유체기계에 있어서 부의 음원 임피던스의 원인에 관한 고찰 (A Review of the Possible Causes of Negative Source Impedance in Fluid Machines)

  • 대부분의 유체기계는 일정 조건하에서는 주기적인 소음 원들로 간주될 수 있으며, 소음원 및 관련 덕트의 음향계를 주파수영역으로 표현이 가능하게 되는데, 음원은 주파수의 함수인 음원강도와 음원 임피던스로 표현된다. 이들 변수를 알아내기 위하여는 다양한 이론적, 실험적 방법이 있으나, 고속, 고온, 고강도의 유체 기계와 같은 단일 연결구를 갖는 음원에 대하여는 다양한 길이의 많은 관들을 부하로 사용하는 다부하법만이 적용 가능하다. 문제는 이 다부하법을 적용했을 때, 음원 임피던스의 실수부가 부의 값을 갖는 경우가 많다는 점이다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제의 명확한 원인분석을 위한 일환으로서, 다양한 이론적 실험적 결과에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 하여 가능한 여러 가지 원인에 대한 물리적 조사 결과를 보이고, 분석 결과에 대한 새로운 해석을 통해 기본 가정의 위배와 함께 다부하법 자체의 문제점을 제시한다 유체 기계 덕트에서는 다른 무엇보다도 음원의 시변성이 부의 음원저항을 낳는데 가장 큰 영향을 미치게 되며, 부하 임피던스가 최종 결과에 지대한 영향을 미치게 된다.

인버터 에어컨 시스템의 역률보상을 위한 AC-DC 컨버터 제어 (AC-DC Converter Control for Power Factor Correction of Inverter Air Conditioner System)

  • In this paper, we propose a new AC-DC converter control method to comply with harmonics regulation(IEC 61000-3) effective for the inverter system of an air conditioner whose power consumption is less than 2,500W. There are many different ways of AC-DC converter control, but this paper focuses on the converter control method that is adopting an input reactor with low cost silicon steel core to strengthen cost competitiveness of the manufacturer. The proposed control method controls input current every half cycle of the line frequency to get unit power factor and at the same time to reduce switching loss of devices and acoustic noise from reactor. This kind of converter is known as a Partial Switching Converter(PSC). In this study, theoretical analysis of the PSC has been performed using Matlab/Simulink while a 16-bit micro-processor based converter has been used to perform the experimental analysis. In the theoretical analysis, electrical circuit models and equations of the PSC are derived and simulated. In the experiments, micro-processor controls input current to keep the power factor above 0.95 by reducing the phase difference between input voltage and current and at the same time to maintain a reference DC-link voltage against voltage drop which depends on DC-link load. Therefore it becomes possible to comply with harmonic regulations while the power factor is maximized by optimizing the time of current flow through the input reactor for every half cycle of line frequency.

Beam Tracing 기법을 이용한 수동 소나 센서의 수신 음압해석 프로그램 개발 (Development of Received Acoustic Pressure Analysis Program of CHA using Beam Tracing Method)

  • In order to predict acoustic pressure distributions by exterior incident wave at Cylindrical Hydrophone Array (CHA) sensor's positions, acoustic pressure analysis is performed by using beam tracing method. Beam tracing method is well-known of reliable pressure analysis methods at high-frequency range. When an acoustic noise source is located at the center of rectangular room, acoustic pressure analysis is performed by using both beam tracing method and Power Flow Boundary Element Method (PFBEM). By comparing with results of beam tracing method and those of PFBEM, the accuracy of beam tracing method is verified. We develop the CHA pressure analysis program by verified beam tracing method. The developed software is composed of model input, sensor array creator, analysis option, solver and post-processor. We can choose a model option of 2D or 3D. The sensor array generator is connected to a sonar which is composed of center position, bottom, top and angle between sensors. We also can choose an analysis option such as analysis frequency, beam number, reflect number, etc. The solver module calculates the ray paths, acoustic pressure and result of generating beams. We apply the program to 2D and 3D CHA models, and their results are reliable.

SPMLD: Sub-Packet based Multipath Load Distribution for Real-Time Multimedia Traffic

  • Load distribution is vital to the performance of multipath transport. The task becomes more challenging in real-time multimedia applications (RTMA), which impose stringent delay requirements. Two key issues to be addressed are: 1) How to minimize end-to-end delay and 2) how to alleviate packet reordering that incurs additional recovery time at the receiver. In this paper, we propose sub-packet based multipath load distribution (SPMLD), a new model that splits traffic at the granularity of sub-packet. Our SPMLD model aims to minimize total packet delay by effectively aggregating multiple parallel paths as a single virtual path. First, we formulate the packet splitting over multiple paths as a constrained optimization problem and derive its solution based on progressive approximation method. Second, in the solution, we analyze queuing delay by introducing D/M/1 model and obtain the expression of dynamic packet splitting ratio for each path. Third, in order to describe SPMLD's scheduling policy, we propose two distributed algorithms respectively implemented in the source and destination nodes. We evaluate the performance of SPMLD through extensive simulations in QualNet using real-time H.264 video streaming. Experimental results demonstrate that: SPMLD outperforms previous flow and packet based load distribution models in terms of video peak signal-to-noise ratio, total packet delay, end-to-end delay, and risk of packet reordering. Besides, SPMLD's extra overhead is tiny compared to the input video streaming.

편측성대마비에 대한 제 1형 갑상성형술과 피열연골내전술의 동시수술시 술전 및 술후 음성언어분석비교 (Analysis of Pre and Post-Operative Speech In Combined Operation of Type I Thyroplasty and Arytenoid Adduction for Unilateral Vocal Cord Palsy)

  • Background and Objectives : The managements of unilateral vocal cord palsy include type Ⅰ thyroplasty and arytenoid adduction. One type operation has been shown no satisfactory effect. We evaluated preoperative and postoperative speech of unilateral vocal cord palsy patients who received combined operation of type Ⅰ thyroplasty and arytenoid adduction to help for the management plan of unilateral vocal cord palsy patients. Materials and Methods : We reviewed the postoperative results and complication of 17 surgically treated patients of unilateral vocal cord palsy at Severance hospital from Nov. 1996 to Dec. 1997 retrospectively. They were received combined operation of type Ⅰ thyroplasty and arytenoid adduction. Their pre and post-operative speech were analyzed with MDVP(Multi-Dimension-Voice analysis Program) of CSL(Computerized Speech Lab). Results : After the operation, MPT(Maximal Phonation Time) was increased and MFR(Mean Flow Rate) was decreased in all patients. NHR(Noise to Harmonic Ratio) and VTI(Voice Turbulence Index) were decreased : liner, RAP(Relative Average Perturbation Quotient), PPQ(Pitch Period Perturbation Quotient), sPPQ(smoothed Pitch Period Perturbation Quotient), vFo(fundamental frequency Variation) were decreased : Shimmer, APQ(Amplitude Perturbation Quotient), sAPQ(Smoothed Amplitude Perturbation Qoutient), vAm(Peak Amplitude Variation) were decreased in all the patients. Conclusions : In unilateral vocal cord pals), combined operation of type Ⅰ thyroplasty and arytenoid adduction could obtain satisfactory postoperative voice. MDVP has many parameters and good method for evaluation of voice surgery.

지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용한 토양지질도 분포와 실내라돈 상관성 연구 : 화천 및 장수의 사례를 근거로 (The Research for Relationships between Concentration of Indoor Radon and Distribution of Soil Geological Map using GIS : Based on the Hwacheon and Jangsu Areas)

  • Objectives: This study examines the relationships between indoor radon concentrations and distribution from soil geological mapping in the Hwacheon and Jangsu areas. Methods: GIS and a pivot table were used for inquiries about indoor radon contents, soil characteristics, and geological differences. Results: The Hwacheon area was characterized by the presence of normal and reverse faults as a passage of runoff for radon, sufficient occurrences of minerals containing uranium within granite as a radon source, a high concentration of radon within the granite area and clear differences of radon concentrations between granitic and metamorphic areas. The Jangsu area was characterized by the presence of normal faults, wide distributions of alluvium, and ambiguities on radon concentrations indoors among areas of geological differences. Considering the granite area and alluvium surrounded with granite areas, the characteristics of radon concentrations within soils and indoors in the Jangsu area are similar to those of the Hwacheon area. High concentrations are found with entisol and inceptisol in the Hawcheon area, but with entisol, inceptisol, and ultisol in the Jangsu area. High radon concentrations are found in sandy loam and/or loam. High concentrations are found in recently constructed or brick buildings, but low concentrations in traditional or prefabricated houses showing a high possibility of outward flow. Conclusions: The overall results suggest that radon concentrations in the Hwacheon and Jangsu area are dominantly influenced by geological characteristics with additional artificial influences.

음주에 따른 음성 변화에 대한 고찰 (Studies on Voice Changes Associated with Alcohol Intake)

  • Background and Objectives : It has been pointed out that alcohol intake in human beings induces changes in voice register and maximum phonation time. These changes supposedly result from injection of the vibratory vocal folds. The purpose of this study was to clarify the voice changes associated with alcohol intake and the changes of laryngeal mucosa. Materials and Methods : The subjects included 29 volunteers, including 20 men and 9 women ranging in age from 22 to 31 years. Alcohol intake was accomplished by oral administration of 23% soju 1 bottle (255cc). Serum alcohol concentration levels were evaluated hourly for 3 h after ingestion of alcohol. Seven measurements were performed at pre-alcohol intake and post-alcohol intake hourly : fundamental frequency, jitter, shimmer, noise to harmonic ratio as the acoustic analysis, maximal phonation time, mean flow rate, and subglottal pressure as the aerodynamic analysis. The changes of laryngeal mucosa were evaluated by flexible laryngoscope at each measurement. Results : By comparing the acoustic and aerodynamic data and laryngeal mucosa before and after alcohol intake, there were not remarkable changes (p>0.05). Conclusion : The voice and laryngeal mucosa have not remarkably changed according to alcohol concentration in this study. Furthermore studies on the voice change induced by multiple alcohol concentrations are required.

가변 흡.배기시스템에 의한 과급디젤기관의 체적효율 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Volumetric Efficiency Improvement by Variable Induction & Exhaust System in a Turbocharged Diesel Engine)

  • In this study, a variable induction and exhaust system is applied to turbocharged diesel engine to improve the volumetric efficiency, especially, in a low and transient engine speed range where much of the pollutant matters are expelled out. The volumetric efficiency is known as one of the most important factor which affects significantly engine performance, fuel economy and further emission and noise level. As the torque increase with the engine speed up, the gas flow in an exhaust pipe become pulsating and then has an effect on boost up capacity of air charging into the cylinder and expelling capacity to atmosphere simultaneously. But at a low and idling speed, the pulsation effect was not so significant. Accordingly, resonator was employed to compensate their loss. The variable induction system consists of the secondary pipe, resonator, intercooler, and torque variance were examined with extended operating conditions. In the mean time, for interpretation and well understanding for the phenomena of wave action that arising during intake and exhaust process between turbocharger and variable intake system, the concept of the combined supercharging was introduced. Some of results are depicted which deal with a pressure history during valve events of induction process. Consequently, by the governing of these phase and amplitude of pulsating wave, it enables us to estimate and evaluate for the intake system performance and also, designing stage of the system layout.

  • The performance of fan for engine room of ship is absolutely important when it take into consideration work efficiency, work condition, and the performance of various equipments. Fan performance test should be carried out during sea trial to satisfy owner's requirement as above mentioned. We have considered various values to affect fan test result. In here, various values are to be silencer, fan inlet shape, and arrangement of fan room. In general, the shapes of fan inlet is overall circular type because of the shapes of axial fan. So, all vessels built at SHI have been applied fan inlet of circular type. And now, in order to reduce sound of noise from supply fan, big silencer often has been installed at high value vessels. In this case, the capacity of supplied air can be insufficient due to silencer which is an obstructer about air flow. In this paper, we have studied the performance of fan through comparison between a circular shape and a square shape of fan inlet. We also compare with CFD results and experimental results.

  • 브러시리스(brushless) DC 전동기는 회전자의 위치에 따라 3상 중 2상에 전류를 흐르게 하는 방식으로 구동되며 회전자의 위치를 검출하기 위해서는 홀센서나 엔코더등과 같은 자기식 또는 광학식 위치 검출 센서가 사용되는데 이러한 센서들은 고온이나 저온에서 원치 않는 동작을 유발할 수 있고 전동기의 가격과 부피를 증가시키는 단점이 있다. 최근에는 전동기의 가격과 부피적 측면 그리고 강건성을 고려하여 센서리스(Sensorless) 전동기 구동에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 전동기를 Unipolar PWM 방법으로 고속으로 회전시킬 경우 발생되는 노이즈에 의해 Zero Crossing Point 관측이 어려워 정확한 제어가 용이하지 않은 문제점을 개선하여 드라이버의 수명을 증대시키면서 고속에서도 노이즈를 최소화 할 수 있는 새로운 스위칭 방법을 제안한다.
