유체 구조 연성 해석기법을 이용한 고속발사체에 미치는 공력의 수치해석적 연구 (The Study of Aerodynamic about High-speed projectiles using Fluid Structure Interaction analysis)

  • This paper is focusing on the define the safety of high speed projectiles from aerodynamic load. The Fin loaded from aerodynamic is the roll of high speed projectile's gide. The Fin can rotate about 25deg as maximum, and it has maximum aerodynamic load with 25deg position. For finite element analysis from aerodynamic load, fluid analysis will be conducted before structure analysis and export pressure data. The pressure data will be used as load condition at structure analysis of Fin. The result of structure analysis of Fin, there is some stress concentration and stress closed with yield stress of material. But this problem will be solved with change to another material.

Evaluation of dynamic behaviors of gravity-based structures under seismic load considering fluid-structure-ground interactions

  • This paper presents a method for assessing the dynamic responses of gravity-based structures (GBS) under various seismic loads, with a focus on fluid-structure-ground interactions. Models of GBSs and their surrounding environments were developed, incorporating interaction effects among the structure, seawater, and seabed. Dynamic responses of the GBS subjected to three seismic loads-Chi-Chi, Northridge01, and Northridge02-were calculated, with consideration of both horizontal and vertical accelerations, as well as displacements. Parametric studies indicated that the primary factors affecting the dynamic responses of GBS were seismic loads characterized by significant input forces and accelerations. The frictional force on the ground had minimal impact on the horizontal and vertical displacements of the GBS. Weight emerged as a critical factor in anchoring the GBS to the ground and minimizing vertical accelerations and displacements.

  • Column mixer is one of the facility to mix fluids at petrochemical plants. The column vibration is caused by pumps for fluid inflow and mixing of inside fluids. This fluid induced vibration is mainly responsible for the reduction of column life. Measurements were performed three times for understanding the vibration characteristics of the column. First experimental results showed the need of stiffness reinforcement. After the reinforcement work, second measurement conformed the difference between two results. Modal analysis was also performed to investigate the resonance of the column vibration and the damage of the rib plate. To confirm the generation of the fluid instability in the column mixer fluid structure interaction analysis using ADINA/FSI was performed which showed the necessity of the modification of the rotary valve.

  • To predict the dynamic behavior of the cylindrical liquid storage tank subjected to seismic ground motion three dimesional analysis with liquid-structure interaction must be performed, In this study a three dimensional dynamic analysis method over the frequency domain using FE-BE coupling technique which combines the efficiency of the boundary elements for liquid with the versatility of the finite shell elements for tank. The liquid region is modeled using boundary elements which can counter the sloshing effect at free surface and the structure region the tank itself is modeled using the degenerated finite shell elements. At the beginning of the procedure the equivalent mass matrix of the liquid is generated by boundary elements procedure. Then this equivalent mass matrix is combined with the mass matrix of the structure to produce the global mass matrix in the equation of the motion of fluid-structure interaction problem In order to demonstrate the accuracy and validity of the developed method the numerical results re compared with the previous studies. Finally the effects of the fluid-structure interaction on the natural frequency and dynamic response of the system are analyzed.

진동파형가정방법을 이용한 선박 탱크 측면 접수 보강판의 고유진동해석 (Natural Vibration Analysis for Stiffened Plate of Ship Tank Side in Contact with Water Using Assumed Mode Method)

  • In this study, the assumed mode method using characteristic polynomials of Timoshenko beam is applied to the free vibration analysis for the stiffened plate of ship tank side in contact with water. The hydro-elastic effect of the fluid-structure interaction is considered by fluid velocity potential, derived from boundary conditions for fluid and structure, and utilized in the calculation of added mass matrix using assumed modes. To verify the validity and effectiveness of the presented method, free vibration analysis for the stiffened plates in contact with finite and infinite fluids have been carried out and its results were compared with those obtained by a general purpose FEA software.

접수탱크구조의 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vibration Characteristics in Water Tank Structure)

  • In ship structures, many parts are in contact with inner or outer fluid as stern, ballast and oil tanks. Fatigue damages can be sometimes observed in these tanks which seem to be caused by resonance. Tank structures in ships are in contact with water and the vibration characteristics are strongly affected by the added mass of containing water. Therefore it is important to predict vibration characteristics of tank structures. In order to estimate the vibration characteristics, the fluid-structure interaction problem has to be solved precisely. In the present paper, we have developed a numerical tool of vibration analysis of 3-dimensional tank structures using finite elements for plates and boundary elements for water region. To verify the present analysis, we have made an experiment for vibration characteristics of a tank with elastic opposite panels. And the added mass effect of containing water and the effect of structural constraint between panels are investigated numerically and discussed.

  • 본 연구는 유체-고체 연성 해석이 활발히 진행되고 있는 고체로켓의 3차원 연소실 상경계면 형상에 대해 정보 전달 기법 중 하나인 공통세분 기법의 적용을 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 기법은 불일치하는 경계면간 정보 전달에도 보존성과 정확도를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있다는 장점을 갖는다. 기법 구현은 상경계면에 공통표면을 구성하고 특정 오차를 최소화 시키는 최소화 내삽법을 적용하는 과정으로 수행되었다. 이를 바탕으로 다양한 다차원 상경계면 형상에서 연속 및 불연속 함수를 이용한 정보 전달 실험을 수행하였고, 다른 기법들과 해석 결과를 비교하였다.

  • 외부 충격에 대한 연료탱크의 구조 건전성을 확인하기 위해서는 연료탱크 내부 연료의 거동과 그에 따른 영향성을 파악할 수 있는 유체-구조 연성해석을 수행해야 한다. 과거에는 유체-구조 연성해석을 수행하기 위해서는 상당한 전산자원과 과도한 계산시간이 필요하여 수치해석 결과를 도출하기까지 많은 제약이 있었다. 하지만, 최근 컴퓨터 성능이 획기적으로 향상되어 유체-구조 연성해석 등의 복잡한 수치해석이 가능하게 되었다. 유체-구조 연성해석을 위해 주로 사용되는 방법은 ALE(Arbitrary Lagrangian and Eulerian)와 입자법(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamic)이 있다. 두 방법에는 상호 장단점이 있기 때문에 수치해석의 목적에 따라 적합한 방법을 적용하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 ALE을 적용하여 연료탱크 충돌충격 시험 수치모사를 수행하였다. 수치해석 목적은 충돌충격하중에 의해 컨테이너 내부에 장착된 연료탱크의 파손 가능성을 확인하는 것인데, 수치해석의 결과로 연료탱크 내부의 유체 거동을 파악하고, 충격하중에 의해 연료탱크와 컨테이너 구조물에서 발생하는 응력을 계산하여 연료탱크 파손 여부에 따른 내부 유체의 누설 가능성을 제고하였다.
