냉매분사식 팽창장치를 적용한 냉동기의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Refrigerator Using a Refrigerant Injection Type Expansion Device)

  • Refrigerating ability of vapor compression refrigerator is decided by the harmonic work of it's components such as compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion device, and so on. In this study, choosing refrigerant injectors as a new one of expansion device, temperature change of the cold room, ice freezing ability, and power consumption on flowrate of injector and refrigerant charging condition are evaluated experimentally. As the results of this study, it is verified that the spray injection type refrigeration system has some merits according to the flowrate and spray pattern of injector and charging quantum of refrigerant. And there are some design factors such as spray pattern and shape of spray chamber to utilize and fabricate this refrigerant injection type refrigerator.

  • The effects of design parameters for small scale hydro power(SSHP) plants due to rainfall condition have been studied. The model to predict hydrologic performance for SSHP plants is used in this study. The results from analysis for rainfall conditions based on KIER model show that the capacity and load factor of SSHP site had large difference between the period. Especially, the hydrologic performance of SSHP site due to rainfall condition of recent period varied in design flowrate sensitively. And also, the methodology represented in this study can be used to decide the primary design specifications of SSHP sites.

  • In this paper, build up of fan performance tester in KITECH was introduced. The fan tester was set up based on AMCA standards 210-99, ANSI/ASHRAE 51-1999 with maximum flowrate within $1000\;m^{3}/min$. Both of inlet and outlet chamber setup with multiple nozzles described in AMCA 210 were established. The development of fully automatic control and measurement system are described. With this system, the accuracy of fan performance test can be maintained through the various flowrate and the uncertainty can be reduced.

제트홴의 이격거리에 따른 터널내 환기특성에 관한 수치적 연구 (Effects of the Distance between Jet Fans on the Ventilation Performance in a Road Tunnel)

  • The jet fan is generally used to add thrust in the longitudinal ventilation system of road tunnel and the geometric conditions of jet fan such as the distance from tunnel wall have an effect on the performance of ventilation system. Numerical analyses on the flow in tunnel caused by operation of jet fan are presented to study the ventilation characteristics in tunnel. While the distance between jet fans in parallel installed in tunnel is changed 0.5 L/D to 3.0 L/D, the flowrate and mean velocity through tunnel are calculated for each cases. As the distance between jet fans increases, the flowrate through tunnel increases asymptotically and the momentum of tunnel flow is alike.

3차원 소형축류홴의 공력특성에 대한 난류모델평가 (Evaluation of the Turbulence Models on the Aerodynamic Performance of Three-Dimensional Small-Size Axial Fan)

  • The steady-state, incompressible and three-dimensional numerical analysis was carried out to evaluate turbulent models on the aerodynamic performance of a small-size axial fan(SSAF). The prediction performance on the static pressure of all turbulent models is going downhill at the high static pressure and low flowrate region, but has improved at the axial flow region. In consequence, all turbulent models predict the static pressure coefficient with an error performance less than about 4% after the region of the flowrate coefficient of about 0.14. Especially, the turbulent model of SST $k-{\omega}$ shows the best prediction performance equivalent to an error performance less than about 2% on the static pressure.

내부 열교환기를 이용한 R-1270용 냉동시스템의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of R-1270(Propylene) Refrigeration System Using Internal Heat Exchanger)

  • This paper considers the influence of internal heat exchangers on the efficiency of a refrigerating system using R-1270. These internal heat exchangers(liquid-gas or suction-line heat exchangers) can, in some cases, yield improved system performance while in other cases they degrade system performance. A steady state mathematical model is used to analysis the performance characteristics of refrigeration system with internal heat exchanger. The influence of operating conditions, such as the mass flowrate of R-1270, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, to optimal dimensions of the heat exchanger is also analyzed. The main results were summarized as follows : the mass flowrate of R-1270, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, and effectiveness have the influences on the cooling capacity, compressor work and RCI(Relative Capacity Index) of this system. With a thorough grasp of it is possible to design the R-1270 compression refrigeration cycle using internal heat exchanger.

Surface Texturing에 의한 유압부품의 마찰저감 (Surface Texturing in Hydraulic Machine Components for Friction Reduction)

  • In hydraulic machinery, the hydraulic fluid acts primarily as working fluid and secondarily as a lubricant. Hence, the viscous friction force acting on the sliding components should be reduced to improve the mechanical efficiency. It is now well known that the surface texturing is a useful method for friction reduction. In this study, using a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code, FLUENT, the lubrication characteristics of a surface textured slider bearing under high boundary pressure difference is studied. The streamlines, velocity profiles, pressure distributions, load capacity, friction force and leakage flowrate are highly affected by the film thickness ratio and the textured region. Partial texturing at the inlet region of the inclined slider bearing can reduce both friction force and leakage flowrate than in the untextured case. The present results can be used to improve the lubrication characteristics of hydraulic machinery.

수계별 소수력자원의 수문학적 성능특성 (Hydrologic Performance Characteristics of Small Hydro Power Resources for River Systems)

  • The hydrologic performance characteristics of small hydro power(SHP) sites located in four major river systems have been studied. The model, which can predict flow duration characteristic of stream, was developed to analyze the variation of inflow caused from rainfall condition. And another model to predict hydrologic performance for SHP plants is established. Monthly inflow data measured at Andong dam for 32 years were analyzed. The predicted results from the developed models in this study showed that the data were in good agreement with measured results of long term inflow at Andong dam. The results from hydrologic performance analysis for SHP sites located on five major river systems based on the models developed in this study show that the specific design flowrate and specific output of SHP site have large difference between the river systems.

  • During the rainy season, heavy downpours are always a source of concern for the world. Flooding and heavy rains can devastate communities, disrupt agriculture, and contribute to traffic accidents.. Weir and flow hall effect sensors are the conventional analytical methods for measuring flow rate; in this paper, we analyzed manhole flowrate statistics. The measurement of the flow rate of a notch/weir is a time-consuming task that necessitates continuous mathematical analysis. . We created three types of IoT sensors in this study: (HC-SR04 ultrasonic, YF-S201 magnetic, and HB100 radar), which take the sensor's real-time input signal and estimate the flow using a notch equation and a previously calibrated optimized coefficient of discharge. The proposed systems are cost-effective, but in terms of accuracy, we found that the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is the best of the three systems
