XML을 이용한 곡면 가공 시스템의 정보 구조화에 관한 연구 (An Application of XML Based Manufacturing Information for Forming Shop)

  • As the automation of ship production system proliferates, it is unavoidable to move the real machinery, facility, application software, and virtual environment from the heterogeneous data environment to the integrated one. However, it is a prevailing situation that each component operates under the different environment, due to the inability of interchanging the data in a structured manner between the components. The issue is obstacles to improvement of the application system. To facilitate seamless exchange of data among the manufacturing systems, STEP, PDML, and XML has been tried by other studies. This study has investigated how XML data can be applied to exchange the data among the ship production system components. XML data is applied to the forming shop in shipyard to overcome the present difficulties on sharing and exchanging of the information. An example of forming information is represented by XML to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach. In addition, an application of XML information applicable to virtual factory and electronic work order sheet is included.

  • CAMPfonn2D is a Finite Element Method (FEM) based process simulation system designed to analyze two dimensional (2D) flow of various metal forming processes. It enables designers to analyze metal forming processes on the computer rather than the shop floor using trial and error and provides vital information about material and thermal flow during the forming process to facilitate the design of products. CAMPfonn2D can be used by companies, research institutes and industrial applications to analyze forging, extrusion, drawing, heading, upsetting and many other metal forming processes. Also, process simulation using CAMPfonn2D can be instrumental in cost, quality and delivery improvements at leading companies. Today's competitive pressures require companies to take advantage of every tool for rapid manufacturing of well-designed product. So, the preprocessor of simulation program must be easy to use to speed-up design. In this paper, we introduce new version of Preprocessor and show how easy to use it. And, Preprocessor will prove itself to be easy and extremely effective.

  • 오늘날 세계는 글로벌, 디지털 시대를 향해 눈부신 변화를 거듭하고 있으며 제조업 기반의 기업은 이러한 변화에 대응하기 위하여 새로운 경영기법과 생산시스템을 도입하고자 노력하고 있다. 그러나 기업이 빠른 변화에 대응하기 위해 제조시스템에 대한 명확한 분석도 없이 새로운 기술만 적용한다면 실패는 필연적으로 존재하게 된다. 그러므로 기업은 제조 시스템에 대한 명확한 분석이 필요하고, 공정개선에 대한 위험성을 줄이는 새로운 방법이 필요하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 공장 시스템의 공정개선에 대한 새로운 접근 방법인 시스템 접근 방법을 시스템 분석, 시스템 진단, 시스템 검증으로 체계화하여 제시하고자 한다. 시스템 분석은 객체지향 분석법인 UML로 시스템의 제품(Product), 자원(Resource)과, 공정(Process)관점에서 시스템을 분석한다. 시스템 진단은 제약이론(Theory of constraints)으로 시스템 향상을 위한 핵심요인을 확인한다. 시스템 검증은 가상 생산 기술(Virtual Manufacturing Technique)을 적용하여 핵심 제약요인에 대한 해결 방안을 제시한다. 위와 같은 방법론을 조선소 가공공장에 적용하여 생산성 향상을 위한 새로운 대안들을 제공한다. 가공공장에서 UML 모델은 가공공장에 대한 명확한 분석방법과 외부환경에 쉽게 적응하기 위한 재사용성을 나타내고, 제약이론의 논리나무(logical tree)는 가공공장을 최적하기위한 논리적 도구를 제공하며. 이산 사건 시뮬레이터-QUEST는 최적화된 가공공장을 검증하는 의사결정 도구를 제공한다.

Anticorit Prelube oils for sheet metal forming Lubricity joined to corrosion protection for steel mill and automotive press shop application

  • The pressing of car body parts is one of the most important sheet metal drawing processes. The corrosion protection oil applied by the steel mills plays a part in every sheet metal forming operation and also makes up the largest proportion of lubricants used. The idea to combine the corrosion protection properties of a corrosion preventive oil with the lubricity of a drawing oil lead to the development of the Anticorit prelubes. Applied at the finishing lines of the steel mills, they finally serve as lubricant in the press shops. A prerequisite for the suitability of a prelube-type oil is the absolute compatibility with all single processes from the coil to the Body in White. The use of prelubes in steel mills reduces the number and quantity of spot lubricants for additional press shop oiling dramatically. But their true benefits can only be fully achieved if the compatibility principle is applied throughout the manufacturing chain. Therefore, modem prelubes systems are modular, even different viscosities can be part of the same concept. This results in a far-reaching multifunctionality of the Anticorit prelube system for all applications.

안경원 브랜드의 디자인아이덴티티에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Identity of Optical Shop Brands)

  • 목적: 안경원 브랜드의 디자인아이덴티티 시각 요소들의 분석을 통해 안경원의 브랜드 디자인 개발에 필요한 객관적인 자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 방법: 안경원의 브랜드 디자인아이덴티티 개념을 살펴보고 국내 프랜차이즈 안경원의 상징물, 심벌마크의 형태와 로고타입의 표현 스타일, 색상 활용도, 캐릭터 사용 여부 등을 중심으로 브랜드 디자인아이덴티티의 시각 요소들을 분석하였다. 결과: 안경과 눈, 얼굴과 홍채 같은 안경과 관련된 직접적인 상징물이 많았고 글자와 도형도 나타났다. 심벌 유형으로는 대부분이 구상형과 워드마크 형태의 디자인이 많았고 워드마크형에는 국문보다 영문이 많이 사용되었다. 로고타입 형식은 고딕체 형식이 주류를 이루었고 획의 굵기는 보통과 두꺼운 볼드체가 고루 사용되는 것으로 나타났다. 안경원 브랜드 디자인에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 색상 도수는 2도 조합 사용이 대부분이었고 색상 사용 빈도로는 검정과 빨강이 많았는데 심벌이나 로고타입의 전용 색상에는 검정과 함께 주황도 많이 나타났다. 캐릭터는 일부 안경원에서만 사용하고 있고 대부분 동물 소재로 표현은 만화와 그래픽 형식이었다. 결론: 상징물, 심벌마크와 로고타입, 색상, 캐릭터는 브랜드 디자인아이덴티티 기본 개발 시스템이다. 안경원 브랜드의 중요한 시각적 구성요소로 상호간 일관성이 있으면서 기능과 역할을 분명히 할 수 있는 체계적인 디자인이 되어야 한다.

  • The production process of the compound-curved hull plates includes hull design, definition, fairing, modeling, lofting, cutting, and forming in sequence. Traditional fabrication methods and shop environment caused low level to productivity in medium and small sized shipyards. The most effective solution to solve those problems is to rationalize the layout of facilities. For the well-balanced development of domestic shipbuilding industry, it is urgently required to reduce the gap between modernized large sized shipyards and traditional small and medium sized shipyards in production technologies and efficiencies. For the efficient and accurate hull piece forming, all information from design to forming should be clarified and organized in a systematic manner. Thus, management of the information plays an important role in the computerized and automated of hull piece forming. The object of this paper is to survey the status of the field, to find out the feasibility and to introduce a draft of hull piece fabrication line for small and medium sized shipyards. The development of required system follows the object oriented technology to extend to simulation based system for carrying out physical product flow and facilities layout analysis. It is feasible to operate such a modernized facility for a group of small and medium shipyards who are unable to have each of their own facility because of its large amount of initial investment and insufficient work load.

차량용 열차단판의 면품질 개선을 위한 성형해석 기반 금형면 설계 (Analysis-based Die Face Design for the Improvement of Surface Quality for a Heat Protect Panel of an Automobile)

  • This paper concerns the die face design for a heat protect panel aided by the finite element forming analysis in order to eliminate the surface defect and to improve the surface quality. The CAE procedure of the stamping process is introduced in order to reveal the reason of surface inferiorities and to improve surface quality. Complicated shape of the product induces the surface inferiorities such as wrinkling due to the insufficient restraining force of the forming blank and the non-uniform contact of the blank with the tools. This paper proposes a new guideline for the die design which includes the modification of tool shapes and addition of the draw-beads on the tool surface for ensuring the increased the restraining force with the uniform contact condition. The effectiveness of the proposed design is verified by the forming analysis and is confirmed by the tryout operation in the press shop. The analysis and test results show that the modified process parameters such as tool shapes and draw-beads can reduce the tendency of wrinkling and improve surface quality.

  • In order to improve productivity and efficiency of ship production process, production technology converged with Information Technology can be considered. Mid-term scheduling based on long-term schedule of ship building and execution planning based on short-term production schedule have an important role in ship production processes and techniques. However, data used in the scheduling are from the experiences of the past, cognitive, and often inaccurate, moreover the updates of the data by formatted documents are not being performed efficiently. This paper designs the tracking and monitoring system for the curved plates forming process with shop level. At first step to it, we redefine and analyze the curved plates forming process by using SysML. From the definition and analysis of the curved plates forming process, we design the system with respect to operational view considering operational environment and interactions between systems included and scenario about operation, and with respect to system view considering functionalities and interfaces of the system. In order to study the feasibility of the system designed, a prototype of the system has been implemented with 13.56 MHz RHD hardware and application software.

일괄 풀림처리된 강판의 예비 변형정도에 따른 소열경화 특성 (Bake hardenability of batch annealed steel sheets with prestrain)

  • Bake hardenability of batch annealed steel sheets is investigated in connection with the amount of tensile deformation and the bake hardening condition. This study associates with the method for producing bake hardening materials by means of batch annealing process and for measuring bake hardenability which is not yet fully established. The experimental result demonstrates the relationship between strain distribution and bake hardening behavior in various bake hardening conditions, which provides an essential information for automobile design and related sheet metal forming in a press shop. The result also shows the bake hardenability of the tested material increases as the baking temperature is increased from 150.deg. C. The result assures the bake hardening materials can guarantee reasonably high strength as well as good uniformity in yield strength for the automobile body by sheet metal forming process.
