복수 연결된 부유체-균형추식 파력발전장치의 전력량에 관한 연구 (A study for electric power of float-counterweight wave energy converter)

  • 화석 연료의 고갈로 인해 신재생 에너지에 관한 관심이 날로 증가하고 있다. 그 중에서도 예측가능성이 높고 이용 가능한 양이 풍부한 파력에너지에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 부유체-균형추식 파력발전장치는 진동 타입과 비교해 구조 강도가 증진된 장치이며, 부유체의 포면에 웨이브 캠버라 불리우는 격벽을 설치하여 파도가 오직 상하운동만을 하도록 만들었다. 본 논문은 주로 병렬 연결된 파력 발전장치의 발전량에 중점을 두고, 그 발전량을 계산하였다. 그 결과, nl/L의 값이 증가할수록, 더 많은 전력량이 발생하고, nl/L=0.40 이상이 되었을 때, 상시 연속적인 발전량이 얻어진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통해서, 실제 해역 조건에 유리한 유수실을 설계하는데 기본 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

Wave energy conversion utilizing vertical motion of water in the array of water chambers aligned in the direction of wave propagation

  • As a new technical approach, wave energy converter by using vertical motion of water in the multiple water chambers were developed to realize actual wave power generation as eco-environmental renewable energy. And practical use of wave energy converter was actually to require the following conditions: (1) setting up of the relevant device and its application to wave power generation in case that severe wave loading is avoided; (2) workability in installation and maintenance operations; (3) high energy conversion potential; and (4) low cost. In this system, neither the wall(s) of the chambers nor the energy conversion device(s) are exposed to the impulsive load due to water wave. Also since this system is profitable when set along the jetty or along a long floating body, installation and maintenance are done without difficulty and the cost is reduced. In this paper, we describe the system which consists of a float, a shaft connected with another shaft, a rack and pinion arrangement, a ratchet mechanism, and rotary type generator(s). Then, we present the dynamics model for evaluating the output electric power, and the results of numerical calculation including the effect of the phase shift of up/down motion of the water in the array of water chambers aligned along the direction of wave propagation.

Behaviour of the Twill Weave Woven Fabrics during Relaxation

  • This work looks into the behaviour of the twill weave woven fabrics during relaxation (when the weaving tension is released). Ten, 50-metre rolls of twill weave woven fabrics were produced. The fabrics were marked in a rectangular form at the weaving loom. After 48 hours of relaxation, the new shapes and sizes were recorded. The shapes of almost all of the samples were changed to parallelogram, even though they differed in size. The work showed that the manner of fabric deformation during relaxation depends upon the fabric structure. It indicates that contraction due to relaxation of the twill weave causes the woven fabric to skew. in the direction of the twill. The quantity of the skewness is related to the float length and the twill type. Fabrics with longer float length have higher skewness.

메타모델을 이용한 플로트오버 설치 작업용 능동형 갑판지지프레임의 근사설계최적화 (Approximate Design Optimization of Active Type Desk Support Frame for Float-over Installation Using Meta-model)

  • In this study, approximate design optimization using various meta-models was performed for the structural design of active type deck support frame. The active type deck support frame was newly developed to facilitate both transportation and installation of 20,000 ton class offshore plant topside. Structural analysis was carried out using the finite element method to evaluate the strength performance of the active type deck support frame in its initial design stage. In the structural analysis, the strength performances were evaluated for various design load conditions that were regulated in ship classification organization. The approximate optimum design problem based on meta-model was formulated such that thickness sizing variables of main structure members were determined by achieving the minimum weight of the active type deck support frame subject to the strength performance constraints. The meta-models used in the approximate design optimization were response surface method, Kriging model, and Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials. The results from approximate design optimization were compared to actual non-approximate design optimization. The Chebyshev orthogonal polynomials among the meta-models used in the approximate design optimization represented the most pertinent optimum design results for the structure design of the active type deck support frame.

해양플랜트 플로트오버 설치 공법용 수동형 갑판 지지 프레임의 최소중량설계와 민감도 평가를 위한 실험계획법 응용 (Application of Experimental Design Methods for Minimum Weight Design and Sensitivity Evaluation of Passive-Type Deck Support Frame for Offshore Plant Float-Over Installation)

  • 본 연구에서는 20,000 톤급 해양플랜트 상부구조물(Topside)의 플로트오버 설치작업을 위해 개발된 수동형 갑판 지지 프레임(Deck support frame)의 구조설계에 대해 다양한 실험계획법을 이용한 최소중량설계와 민감도 평가의 비교연구를 수행하였다. 수동형 갑판 지지 프레임의 주요 구조부재의 두께 치수 변수는 설계인자로 고려하였고, 응답치는 중량과 강도성능으로 선정하였다. 최소중량설계와 민감도 평가의 비교연구에 사용한 실험계획법은 직교배열설계법, Box-Behnken 설계법, 그리고 Latin hypercube 설계법이다. 실험계획법의 설계공간 탐색의 근사화 성능을 평가하기 위해 반응표면법을 각 실험계획법 별로 생성하여 근사화 정확도 특성을 검토하였다. 또한 최소중량설계를 위해 최상 설계안의 결과로 부터 실험계획법의 특성에 따른 수치계산 비용, 중량감소 효과 등을 평가하였다. 수동형 갑판 지지 프레임의 구조설계에 대해 Box-Behnken 설계법이 가장 적합한 설계 결과를 나타내었다.

직교배열실험을 이용한 해양플랜트 플로트오버 설치 작업용 능동형 DSF의 민감도해석과 근사모델 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Approximate Models and Sensitivity Analysis of Active Type DSF for Offshore Plant Float-over Installation Using Orthogonal Array Experiment)

  • 본 연구에서는 해양플랜트의 플로트오버 설치 작업을 위해 개발된 능동형 갑판지지 프레임(Deck support frame, DSF)의 구조설계에 대해 직교배열실험 방법을 이용한 민감도해석과 다양한 근사모델의 적용에 따른 설계공간의 근사화 특성에 관한 비교연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 효율적인 최적설계안 탐색과 높은 정확도의 근사모델을 생성할 수 있는 직교배열실험 기반의 설계 방법론을 제안하는 것이다. 설계인자는 주요 구조부재의 두께 치수를 적용하였고, 응답함수는 중량과 강도성능을 선정하였다. 직교배열실험을 이용하여 설계인자 별 응답함수에 대해 정량적인 영향도가 분석되었고, 최소중량설계를 실현할 수 있는 최상 설계조건이 탐색되었다. 직교배열실험 결과로부터 반응표면 모델, 크리깅 모델, 체비쇼프 직교 다항식 모델, 그리고 방사기저함수 신경망 모델과 같은 다양한 근사모델이 생성되었다. 근사모델의 결과를 통해 직교배열실험 결과의 타당성을 검증하였으며, 능동형 DSF의 설계공간에 대해 방사기저함수 신경망 모델이 가장 높은 정확도로 근사화할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Wave Response Analysis and Future Direction of Mega-Float

  • In the country where the population concentrates in the metropolis with the narrow land, development of th ocean space is necessary. Recently, mega-float offshore structure is studied as one of the effective utilization of the ocean space. And very large floating structure are now being considered for various applications such as floating airports, offshore cities and so on. This very large structure is relatively flexible compared with real floating structures like large ships. when we estimate dynamic responses of these structures in waves, the elastic deformation is important, because vertical dimension is small compared with horizontal. And it is necessary to examine the effect of ocean wave eternal force received from the natural environment. In this study, the mat-type large floating structure is made to be analytical model. And the analysis of the dynamic response as it receives regular wave is studied. The finite element method is used in the analysis of structure part of this model. And the analysis is carried out using the boundary element method in the fluid part. In order to know the characteristics of the dynamic response of the large floating structures, effects of wavelength, bending rigidity of the structure, water depth, and wave direction on dynamic response of the floating structure are studied by use of numerical calculation.

  • 댐 및 저수지 운영시 가장 중요한 센서 중의 하나인 수위계는 댐의 수문조작에 있어 직접적으로 연관되기 때문에 수위계의 특성이 잘 관리될 필요가 있다. 따라서 수위 측정에 널리 사용되고 있는 부자식, 초음파식, 그리고 레이다식 수위계에 대한 특성시험이 가능하도록 수위계 표준 시험 장치를 개발하였고, 이를 이용하여 레이다식 수위계와 초음파식 수위계에 대하여 수위에 따른 특성시험을 실시하여 각 수위계에 대한 특성을 상호 비교 분석하고자 한다.
