In this letter, a new dual-port Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna is introduced which has two independent signal feeding ports in a single antenna element to achieve smaller antenna volumes for the 5G mobile applications. The dual-port structure is implemented by adding a cross coupled semi-loop (CCSL) antenna as the secondary radiator to the ground short of inverted-F antenna (IFA). It is found that the port to port isolation is not deteriorated when an IFA and CCSL is combined to form a dual-port structure. The isolation property of the proposed antenna is compared with a polarization diversity based dual-port antenna proposed in the literature [9]. The operating frequency range is 3.3-4.0 GHz which is suitable for places where $4{\times}4$ MIMO systems are supposed to be deployed such as in China, EU, Korea and Japan at the band ${\times}$ (3.3 - 3.8GHz. The measured 6-dB impedance bandwidths of the proposed antennas are larger than 700 MHz with isolation between the feeding ports higher than 18 dB [1-2]. The simulation and measurement results show that the proposed antenna concept is a very promising alternative for 5G mobile applications.

The Objective of this work was to design Composite Antenna Structures (CAS) and investigate impact behavior of CAS which was various curvature. This term, CAS, indicates that structural surface becomes antenna. Constituent materials were selected considering electrical properties, dielectric constants and tangent loss as well as mechanical properties. For the antenna performance, microstrip antenna layers inserted into structural layers were designed for satellite communication at the resonant frequency of 12.5 GHz and final demonstration article was. After making five kinds of curved CAS, which radii of curvature are flat, 200, 150, 100, 50 mm. The antenna performance changed in accordance with variation of curvature. The Reflection coefficient was independent of curvature but the gain decreased with the radius of curvature. The impact test equipment was Dyna-8250 drop weight tester. The impact characteristic in accordance with curvature is maximum absorb energy is same each other. The impact energy was 8.5 J. For various Impact energy test, five energy levels 3 J, 5 J, 7 J, 10 J, 20 J were used. The performance of impact damaged antenna was estimated by measuring the return loss and the radiation pattern. It was revealed that the performance of antenna was not related to the impact damage. Because the impactor did not damage the patch directly. CAS have good impact stability for the antenna performance.

This paper presents a novel miniaturized 3-D cubic antenna for use in wireless sensor network (WSN) application. The geometry of this antenna is designed as a cube including a meander dipole antenna. A truly omnidirectional pattern is produced by this antenna in both E-plane and H-plane, which allows for non-intermittent communication that is orientation independent. The operating frequency lies in the ISM band (centered in 2.45 GHz). The dimensions of this ultra-compact cubic antenna are 1.25*1.12*1cm3 which features a length dimension λ/11. The coefficient which presents the overall antenna structure is Ka=0.44. The cubic shape of the antenna is allowing for smart packaging, as sensor equipment may be easily integrated into the cube hallow interior. The major constraint of WSN is the energy consumption. The power consumption of radio communication unit is relatively high. So it is necessary to design an antenna which improves the energy efficiency. The parameters considered in this work are the resonant frequency, return loss, efficiency, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain and the electromagnetic field of the proposed antenna. The specificity of this geometry is that its size is relatively small with an excellent gain and efficiency compared to previously structures (reported in the literature). All results of the simulations were performed by CST Microwave Studio simulation software and validated with HFSS. We used Advanced Design System (ADS) to validate the equivalent scheme of our conception. Input here the part of summary.

This paper implements SCM(Spatial Channel Model), a kind of ray-tracing method which has characteristics similar to realistic wave propagation environments, for link-level performance analysis of OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) based multiple antenna systems. The SCM is proposed by 3GPP & 3GPP2 Spatial Channel AHG(Ad-hoc Group) for system-level performance validation. In this paper, we modify the system level parameters and channel coefficient of SCM to compare the link-level performances of OFDM based multiple antenna systems. Through computer simulations, we manifest the implemented SCM channel characteristics. We analyze a realistic link-level performance of OFDM based conventional MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system and smart antenna system in the implemented channel. We also include the link-level performance of OFDM based multiple antenna systems in I-METRA(Intelligent Multi Element Transmit and Receive Antenna) and independent channel environments with the same system parameters. We suggest appropriate multiple antenna system in the given environment by comparing the link-level performance in the spatial channels that have different channel correlation values.

This paper describes a design of a miniature patch antenna and its 4-channle array for 5.25 GHz wireless LAN band. Each patch element is designed for the low mutual coupling between each element and for the small size of the array antenna. The size of the each element is $7 mm{\times}14.5 mm{\times}5.6 mm$ and it satisfy IEEE 802.11a frequency band. It is arrayed for independent 4-channel operation. The total size of the array antenna is $35.6 mm{\times}52.5 mm{\times}5.6 mm$. The measured reflection coefficients and the radiation patterns of the fabricated antennas show the reasonable agreements with prediction.

This paper proposed a 2 stages 2-arm sinuous antenna that operates in frequency range 0.8-6GHz. The proposed antenna's total radius is 60mm, in which 1st stage's radius is 50mm which is designed as self-complementary structure(cell's angle width $90^{\circ}$) with 8 cell, and 2nd stage is composed of non-self-complementary structure with 0.5 cell of cell's angle width $720^{\circ}$ in the radius width 10mm. Measurement's result shows that -10dB return loss starts at 0.807GHz, but 1 stage 2-arm sinuous antenna that use the same radius starts at about 0.878GHz, so proposed the possibility of the miniaturization of the sinuous antenna.

In this paper, an experimental investigation for return loss and a software-based prediction for interference level of single-packaged filtering antenna composed of dielectric waveguide filter and PCB(Printed Circuit Board) slot antenna in transceiver module have been carried out with several different feeding structures in millimeter-wave regime. The implementation and embedding method of the existing air-filled waveguide filters working at millimeter-wave frequency on general PCB substrate have been described. In a view of the implementation of each components, the dielectric waveguide embedded in PCB and LTCC(Low Temparature Co-fired Ceramic) substrates has employed the via fences as a replacement with side walls and common ground plane to prevent energy leakage. The characteristics of several prototypes of filtering antenna embedded in PCB substrate are considered by comparing the wideband and transmission characteristics as a function of bent angle of transmission line connecting two components. In addition, as an essential to the packaging of transceiver module working at millimeter-wave, miniaturization technology maintaining the performances of independent components and the important problems caused by integrating and connecting the different components in different layers are described in this paper.

This paper proposes a simulation design for feeding probe with the CMM(Cylindrical Magneto Material) structure for broad bandwidth of a dipole type antenna. In order to ensure low frequency bandwidth, the magnetic material with high relative permeability was considered in design calculation. It was confirmed that the broad bandwidth was independent on the relative permeability value and depended on the control of distance($r_m$) between magnetic material and feeding probe, and of magnetic material thickness($t_m$). Furthermore, an antenna size with the CMM was miniaturized about 18 % comparison with its size without the CMM.
This paper proposes a common interleaving method associated with independent channel-encoding among transmitter antenna branches in orthogonal frequency and code division multiplexing based on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multiplexing to achieve an extremely high throughput such as 1 Gbps using a 100 MHz bandwidth. This paper also investigates the average packet error rate performance as a function of the average received signal energy per bit-to-background noise power spectrum density ratio $(E_b/N_0)$. We found that the loss in the required average received $E_b/N_0$ of the proposed method is only within approximately 0.3 dB in up to a 12-path Rayleigh fading channel, using 16QAM and Turbo coding with a coding rate of 5/6. We also clarify that even for a large fading correlation among antenna branches, 1 Gbps is still possible by increasing the transmission power. Therefore, the proposed method reduces the processing rate to 1/4 in the turbo decoder with only a slight loss in the required average received $E_b/N_0$.
This paper presents a structure of the searcher using the space diversity in array antenna system operating in the DS/CDMA signal environments. The new technique exploits the fact that the In-phase and Quadrature components of interferers can respectively be viewed as independent Gaussian noise at each antenna element in most practical CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) signal environments. The proposed PN acquisition scheme is a single dwell serial PN acquisition system consisting of two stage, that is, the searching stage and the verification stage. The searching stage correlates the received signals with the local PN oscilator for obtaining the synchronous energy at the entire uncertainty region. The verification stage compares the searching energy with the optimal threshold, which is pre-designed in the Lock-Detector, and decides whether the acquisition is successful or fail. In this paper, we analyzed the relationship of both diversity order and the mean acquisition time. In general, It is known that the mean acquisition time decreases significantly as the number of antenna elements increases. But, the enhancement of the performance is saturated in terms of PN acquisition scheme. Therefore, to decrease the mean acquisition time, we must design the optimal array antenna system by considering the operating SNR range of the receiver, the detection probability, and the false alarm probability. The performance of the proposed acquisition scheme is analyzed in frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels. In this paper, the effect of the number of antenna elements on acquisition scheme is considered in terms of the detection probability, false alarm probability. and the mean acquisition time.
