  • 본 논문은 퍼지를 이용한 디지탈식 제어기를 고주파 유도 가열기의 전력 조절을 위해 IGBT를 사용한 위상 전이(Phase-Shift) 펄스폭 변조(PWM)와 펄스 주파수 변조(PFM)가 조절되는 공진 고주파 인버터를 응용한 유도가열기를 설명한다. 이는 실제로 산업 현장에서 20/$_{KHZ}$~500$_{KHZ}$ 유도 가열 및 유도 용해 전원 장치용으로 쓰인다. 위상 전이(Phase-Shift) PWM 정전력 조절 기술을 바탕으로한 적응 주파수 추종 기법은 스위칭 손실을 최소화하고 전력조절을 용이하게 하기 위해 소개 되어 졌다. IGBT를 사용하여 실험적으로 만들어진 실험장치는 성공적으로 논증과 토의가 되어졌다.어졌다.

Analysis of a Harmonics Neutralized 48-Pulse STATCOM with GTO Based Voltage Source Converters

  • Multi-pulse topology of converters using elementary six-pulse GTO - VSC (gate turn off based voltage source converter) operated under fundamental frequency switching (FFS) control is widely adopted in high power rating static synchronous compensators (STATCOM). Practically, a 48-pulse ($6{\times}8$ pulse) configuration is used with the phase angle control algorithm employing proportional and integral (PI) control methodology. These kinds of controllers, for example the ${\pm}80MVAR$ compensator at Inuyama switching station, KEPCO, Japan, employs two stages of magnetics viz. intermediate transformers (as many as VSCs) and a main coupling transformer to minimize harmonics distortion in the line and to achieve a desired operational efficiency. The magnetic circuit needs altogether nine transformers of which eight are phase shifting transformers (PST) used in the intermediate stage, each rating equal to or more than one eighth of the compensator rating, and the other one is the main coupling transformer having a power rating equal to that of the compensator. In this paper, a two-level 48-pulse ${\pm}100MVAR$ STATCOM is proposed where eight, six-pulse GTO-VSC are employed and magnetics is simplified to single-stage using four transformers of which three are PSTs and the other is a normal transformer. Thus, it reduces the magnetics to half of the value needed in the commercially available compensator. By adopting the simple PI-controllers, the model is simulated in a MATLAB environment by SimPowerSystems toolbox for voltage regulation in the transmission system. The simulation results show that the THD levels in line voltage and current are well below the limiting values specified in the IEEE Std 519-1992 for harmonic control in electrical power systems. The controller performance is observed reasonably well during capacitive and inductive modes of operation.

  • The advantages of using analogue optical networks for delivering radio signals from a central location to many remote antenna sites have been recognized. In a telecommnications context, radio signals may be for fixed radio access, cordless or mobile networks, but the same principles apply. By making use of the high bandwidth, low loss characteristics of optical fiber, all high frequency and signal processing functions can be performed centrally and signals can then be transported over the optical network directly at the carrier frequency. The remote sites then become very simple, requiring only optoelectronic conversion, filtering and linear amplification. This shifting of the complex functionality away from the remote site allow cheap, reliable, small and light-weight radio access points with low power consumption to be deployed. In this paper, we show that an electroabsorption modulation(EAM) may be used as a single component in such a radio access point, as a passive transceiver for small-sized cell(picocells).

  • This paper introduces a new algorithm of pulse generation and detection for UWB communication system. The existing UWB systems using Gaussian pulse have some difficulties to cope with bandwidth limitation and frequency transition. Moreover. the system sensitivity to channel noise has made the processes of acquisition and tacking difficult. in this paper, we introduce a new pulse generation method which is able to control the bandwidth and center frequency applying modulation method. thus could improve the detection performance of receiving algorithm. Also, we made a system to search maximum perk by applying the proposed algorithm and consequently could guarantee the correct detection. By the result of simulation, when accumulate 10 times at every 2dB band shifting from 0 to 18dB on AWGN channel, we could confirm the proposed method has 97.4% PDR(Pulse Detection Rate) and 1.868% FAR(False Alarm Rate) performance at 4dB SNR and 15% transmission power threshold level.

Super-RENS 디스크의 노이즈 특성 향상 (Improvement of Noise Characteristics in Super-RENS Disc)

  • The research topic of super-RENS technology is shifting from the signal intensity (CNR; Carrier to Noise Ratio) to the signal uniformity (Jitter or bER). To achieve an uniform signal characteristics, it is important to reduce signal fluctuation in a super-RENS disc. In this study, we investigated the relation between signal fluctuation and low frequency noise (LFN), and analyzed LFN increase in recording and readout processes. It was found that signal fluctuation had a close relationship with the LFN. Also, it was found that the recorded mark shape such a bubble type and high readout power increased the LFN in recording and readout process of a super-RENS disc. So, using non-bubble type recording material and low super-resolution readout material, we markedly improved the LFN in a super-RENS disc.

Dielectric Relaxation of Siloxane-Epoxy Copolymers

  • The dielectric responses of 10 and 40 wt% siloxane-epoxy copolymers were investigated in temperature range near the glass transition of polydimethylsiloxane at which the dielectric transitions were also observed. On the other hand, the pure epoxy did not show any dielectric transition in measurement temperature range -90 to 150 $^{\circ}C.$ The experimental data showed that for the copolymer investigated, the temperature-frequency super-position principle could be applied to the dielectric response. From the Cole-Cole equation, the dielectric relaxation of the 10 wt% siloxane near the glass transition temperature resulted in a broad distribution with ${\beta}=$ 0.19 and the relaxation time at -70 $^{\circ}C$ was 5.3 ${\times}$ $10^{-2}$s. The glass transition temperature, 188 K, was estimated by using WLF relation, which was consistent with the data presented in experiment.

Prediction of Noise & Vibration Effect of Agricultural Tractor Transmission at Design Stage

  • At design stage of the TRXI agricultural tractor transmission (New product of TongYang Moolsan Co., Ltd), the noise and vibration of the transmission were analyzed theoretically for the optimal design of the transmission . For this analysis, the finite element model was developed using a commercial computer software, ANSYS. The noise and vibration of the TRXI transmission housing were predicted by the modal analysis. Natural frequency of the TRXI transmission housing was ranged from 12.53Hz(1st mode ) to 30.05Hz(5th mode). The fifth mode took place at the bearing metal in the area of rear transmission housing and was very close to the gear mesh frequency (30.5Hz) of low rang gear at the low creep shifting . Based on the results , the bearing metal of the range shift housing was reenforced with the rib at design stage.

승용차 타이어의 진동 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the vibration characteristics of pssenger car radial tire)

  • The vibration characteristics of radial tire are studied. In order to obtain theoretical natural frequency and mode shape, the plane vibration of a tire is modeled to that of circular beam. By using the Tielking method based on Hamilton's principle, theoretical results are determined by considering tension force due to tire inflation pressure, rotational velocity and tangential, radial stiffness. Modal parameters varying the inflation pressure are determined experimentally by using the transfer function method. Results show that material property and wear are parameter for shifting of natural frequency and damping.

Effects of Individualized Intensive Physical Therapy for a Child with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome: A Case Study

  • PURPOSE: High-intensity physical therapy may help improve some gross motor developmental delays through an increased treatment frequency. This study describes an increase in physical therapy frequency and intensity over an eight-week time frame for a child with a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder. METHODS: A single-subject research was performed. The subject was a nine-year-old boy with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome. The outcome measure consisted of one time before and after the intervention. An intensive physical therapy program was applied to this subject. The treatments included reciprocal crawling, high kneeling, tailor sitting, weight-bearing and shifting training to facilitate ankle balance strategies and training to walk without assistance. RESULTS: After the eight-week follow-up, the child achieved a gradual improvement in the gross motor function measures, and the mother reported that the child frequently engaged in tailor sitting and independently walking. CONCLUSION: This case study highlights that intensive physical therapy improved the overall motor function of a child with MECP2 duplication syndrome.
