be stable without full jacobian, We show that Gauss-Seidel jacobian method is stable and accurate as well as full jacobian and that this is more efficient in supersonic combustion problem about $20\%$ than the full jacobian method with same accuracy,

  • The solar X-ray telescopes, the Yohkoh SXT and the Hinode XRT, have observed for a couple of decades a variety of coronal structures in the range of wide field-of-view (FOV) covering the full solar disk. It has been emphasized that the optical structure of solar telescopes should be designed with care for improving the uniformity over the full FOV. The vignetting effect is one of the important optical characteristics for describing the performance of a telescope, which reflects the ability of collecting the incoming light at different locations and different photon energies. The correction of this vignetting effect would be an important calibration step that should be performed in advance, especially when the observed images are to be used for photometric purposes. Since the vignetting effect of solar X-ray telescopes shows wavelength dependence, a special care should be taken when, for example, performing the temperature analyses with thin and thick filters for flaring activities observed at the periphery of the full FOV. The results of analysis of pre-launch calibration data for the evaluation of vignetting effect will be introduced in detail.

Equal Gain Block Decomposition Methods for Multiuser MIMO Networks

  • In this paper, we propose a new joint precoder and postcoder design strategy to support multiple streams per user in multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. We propose two step precoding strategies using equal channel gain decomposition and block diagonalization at the transmitter. With the proposed precoder, the multiuser MIMO channel can be decomposed into multiple parallel channels with equal channel gain per user. After applying receive postcoder which is generated and sent by the transmitter, we can use ML based decoder per stream to achieve full receive diversity. Achievable sum rate bound and diversity performance of the proposed algorithm are presented with feedback signaling design and quantitative complexity analysis. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm asymptotically approaches to the sum rate capacity of the MIMO broadcast channel while maintaining full diversity order.

  • This paper proposes an active-clamp ac-dc converter with direct power conversion that has a simple structure and achieves high efficiency. The proposed converter is derived by integrating the step-down ac chopper and the output-voltage doubler. The proposed converter provides direct ac-dc conversion and dc output voltage without using any full-bridge diode rectifier. The step-down ac chopper using an active-clamp mechanism serves to clamp the voltage spike across the main switches and provides zero-voltage turn-on switching. The resonant-current path formed by the leakage inductance of the transformer and the resonant capacitor of the output-voltage doubler achieves the zero-current turn-off switching of the output diodes. The operation principle of the converter is analyzed and verified. A 500W prototype is implemented to show the performance of the proposed converter. The prototype provides maximum efficiency of 95.1% at the full load.

A Study on the Characteristics of Two-Step-Flow-Control Fluidic Device (2단 유량제어 Fluidic Device의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Vortex type Fluidic Device(FD) which is installed at the bottom of Safety Injection Tank(SIT) controls the discharge flow rate from the tank. In case of loss of coolant accident the injection water flows into primary system in two steps; initial high flow rate for certain period of time and subsequent low flow rate. By two-step control of the discharge flow rate, FD can ensure the effective use of water in the tank. A small-scale FD has been tested to obtain a required flow characteristics maintaining full pressure and height of prototype, which are the major contributing parameters. Through the testing of many different arrangements of internal geometry of FD, most appropriate one was selected and its performance data was obtained. As characteristics of FD, time dependent Euler number, flow rate and pressure are presented and discussed. Also a method to predict the full size FD is presented.
