The scheelite occurred in Sang Dong mine are disseminated with a fine grain, and shelved pale blue or white color under the fluorescence. But among them, We can often observe the yellow fluorescent color mineral grains, which were called the powellite from the past time without any detail mineral study. I studied the characteristics of Sang-Dong scheelite and the so called powellite. In the result, the so called powellite is proved to be the molybdenum bearing scheelite in the view of specific gravity, index of refraction, chemical composition, other microscopic properties, and dressing. Such a scheelite is contained usually Zor 3% Mo, and oftenly 4 or 6% Mo, and fluorescent colors are pale yellow, leman yellow and chrome yellow.
Based on both organic synthesis and theoretical calculations on the effects of molecular orbital energy levels of amines on the fluorescence properties of the fluorophore, fluorescent "turn-on" chemosensors detecting hazardous substances, including aldehyde chemicals and $Hg^{2+}$ ion, were developed.
We have investigated organic light-emitting devices by doping phosphorescent orange and fluorescent blue emitters into the separate layers of single host. The electroluminescence spectra and current efficiency were strongly dependent on the location of each doped layers. The luminance-voltage (L-V) characteristics of the device2 (ITO/Hole Transport Layer/Orange Phosphorescent emissive layer/Blue Fluorescent emissive layer/Electron Transport Layer/liF/Al) showed the maximum current efficiency of 19.5 cd/A.
A new fluorescent derivatizing reagent was developed to be used in HPLC for the trace determination of primary and secondary amines. This new reagent, 1-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyrene-6-sulfonyl chloride, was synthesized by the chlorination of sodium 1-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyrene-6-sulfonate which was obtained from 1-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyrene after sulfonation. Ephedrine and norephedrine were derivatized quantitatively by this reagent. The optimum conditions for the derivatization such as pH, reagent concentration, reaction time and reaction temperature ware examined. The structures of derivatives were identified by IR, $^{1}$H-NMR and MS methods. The fluorescence properties and the stability of the derivatives were examined. The derivatives were separated on silica column with an isocratic elution using the mixture of n-hexane and ethylacetate and monitored by fluorescene detector. Linear calibration curves were obtained and detection limits in a 10 $\mu$l injection volume were 5 picomole for ephedrine and norephedrine.
Recently, the RF inductive discharge or inductively coupled plasma continues to attract growing attention as an effective plasma source in many industrial applications, the best known of which are plasma processing and lighting technology. To the point of lighting sources, the ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamps utilizing an inductively coupled plasma have been objects of interest and research during the last decades, mainly because of their potential for extremely long life, high lamp efficacies, rapid power switching response. In this paper, maxwell 3D finite element analysis program (Ansoft) was used to obtain electromagnetic properties associated with the coil and nearby structures. The electromagnetic emitting properties were presented by 3D simulation software operated at 250 kHz and some specific conditions. The electromagnetic field in the ferrite core was shown to be high and symmetric. An LS-100 luminance meter and a Darsa-2000 spectrum analyzer were used in the experiment. According to data on the lamp tested using high magnetic field ferrite, the optical and thermal wave fields were shown to be high around the ring-shaped electrodeless fluorescent lamp. The optical or light field was high at the center of the bulb rather than around the ferrite core. The light conditions of the bulb were assumed to be complex, depending on the condition of the filler gas, the volume of the bulb, and the frequency of the inverter. Our results have shown coupling between the gas plasma and the field of the light emitted to be nonlinear.
We studied optical and electrical properties of two-wavelength white tandem organic light-emitting diodes using red and blue materials. White fluorescent OLEDs were fabricated using Alq3 : Rubrene (3 vol.% 5 nm) / SH-1 : BD-2 (3 vol.% 25 nm) as emitting layer (EML). White single fluorescent OLED showed maximum current efficiency of 9.7 cd/A, and tandem fluorescent OLED showed 18.2 cd/A. Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of single and tandem fluorescent OLEDs was (0.385, 0.435), (0.442, 0.473) at $1,000cd/m^2$, respectively. White hybrid OLEDs were fabricated using SH-1 : BD-2 (3 vol.% 10 nm) / CBP : $Ir(mphmq)_2(acac)$ (2 vol.% 20 nm) as EML. White single hybrid OLED showed maximum current efficiency of 7.8 cd/A, and tandem hybrid OLED showed 26.4 cd/A. Maximum current efficiency of tandem hybrid OLED was more twice as high as single OLED. CIE coordinates of single hybrid OLED was (0.315, 0.333), and tandem hybrid OLED was (0.448, 0.363) at $1,000cd/m^2$. CIE coordinates in white tandem OLEDs compared to those for single OLEDs observed red shift. This work reveals that stacked white OLED showed current efficiency improvement and red shifted emission than single OLED.
Shape memory polyurethane (SMPU), grafted with a fluorescent dye (Rhodamine, Mehylene violet, or Fluorescein) through an allophanate linking, was tested for the fluorescence and the shape recovery effect. The main chain of SMPU was composed of 4,4'-methylenebis(phenylisocyanate) (MDI), poly(tetramethyleneglycol) (PTMG), and 1,4-butanediol (BD), and a fluorescent dye was connected through a second MDI linked to the carbamate moiety of the main chain. Three series of SMPU, differing according to their dye content, were prepared to compare their shape recovery and fluorescence properties. In tensile mechanical property, maximum stress increased up to 350% compared to the linear SMPU, and strain remained above 2000%. Shape recovery went to as high as 97%, and remained almost same after repetitive shape recovery test cycles. Finally, the fluorescence emission of SMPU was demonstrated in the luminescence spectrum and fluorescent light emission pictures. In addition, the response of SMPU to external stimuli such as metal ions was investigated.
Contour vibration mode piezoelectric transformers were designed and fabricated to the square plate with size of $27.5{\times}27.5{\times}2.5(2.6,\;3.0)mm^3$ using PNW-PMN-PZT ceramics. Electrical characteristics of the piezoelectric transformer were investigated for fluorescent lamp ballast application. The electrical properties and characteristic temperature rise were measured using oscilloscope and infrared temperature sensor. A 28W fluorescent lamp was successfully driven by the fabricated transformers. After driving the lamp using Power Amplifier for 24 min, the output power, efficiency and characteristic temperature rise of PT2 piezoelectric transformer showed the appropriate values of 28.01 W, 99.43% and $11^{\circ}C$, respectively. The electronic ballast using PT2 piezoelectric transformer showed an excellent output power of 28.85 W and efficiency of 86.3%, respetively.

Different papers such as toilet and towel tissue, newsprint and copy paper made from reclaimed fibres were characterized using UV-VIS reflectance and fluorescence spectroscopy. The emission properties of the extracts of the papers were also evaluated. Photochemical irradiation at ambient temperatures, and thermal aging of the copy papers at 105$^{\circ}C$ and 150$^{\circ}C$ were performed. Post-colour numbers (PC) were calculated from the reflectance values measured from the corresponding UV-VIS reflectance spectra. Light absorption coefficient spectra were calculated before and after irradiation, and the changes in absorption coefficient were related to the content of chromophores in the papers. Photochemical and thermal discolouration of the copy papers, similar to that of virgin fibres, was readily observed. The influence of changes in the concentrations of fluorescent brightening agents and dyes on the spectral properties was also assessed. Photostabilization studies of the copy papers were performed with the use of polymer additives polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF).
