BADA를 활용한 4-D 경로 모델링법 개발 (Development of 4-D Trajectory Modeling using BADA)

  • Four dimensional(4-D) trajectory modeling is conducted based on flight plan. The flight plan is divided into several segments which represent certain operating flight modes. Thrust, drag and fuel consumption rate of an aircraft are calculated using BADA provided by Eurocontrol. The trajectory is modeled with the rate of climb/descent calculated with Total-Energy Equation. The simulation results with a typical aircraft and its flight plan indicate that the trajectory modeled corresponds well with the suggested flight plan. The performance profiles including total endurance time and time history for speed, thrust, drag and fuel consumption were also appropriately generated.

Drone Image Quality Analysis According to Flight Plan

  • Drone related research has been increasing recently due to the development and distribution of commercial unmanned aerial vehicles. However, most of the previous studies focused on the accuracy and utility of drone surveying. For drones, the resolution of the result is determined according to the flight altitude, but since 70% of Korea is mountainous, it is necessary to analyze the quality of the drone image according to the flight plan. In this study, the quality of drone photogrammetry results according to flight plans was analyzed. The flight plan was established by fixed altitude and considering the height of the terrain. Images were acquired for both cases and data was processed to generate ortho images. As a result of evaluating the accuracy of the generated ortho image, the accuracy was found to be -0.07 ~ 0.09m. The accuracy of Case I and Case II did not show a significant difference, but for RMSE, Case I showed a good value. These results indicate that the drone flight plan affects the quality of the results. Also, when flying at a fixed altitude, II showed a lower value than the originally set overlap according to the altitude of the object. In future surveys using drones, flight planning taking into account the height of the object will contribute to the improvement of the quality of the results.

한국형 기동헬기 개발을 위한 비행시험 계획 및 시험결과 개요 (An Overview of Flight Test Planning and Test Results for the Development of Korean Utility Helicopter)

  • The objective of this paper is to give a general understanding for the development flight test of Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH). This paper contains the contents of detailed flight test plan, the type of flight test, an introduction to main flight test area, and the overview of flight test results. At the beginning, more than 8,500 test points were identified for airworthiness certification to show the compliance for the KUH development requirements. However, the number of flight test points were optimized to 7,800 at the end. To accomplish the test objectives, about 860 flight test sorties had been performed, and more than 1,000 test sorties were consumed for trouble shooting. This paper also describes some major issues faced during development flight test phase.

  • 인천국제공항이 동북아 허브 공항으로서 성공하려면 동 공항을 중심으로 한 비행편 구성이 경쟁 공항보다 효율적이어야 한다. 본 논문은 항공여행자의 비행편 선택 행위를 분석하여 인천국제공항 허브화 성공을 위한 비행편 구성 계획에 이용하는 방법을 연구했다. 규제가 완화된 시장에서는 소비자의 선호 파악에 기초한 사업 계획이 유효하므로 비집계형 선택모델에서 산출할 수 있는 여행시간가치, 운항빈도와 여행시간의 대체율 등을 이용하여 비행편 구성 계획을 할 필요가 있을 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 도심항공모빌리티(UAM; urban air mobility)의 안전하고 효율적인 운항을 위해 SWIM (system wide information management) 기술 기반의 전략적 비행계획 관리를 위한 FF-ICE (flight and flow - information for a collaborative environment)의 활용 및 구현 방안을 제안한다. SWIM은 항공 교통 데이터의 표준화된 인프라로, 다양한 이해관계자 간의 원활한 정보 교환을 가능하게 한다. FF-ICE는 SWIM 내에서의 비행 계획 관련 정보를 공유하기 위해 ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization)에서 제시한 개념으로, 본 논문에서는 이를 활용한 UAM의 비행계획 관리방안, 비행계획서의 제출 절차, 유효성 검증, 운용성 검증, 상태정보 관리 방법 등을 제시하고 구현하였으며, SWIM 인프라를 통해 기능을 확인하였다. FF-ICE를 이용한 UAM의 비행계획 관리는 전략적인 단계에서의 비행계획 검증을 통한 UAM 운항의 안전성과 효율성을 향상할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • BITSE is a technology demonstration mission to remotely measure the speed, temperature, and density of the solar wind as it forms as close as 3 Rs. BITSE obtained coronal images during its one day flight above more than 99% of the atmosphere, and calibration data are taken in the laboratory as well as during the flight. As the linearly polarized K-corona is much fainter than other bright sources like diffraction, sky, and F-corona, a careful data reduction is required to obtain reliable scientific results. We will report status of the obtained data, the reduction progress, and future plan.

항공승무원의 우주방사선 피폭 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reduction of Cosmic Radiation Exposure by Flight Crew)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the radiation dose data of the space crew of the flight crew and to present a plan for the health management of the flight crew on the basis of the analysis. The analysis show that the average exposure dose of the flight attendants continued to rise, and the exposure dose of the flight attendants was five(5) times higher than that of the radiation workers. As a way to reduce the effects of cosmic radiation, this paper suggests appropriate personnel allocation by model, balanced allocation of high and low latitude routes by crew according to the aircraft type, and a low altitude flight plan for high latitude flight. This study will help aviation crew members understand cosmic radiation and trust in the company's policies. In the future, it will be necessary to enhance the flight safety of the crew by deriving meaningful results by analyzing data related to cosmic radiation of various routes.

효율적인 비행계획 연관을 위한 CWP MRT 데이터 처리 모듈 구현 (Implementation of CWP MRT Data Processing Module for Efficient Correlating Flight Plan)

  • 비행계획 연관은 안전하고 신속한 관제 업무를 위해 매우 중요한 기능이다. 본 논문에서는 레이더 감시자료 중 MRT 데이터와 비행계획을 연관시키는 과정에서 발생하는 네트워크 부하를 최소화함으로써 전체적인 항공교통 자동화 시스템의 성능을 향상을 도모할 수 있는 CWP MRT 처리 모듈을 구현하였다. 구현 모듈은 분산형 연관 방식을 적용함으로써 항공교통관제 자동화 시스템의 효율성과 안전성을 동시에 확보하며, 인코딩 방식의 비행계획 연관 MRT 데이터 포맷을 사용함으로써 네트워크 사용률을 감소시킨다. 구현 모듈은 독립형 연관 방식에 비해 네트워크 사용량이 8.54~12.11% 낮았으며, 네트워크 공정성이 8.37~11.27% 높은 것을 확인하였다.

  • This study analyzed and derived a plan to reduce fuel consumption of domestic aircraft. Specifically, this study tested fuel consumption in the short-distance flights of B737. Fuel consumption was calculated by substituting the simulation variable values into Matlab. The strength of this study is that the actual operating environment was reflected by collecting the B737 flight data. As a result of the study, the domestic fuel consumption rate in the computed flight plan was less than the current fuel consumption rate. Existing limitations of this study is that it was difficult to reflect the various variables constituting the flight environment, and thus there can be errors in the measurement of the fuel consumption. There are two major expected applications from this study. First, applying the plans from this study will lead to a reduction in the amount of fuel and thus provide positive economic effects for commercial airlines. Second, the plan from this study will provide a basis for pilots to predict fuel consumption more accurately. In conclusion, this study proposes a fuel saving plan with useful applications for pilots and airlines.

비행정보구역(Flight Information Region)의 효율적 관리를 위한 개선방안 연구 : 이어도(IEODO) 상공을 중심으로 (A Study on Ways of Improvement to Effectively Control the Flight Information Region focusing on air space of IEODO)

  • It is well known some Foreign aircraft used to fly INCHEON FIR(Flight Information Region), especially the island of IEODO without a flight plan, even though foreign aircraft is subject to submitting a flight plan to Flight Information Center(FIC) before its flight. IEODO is a sunken rock 4.6m beneath the sea level, 149km away from Marado. Facing the Yangtze river's sea entrance horizontally and military zones of Korea and China vertically, IEODO is a very important place for national security of North East Asia because it is located at the boundary between China East Sea and Yellow Sea of South Korea. Moreover, JDZ(the 7th mine lot) is just 77NM from IEODO, which possesses natural gas eight times bigger than the gulf region and oil 4.5 times bigger than that of the U.S. In addition, INCHEON FIR, managed by MLTM(Air Traffic Control Center) and Japanese Self-Defense Force's JADIZ(Japanese Air Defense Identification Zone) are overlapping on IEODO whose air space is very complex. This paper focuses on air space, FIR, ADIZ(Air Defense Identification Zone) and related airspace system and suggests strategic implications of how to prevent foreign aircraft from invading INCHEON FIR without permission and of how to utilize the airspace efficiently.
