급배기 위치에 따른 바닥급기 공조시스템의 냉방 열환경 (Thermal Comfort of the Floor Supply Air Conditioning System for Different Supply-return Locations during Cooling)

  • This study numerically investigates thermal comfort in a space cooled by the floor-supply air conditioning system, in which three different supply-return locations, one floor supply-ceiling return and two floor supply-floor returns, are treated. A complementary experiment is peformed to validate the present numerical analysis, and the prediction agrees favorably with the measured data. In the numerical procedure, a simplified model mimicking the inlet flow through the diffuser is developed for efficient simulations. The calculated results show that the ceiling return type is far better in thermal comfort than the floor return ones within the extent of this study, which seems to be caused by effective vertical penetration of the supply air against natural convection. It is also revealed that the arrangement of port locations in the floor supply-floor return system has insignificant effect on the cooling performance. For selecting a proper system, other characteristics including the heating performance should be accounted for simultaneously with the present estimation.

주기적 연료공급에 따른 화염거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on flame characteristics with periodical fuel supply)

  • Flame characteristics of periodic fuel jets were studied experimentally by supplying the fuel periodically using solenoid valve. Flame was observed using a high speed camera, a 35 mm camera and a cathetometer. Hot-wire ananometer was used to meature the speed of fuel flow at the nozzle exit to analyze the flow characteristics. Various types of flame characteristics such as the flame lift-off and extinction were observed for different ranges of period, duty, and flow rate, but the flame shape was not affected much by the variation in the flow rate. Decreasing duty of the pulses applied to the solenoid valve promotes lift-off and enhances premixed flame characteristics.

  • In case the fault occurs in AC power supply network, protective relaying system must selectively detect line-to-line/ground fault and immediately cut off the power flow into the fault location for guaranteeing the safety of people, electric vehicle and ground installation etc. It is the most important point in power system operation to minimize the fault duration by rapid trip scheme and accurate estimation of the fault location. In this paper, we analyze the load characteristics of each vehicle, perform the fault analysis of AC power supply network using AT current-ratio method. The result shows its usefulness.

  • A silicon wafer is a highly customized product made to the individual order varying its electrical and physical characteristics. Therefore, it has distinctive supply chain structure that is different from highly standardized commodity product. For high-volume/high-standardization product, it is general that a main stream of information flow initiated by the production planning of the manufacturers is usually directed to push both ways in a supply chain: upstream to the suppliers and downstream to the customers. Contrastingly, for low-volume/high-customization product, the information flow triggered by the fluctuating customer demand usually propagates upward to the suppliers through the manufacturers. Furthermore, for R &D based hi-technology product like silicon wafer, the interactive information feedback mechanism between manufacturer and customer, which is essential to the new product development process, is to be embedded in the supply chain. This article is a case study of supply chain management system of LG Siltron, a major Korean silicon wafer manufacturer. The SCM system entails special information structure fitting well typical high-variety/high-customization product, and also gives application possibilities to the R&D based high-technology product made to the individual customer order.

코안다 노즐을 이용한 배기가스 재순환 장치의 형상에 따른 재순환 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recirculation Flow Characteristics with the Change of Shape in a Flue Gas Recirculation Device using Coanda Nozzle)

  • 본 연구는 폐기물 소각로에서 질소산화물 저감을 위해 고온의 배기가스를 연소로에서 재순환하여 연소용 공기와 혼합하여 배기가스 재순환을 이용한 방법에서 고온의 배기가스를 별도의 동력 팬이 없이 코안다 노즐을 이용한 배기가스 재순환 장치에 관한 연구이다. 코안다 노즐에서 공기 공급 노즐 간극의 변화와 공기 공급 노즐의 위치에 따른 배기가스 재순환 유량 특성과 혼합 가스의 출구에서 평균온도 변화를 살펴보았다. 공기 공급 노즐의 간극이 3.22, 4.03, 4.84 mm로 변할 때 가장 좁은 3.22 mm일 때가 배기가스 재순환 유량과 공기 공급 유량의 비인 배기가스 재순환 유량비가 2.227로 가장 재순환 유량이 크게 나타났고 혼합가스 평균 온도는 $594.8^{\circ}C$로 나타났다. 공기 공급 노즐의 위치가 코안다 노즐 목의 전방 위치, 목 위치, 확관 위치로 변할 때를 살펴보았으며 전방 위치와 목 위치일 때는 재순환 유량비가 1.843으로 거의 같은 값이고 확관 위치에서는 1.696으로 나타났으며 평균 온도는 $559.8^{\circ}C$$544.3^{\circ}C$로 나타났다.

  • During a reactor normal operation, a primary coolant was designed to remove the fission reaction heat of the reactor. When one pump is failure and the other pump shall supply the cooling water to cool the reduced power, it is necessary to estimate how much flow will be supplied to cool the reactor. We carried a flow net work analysis for two parallel pumping system as based on the piping net work of the primary cooling system in HANARO. As result, it is estimated that the flow of one pump increased than the rated flow of the pump below the cavitation critical flow.

  • 본 연구는 CFD 해석을 이용하여 사각 천장형 루버 디퓨저의 토출각도와 토출 유량에 따른 실내 공기유동 특성에 관한 것이다. CFD 툴은 상용프로그램인 ANSYS 13.0의 CFX를 이용하였다. 연구에 사용된 디퓨저는 적은 유량에서도 충분한 도달거리를 확보할 수 있도록 모델링하였으며, 실내 크기는 $6{\times}6{\times}2.7m$로 디퓨저의 대각선 방향으로 원형 배기구를 모델링 하였다. 토출 공기의 체적유량은 5.1CMM, 7.4CMM이며, 디퓨저의 토출각도를 $30^{\circ}$에서부터 $60^{\circ}$까지 $10^{\circ}$씩 변화하여 실내의 유동특성에 대하여 고찰하였다.

  • A problem of oil supply for a reciprocating compressor is very significant for an evaluation of reliability. Since a rotational motion of a crank shaft for the reciprocating compressor with small capacity is used for a power source of oil supply, a centrifugal force of the rotational shaft provides a stroke of oil inside the shaft like a centrifugal pump. The pumped oil rises following an inner wall and provided to a bearing passed through an oil supply hole at the side of the shaft for lubrication of the bearing. In this study, the amount of oil supply has been investigated by a numerical analysis for various conditions such as a shape of a groove, rpm of the compressor, and a shape of a flow channel. Also, a method of increasing oil supply for a low rpm has been studied so that the function can be improved for a variable condition.

  • Dynamic flow characteristics of a solenoid valve are affected by pressure difference in inlet and outlet of orifice, gas temperature, and supply voltage of a coil. In this paper, the dynamic flow characteristics for deviations of various conditions are studied Static and dynamic flow for variation on-time of a solenoid valve open signal are measured in basic bench test. The solenoid valve is applied to a compressed natural gas(CNG) engine test for validation of flow control performance. The experimental results show that flow of high pressure gas can controlled precisely by using a solenoid valve.

  • Combustion phenomenon in diesel engine is mainly governed by characteristics of fuel injection and fuel spray system affected by its dimensions and operating condition. Fuel supply system is consisted of fuel injection pump, high pressure pipe and injection nozzle. In order to develope the more economical diesel fuel injection system, it is in need to carryout the fairly wide range experiments, which is quite impossible. Therefore, theoretical analysis for the numberous parameters is powerful method in this case. In the present study, equations of continuity of fuel oil in fuel injection system are solved to obtain the flow and pressure variation in diesel fuel system affected by injection pump speed, plunger diameter, pipe length and nozzle opening pressure.
