다중 카메라를 이용한 3차원 개체 추적 시스템 (A 3D Object Tracking System Using a Multi-camera)

  • 본 시스템은 어항속에 있는 물고기 움직임을 추적하기 위해 두 대의 카메라로부터 동시에 독립된 영상을 획득하고 획득된 영상을 처리하여 좌표를 얻어내고 3차원 좌표로 생성해내는 시스템이다. 제안하는 방법은 크게 두 대의 카메라로부터 동시에 영상을 획득하는 방법과 획득된 영상에 대한 처리 및 물체 위치 검출, 그리고 3차원 좌표 생성으로 구성된다. Frame grabber를 사용하여 두 개의 카메라로부터 동시에 영상을 획득하며, 3개의 연속된 프레임에 대한 차영상과 ART2(Adaptive Resonance Theory)를 이용하여 각각의 영상에서의 물고기 위치를 검출한다. 검출된 각각의 좌표를 병합하여 3차원 좌표를 생성하며, 추적 결과는 OpenGL을 이용하여 3차원으로 재생한다.

MRI 영상획득 중의 피험자 움직임 감지 및 알림 시스템 (Head Motion Detection and Alarm System during MRI scanning)

  • 목적 : 자기공명영상(MRI) 획득시 피험자의 머리 움직임은 영상의 품질에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 영상 왜곡의 발생 원인이 되는 피험자의 움직임을 감지하기 위한 3차원 광학 추적 시스템을 제작하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 시스템은 두 대의 CCD 카메라 및 적외선 조명, 구형 반사 마커, 프레임 그래버(frame grabber)와 데스크탑 컴퓨터로 구성되었다. 두 대의 카메라를 이용하여 마커의 움직임을 관측하는 스테레오 비전 시스템을 제작하고, 카메라의 내부/외부 매개변수를 측정하는 캘리브레이션(calibration)과 측정된 매개변수를 이용하여 3차원 움직임 정보를 계산하는 삼각측량(triangulation)기법을 적용하였다. 캘리브레이션 보드와 피험자용 안경을 제작하여 움직임 추적의 정확도와 실제 MRI 영상 촬영 동안의 움직임 검출의 유효성을 평가하였다. 결과 : 반사 마커가 부착된 안경을 쓴 피험자들이 MRI 영상 촬영 동안 머리를 규칙적으로 움직였을 때, 시스템은 MRI의 고자장 환경 내에서도 영상에 영향을 주지 않고 피험자들의 움직임을 잘 감지했다. 결론 : 제작한 스테레오 비전 시스템은피험자의 머리 움직임을 잘 감지하였고, 실시간 알림 기능을 통해 피험자의 움직임을 중지할 수 있도록 알려줌으로써 MRI 영상에 영향을 주는 것을 최소화할 수 있다.

초음파 열화상 검사를 이용한 박판 용접시편의 결함 검출 (A Defect Detection of Thin Welded Plate using an Ultrasonic Infrared Imaging)

  • When a high-energy ultrasound propagates through a solid body that contains a crack or a delamination, the two faces of the defect do not ordinarily vibrate in unison, and dissipative phenomena such as friction, rubbing and clapping between the faces will convert some of the vibrational energy to heat. By combining this heating effect with infrared imaging, one can detect a subsurface defect in material efficiently. In this paper a detection of the welding defect of thin SUS 304 plates using the UIR (ultrasonic infrared imaging) technology is described. A low frequency (20kHz) ultrasonic transducer was used to infuse the welded thin SUS 304 plates with a short pulse of sound for 280ms. The ultrasonic source has a maximum power of 2kW. The surface temperature of the area under inspection is imaged by a thermal infrared camera that is coupled to a fast frame grabber in a computer. The hot spots, which are a small area around the defect tip and heated up highly, are observed. From the sequence of the thermosonic images, the location of defective or inhomogeneous regions in the welded thin SUS 304 plates can be detected easily.

  • A GA(Genetic Algorithm) based 3D-PTV technique has been developed. The measurement system consists of three CCD cameras, Ar-ion laser, an image grabber and a host computer. The fundamental of the developed technique was based on that one-to-one correspondence is found between two tracer particles selected at two different image frames taking advantage of combinatorial optimization of the genetic algorithm. The fitness function controlling reproductive success in the genetic algorithm was expressed by a kind of continuum theory on the sparsely distributed particles in space. In order to verify the capability of the constructed measurement system, a performance test was made using the LES data set of an impinging jet. The developed 3D-PTV system was applied to the measurement of flow characteristics of the wake of a circular cylinder.

백라이트 유닛의 결함 검사를 위한 비전 시스템 개발 (Development of Vision system for Back Light Unit of Defect)

  • In this thesis we designed the vision system to inspect the defect of a back light unit of plat panel display device. The vision system is divided into hardware and inspection algorithm of defect. Hardware components consist of illumination part, robot-arm controller part and image-acquisition part. Illumination part is made of acrylic panel for light diffusion and five 36W FPL's(Fluorescent Parallel Lamp) and electronic ballast with low frequency harmonics. The CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) camera of image-acquisition part is able to acquire the bright image by the light coming from lamp. The image-acquisition part is composed of CCD camera and frame grabber. The robot-arm controller part has a role to let the CCD camera move to the desired position. To take inspections of surface images of a flat panel display it can be controlled and located every nook and comer. Images obtained by robot-arm and image-acquisition board are saved on the hard-disk through windows programming and are tested whether there are defects by using the image processing algorithms.

  • There are many inductive loop detectors under the highways in Korea. Among the other detectors, some are image detectors. Almost all image detectors are focused one or two lane of the road and are measuring traffic information. This paper proposes to an algorithm for detecting traffic information automatically from CCTV camera images installed on the highway. The information which is counted in one lane or two contains some critical errors by occlusion frequently in case of passing larger vehicles. In this paper, we use a tracking algorithm in which the detection area include all lanes, then the traffic informations are collected from the vehicles individually using difference images in this detection area. This tracking algorithm is better than lane by lane detecting algorithm. The experiment have been conducted two different real road scenes for 20 minutes. For the experiments, the images are provided with CCTV camera which was installed at Kiheung Interchange upstream of Kyongbu highway, and video recording images at Chungkye Tunnel. For image processing, images captured by frame-grabber board 30 frames per second, 640${\times}$480 pixels resolution and 256 gray-levels to reduce the total amount of data to be Interpreted.

  • 저가의 CCTV유형 CCD카메라를 기반으로 하는 수치 근거리사진측량 시스템의 산업정밀측정의 수행능력을 평가하기 위하여 CCD카메라, 프레임그래버, 수치영상 측정 및 자체검정 광속조정 기법을 통합한 수치근거리 사진측량시스템이 구축되었다. 이 시스템의 적용실험을 위하여 정육면체 형상의 인공어초를 대상물로하여 다중지점 수렴 네트워크상에서 수치영상을 획득하였다. 자체검정 광속조정기법에 의해 CCD 카메라의 기하학적 검정과 동시에 대상물 전면에 대한 사진삼각측량을 수행하였다. 또한 이미 높은 정확도 잠재성이 입증된 고해상도 스틸비디오 카메라(Kodak DCS)를 유사한 네트워크 조건에서 이용하여 처리함으로써 서로 다른 유형의 카메라를 기반으로 하는 두 시스템의 사진삼각측량 결과의 정확도를 비교하였다.

공초점현미경과 원자현미경을 이용한 초정밀 가공된 시료 표면의 영상측정 (Analysis of a micro-processed sample surface using SCM and AFM)

  • Surface quality of a micro-processed sample with laser has been investigated by using of scanning confocal microscope(SCM) and atomic force microscope(AFM). Samples are bump electrodes and ITO glass of LCD module used in a mobile phone and a wafer surface scribed by UV laser. A image of $140\times120{\mu}m^2$ is obtained within 1 second by SCM because scan speed of a x-axis and y-axis are 1kHz and 1Hz, respectively. AFM is able to measure correctly hight and width of ITO and scribing depth and width of a wafer with a resolution less than 300 . However, the scan speed is slow and it is difficult to distinguish a surface composed of different nm kinds of materials. Results show that SCM is preferable to obtain a image of a sample composed of different kinds of material than AFM because the intensity of a reflected light from surface is different from each material.

시각센서를 이용한 축대칭 물체 측정 시스템 개발 (Development of a Measurement System for Axial-symmetric Objects Using Vision Sensor)

  • The dimension measurement problem of products has been a major concern in the quality control in the industrial fields. A non-contacting measurement system using the vision sensor is proposed in this paper. The system consists of a CCD camera for the image capture, a frame grabber for the acquired image processing, a laser unit for the illumination, scanning unit for the measurement, and a personal computer for the geometry computation. The slit beam which is generated by passing the laser beam through a cylin- drical lens is fired to the axial-symmetric object on the rotating plate. The image of objects reflected by the laser slit beam, acquired by the CCD camera, becomes much brighter than the other parts of objects. After the histogram of brightness for the captured image is calculated, low intensity pixels are filtered out by threshold method. The performance of proposed measurement system is obtained for several different axial symmetric objects. The proposed system is verified as a good tool for measuring axial-symmetric parts in a limited condition with a minor investment cost.

테이프 피더의 부품공급 정밀도 측정을 위한 검사 시스템 (An Inspection System for Measuring Feeding Accuracy of Tape Feeders)

  • A tape feeder of a SMD(Surface Mount Device) mounter is a device that sequentially feeds electronic components on a tape reel to the pick-up system of the mounter. As components are getting much smaller, feeding accuracy of a feeder becomes one of the most important factors for successful component pick-up. Therefore, it is critical to keep the feeding accuracy to a specified level in the assembly and production of tape feeders. This paper describes a tape feeder inspection system that was developed to automatically measure and inspect feeding accuracy using machine vision. It consists of a feeder base, an image acquisition system, and a personal computer. The image acquisition system is composed of CCD cameras with lens, LED illumination systems, and a frame grabber inside the PC. This system loads up to six feeders at a time and inspects them automatically and sequentially. The inspection software was implemented using Visual C++on Windows NT with easily usable GUI. Using this system, we can automatically measure and inspect the quality of all feeders in production process by analyzing the measurement results statistically.
