The bicycle is one of the most important eco-friendly transport methods which can mitigate global warming. The portability of a bike on public transportation systems is essential for the wide spread use of bicycles by people in urban environments. In this study, a lightweight urban folding bike was developed with careful consideration of the association with public transport. A folding frame using a moving slide link mechanism made from AL6061 is proposed. Numerical analysis was conducted to evaluate structural safety of the bike in both vertical and pedal loading tests. The proposed urban folding bicycle weights only 10kg and summation of its width, length, and height in the folded configuration is under 158cm.

인간은 도구를 만드는 동물인 동시에 이동을 하면서 사회적 생활을 영위하는 동물이다. 인류는 초기, 도보중심으로 이동이 이루어졌기 때문에 그 생활활동 범위도 좁았었다. 그러나 인류는 여러가지 이동의 도구를 만들어 생활권을 확대시켜 나갔다. 그중 보다 빠르고, 보다 멀리, 대량의 사람이나 화물 을 이동시키기 위해 바퀴를 발명하게 되었다. 그래서 수레가 출현하게 되었고 그 후 발전을 거듭하여 오늘날의 자전거가 만들어지게 되었다. 최근에는 과학기술의 급속한 발전과 생산기술의 고도화로 산업의 발전은 물론, 경제성장도 급속히 향상되고 국민의 소득증대도 향상되었다. 이에 따라 여가시간의 활용빈 도도 많아지고 건강증진을 위한 레저나 스포츠용품에 대한 관심과 수요가 급증하게 되었다. 그중 자전거는 레저 스포츠로서 즐길 뿐만 아니라, 건강증진으로서 비만증, 성인병의 예방, 지구력, 폐활량 증대 및 인내심 을 길러준다. 또한 현재 대도시가 안고 있는 교통체증 문제, 환경오염, 에너지절약 측면에서도 자전거는 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 이러한 시대의 상황 속에서 자전거 선호도도 Casual style에서 Seports style로의 변화를 가져오고 더욱 더 고급화, 개성화, 다양화의 모델이 요구되고 있다. 이에 따라 새로운 고객층을 위한 풍요로움과 건전한 건강생활문화를 창출하고 새로운 고부가가치 상품의 연구로 제품의 경쟁력 을 높여 수출을 증대시킬 수 있는 데 목적을 두었다.

Bicycle riders complain of many inconveniences when wearing glasses, sunglasses and masks. The disposable fine dust mask has been developed to resolve such inconveniences of bicycle riders. The scope of research is limited to the fiber which generates one-time static electricity and the shape of the mask due to the characteristic of fine dust mask. The purpose is to design and make the fine dust mask with a simple production process. The new disposable fine dust mask has secured enough space of the mask in front of the mouth by longitudinal folding and minimized stuffiness by maintaining the shape of the folded part to prevent touching the mouth even by heavy breathing. The streamlined sponge is attached at the part of nose support and the area of the cheek has been expanded to be about 2.5cm wider than ordinary masks to improve tight seal at the side. In addition, a new disposable fine dust scarf mask has been developed to block ultraviolet rays for the face and neck while filtering fine dust with the tight fine dust mask.
