According to increasing dependancy of national competitiveness on her level of science and technology, the Korean Government devote herself to expansion of technological capability in nation-wide. As a result, the numbers and sizes of national R&D programs, one of public technology policies, are abruptly increased. Recently, the government closely examines the introduction of performance-based budgeting regime as well as the accountability issue in public sector. In the fulfillment of accountability, it has considerable importance that the government executes measurement and strategic management of their performances of all the national R&D programs, how they are properly executed in conformity with respective missions and characteristics. It needs a tool for clearly measuring the programs' performances. In this study, the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is suggested as an alternative. However, the logics of ordinary BSC cannot be directly applied to the program unit. This study reviews the basic concept and principles of BSC and discusses the necessary conditions for proper application of BSC into national R&D programs.

This study is designed to find out the role performance problems, especially concerning the difference between the employed wives and housewives. The data were obtained from the questionnaire with 25 items collected form 541 wives-266 employed wives and 275 housewives. The t-test and F-test were applied and the results are as follows: 1. There is no significant difference in their role perception between the employed wives and the housewives. respondents think mother role is the most important and social role the least. 2. Employed wives' self evaluation of role performance level is significantly lower than housewives'. Generally, self evaluation level is very low on every role area, especially mother role. 3. Role performance fulfillment level of employe wives is significantly lower than that of housewives. All the areas of their role are less fulfilled, especially employed wives' mother role.

The purpose of this research was to examine variables contributing to the father's role performance. The study has been designed to measure the quantitative(i.e. amount of involvement) and the qualitative(i.e. depth of affection/care) values in their modes of child-rearing practices by taking a clouter look at the father's views on their careers and on offspring. Subjects were 516 fathers of school-age children. Analyzing the factors that determine the quantitative and qualitative aspects of child-rearing practices by the fathers, the sense of fulfillment/value in life is the decisive factor behind the affection(i.e. qualitative) in the child-rearing practices. The resets indicated that the father's perceptions on their careers and on their children constitute the critical factors behind the qualitative and quantitative aspects of child-rearing practices, albeit holding such factors as the parents'working hour or as mothers with outside jobs under control.

This study attempted to explore the parents' parental satisfaction in Korea. Subjects who were selected nationwidely consisted of 1237 parents with children of the kindergarten and primary school. Parental Satisfaction Scale was used to examine the related variables pertaining to parental satisfaction. The results yielded the following conclusions; 1) The period of the transition to parenthood was too short. The mean interval between marriage and first child birth was 14.4 months. 2) Whereas fathers experienced greater parental role fulfillment than mother did mothers' employment status was not correlated with parental satisfaction. 3) Number and gender of the child and parent's educational attainment were related to parental satisfaction. However age at parental onset was not found as the related variable.

In this paper, we present a systematic approach to translating BPML(Business Process Modeling Language) into the ${\pi}-Calculus$. BPML is an executable business process modeling language, like BPEL4WS(Business Process Execution Language for Web Services). It is difficult to find a systematic approach to formalizing these languages; but, by formalizing them, the behavior of the processes can be analyzed and compared so that optimal processes can be designed. For this formalization, we analyzed the activity types and contexts of BPML and suggested the definitions of semantics for each type and context by using the ${\pi}-Calculus$. In addition, we have shown the usefulness of our formalization scheme in that a typical order fulfillment process represented in BPML can be translated into the ${\pi}-Calculus$.

In this study, we used a 16-bit microprocessor, 80C196KC for a control part in order to develop a multi-functional wheel-chair system, and implemented a joy-stick to control this system. For the complete system, we used a commercial electromotive wheelchair as a basic plant, and applied an encoder to get the rotating number of the motor to transfer data to the MCU to control the motor. We used PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) method to control the wheel-chair motor where a H-bridge circuit was configured. We used the fuzzy control algorithm for the operation of DC motor, which was attached to the electromotive wheelchair and manipulated following the change of the joystick position while a user was controlling the joystick. He also could control the speed and direction of DC motor as well as control position information.

본 연구에서는 기업의 연구개발 의사결정을 위한 정보 도출을 위한 연구방법론을 설정하고, 한국가스공사의 연구개발 부문을 대상으로 기술 그룹별 연구개발 니드, 기술 파급도, 기술스톡을 추정하여, 연구개발 투자의 적정성을 평가하고자 하였다 연구개발 투자 평가 결과, 한국가스공사의 연구개발 투자는 설비 보수 및 운영 부문에 집중되어 있으며, 비교적 기술 파급도가 높고 연구개발 니드 충족도가 큰 연구과제의 기술스톡 수준이 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

In a study, the selection of a relevant methodology cannot be determined without an effort First of all, the philosophical view or understanding of the nature of a study area will be agreed, based on which a series of judgment will be performed on a process identifying a foundation or a validity of a knowledge. The findings are as follows. First, it analyzed the trend of food serviceㆍculinary art-related studies by subject and examined its awareness. The most studies are related to trend analysisㆍfood service, 104 papers, following by financial and strategic fulfillment, 76 papers. Service quality and customer-related studies are 38, individual and organization-related studies are 31 papers, education training 18 papers, while legal review are only 2 papers. Second, for trend analysis and awareness on study methodology, research study is at the first, 39%, following by literature study, 38.7%. Most studies are performed research and literature studies together.

The Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector System, which is with the object of establishment of an autonomic and collaborative industrial accident prevent system, comes into force on 1995 through the administration provision of the Ministry of Labor, one year after it had legal basis. The purpose of this study is to put forward revitalization of the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector System by using the survey(2005.05) of the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector in the manufacturing industry. It can be summarized to develop the system as the following: 1) Obligation to the appointment of the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector and the Extension to be appointed workplace, 2) Cooperation of the Safety/Health Manager with the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector, 3) Grant the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector to make the round of the workplaces for the providing guidance to workers, 4) Employers' fulfillment of the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector's recommendations, 5) Guarantee the Honorary Industrial Safety Inspector instructions and its hours.
