시각적 평가에 의한 개더 드레이프 형상 분석 (Analysis of Types of Gather Drape with Visual Evaluation)

  • Gathering is method used to control fullness along a seam line. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the quantitative research and qualitative method; the effect of gather and the types of gather drape. The experimental design consists of four factors: (l) three kinds of different weight and thickness of fabrics (2) three kinds of stitch densities (3) five kinds of ratio of gathers (4) three kinds of grain directions. Therefore one hundred thirty five (135) samples were made. And utilized SPSS WIN 10.0 Package in data analysis. The results of this study were as follows; First, after frequency analysis, side height, hem line width, node depth, node count, node width accorded with these result data recording. Second, after correlation analysis, side height related with front statements. Side height and entire visual was negative correlation. Hem line width, node depth, node count with section statements was negative correlation but node width at section statements was positive correlation. Third, after $k^2$ analysis, front picture parts getting excellent evaluation were 1st side height, 3rd hem line width, 4th node depth, 3rd node count, 3rd node width. And section illustration parts getting excellent evaluation were 4th side height, 1st hem line width, 2nd node depth, 3rd node count, 4th node width.

Korean Female Adolescents' Food Attitudes and Food Intake Relative to the Korean Food Tower (II) : Food Attitudes

  • The food attitudes of 285 Korean female students attending a secondary school in Seoul were examined with respect to the 5 food groups of the Korean Food Tower : grain products, vegetables and fruits, meat, milk, and fats and sweets. An instrument with 22 items was utilized to measure food attitudes toward the five food groups. The items were categorized into five factors through factor analysis to obtain a description of the participants' food attitudes. The five factors are conscious choice of food, health concerns, economics and time influence, interest in foods, and foods that energize. Several facts emerged from examining the food attitudes. The most evident was their response to the items concerning the influence of economics and time on food choice, which the majority consider not limiting their food consumption. Most participants gave favorable responses for vegetables and fruits on all the five factors, but gave unfavorable responses for meat group and fats and sweets in health concerns. They also gave favorable responses for“foods that energize”for all except fats and sweets. Four of the total 25 relationships among food intake (five groups) and food attitudes (five factors) were found to have significant positive correlations (p < .01). 황해 남동해역 표층퇴적물 중 수종 금속원소의 분포 특성에 관한 연구 (Distribution of Some Metallic Elements in Surface Sediments of the Southeastern Yellow Sea.)

  • 황해 남동해역에서 채취한 97개 표층퇴적물을 대상으로 그 지화학적 특성을 규명 하기 위하여 철, 망간, 니켈, 구리 및 납의 5가지 금속원소 함량과 아울러 퇴적물의 입도와 탄산염 함량 등이 분석되었다. 분석된 금속원소 중 니켈과 구리는 퇴적물 입도 와 밀접한 상관관계를 나타내어 그 공간적 분포는 입도분포와 유사하게 나타났다. 이 와는 대조적으로 망간과 납의 경우는 입도와의 관련성이 미약하였으며, 전반적으로 한 국 연안에 인접한 시료에서 높은 함량이 나타났다. 한편, R-mode 요인분석 결과도 니 겔과 구리의 함량을 조절하는 요인이 망간이나 납의 함량을 조절하는 요인들과 구별됨 을 보여주었으며, 금속원소의 행동과 분포에 있어 이렇게 상반된 결과가 나타나는 현 상은 퇴적후 속성작용 및 환경오염물질 유입의 영향에 기인한 것으로 해석되었다. 이 에 근거하여 이들 금속원소들의 비가 서로 다른 기원의 세립물질들을 구분하는 특징으 로 이용될 수 있는 가능성이 제시되었다.

Effects of Long-Term Application of Rice Compost on Rice Yields and Macronutrients in Paddy Soil

  • A long-term experiment was carried out to examine the effects of compost on the long-term trends and synergy effects with chemical fertilizer and saving the chemical fertilizers of paddy cropping. The experiment was conducted for the past 36 years with constant amounts of N, P, K and compost in a paddy field at Milyang, South Korea. Grain yield was significantly increased in the plots with compost application. Twenty five years after the compost treatment, grain yield was significantly increased and it reached almost 90% of NPK plots. The effect of rice straw compost on grain yield was not clear during the early cropping years about 60%, but it slightly increased there after about 95% during the late five years. In compost plots, soil organic matter content, K and $SiO_2$ was greater in the compost applied plots than with application of recommended doses of NPK. However, soil pH was reduced in compost applied plots and Ca, and Mg were remained unchanged when compared to the application of recommended doses NPK. Soil nutrient contents were less in compost applied plots than with the application of recommended doses of NPK along with compost but was found to be increased than that of un-fertilized plots. The present study indicated that the application of rice straw compost with NPK is the best of all and followed by NPK and Compost. However, treatment of Compost is time consuming and hard working desired and eventually non economical practice in mechanized agricultural systems, even though Compost is very useful source of improving the soil fertility and its physical characteristics and also the application of inorganic N and P are essential for sustaining high yield.

우리나라 곡물류 생산량에 기상요소의 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on Effects of Meteorological Elements in the Grain Production of Korea)

  • Recent climate change has led to fluctuations in agricultural production, and as a result national food supply has become an important strategic factor in economic policy. As such, in this study, panel data was collected to analyze the effects of seven meteorological elements on the production of five types of grain with error component panel data regression method following the test results of LM tests, Hausman test. The key factors affecting the production of rice were average temperature, average relative humidity and average ground surface temperature. The fluctuations in the other four grains types are not well explained by meterological elements. For other grains and beans, only average temperature and time (year) affect the production of other grains while average temperature, ground surface temperature, and time (year) influence the production of beans. For barley and millet, only average temperature positively affects the production of barley while ground surface temperature and time (year) negatively influence the production of millet. The implications of this study are as follow. First, it was confirmed that the meteorological elements have profound effects on the rice production. Second, when compared to existing studies, this study was not limited to rice but encompassed all five types of grains and went beyond other studies that were limited to temperature and rainfall to include various meteorological elements.

어린이급식관리지원센터에서 제공하는 어린이집 식단의 식품군 및 음식군 다양성에 관한 기술연구 (Food and dish group diversity on menus of daycare centers provided by Center for Children's Foodservice Management in Korea: a descriptive study)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to analyze menu patterns and food group diversity in daycare centers managed by the Center for Children's Foodservice Management in South Korea. Methods: Data from 18 Center for Children's Foodservice Management centers across various provinces (excluding Jeju Island) were analyzed. We examined 8,796 meals served in February, May, August, and December 2021, focusing on seasonal lunch and snack menus for children aged 3-5. Foods were categorized into 19 groups for lunch and 21 for snacks. The frequency of food groups and dietary patterns were assessed using the Dietary Diversity Score. Analyses were conducted using Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS Statistics version 28. Results: Most lunch menus (89%) included five menu items, with a ratio of grain, meat, and vegetables at 88%. Snack menus typically had one item (57%), with significantly more items in the afternoon compared to the morning (P < 0.001). Regarding snack patterns, 75.2% of morning snacks and 61.1% of afternoon snacks contained only one solid food and drink (P < 0.001). Fruit and milk (22.4%) was the most prevalent pattern in morning snacks, while grain and milk (31%) dominated afternoon snacks (P < 0.001). Only 48% of daycare center menus (all snacks and lunch) included all five food groups (grain, meat, vegetables, fruit, and milk). Notably, only 83% included milk and 57% included fruit. Conclusions: These findings highlight the need to improve food variety and diversity in the Center for Children's Foodservice Management-managed daycare center menus. Developing more detailed guidelines for menu structure and food composition is crucial to ensure children receive balanced and diverse nutrition.

춘.추파성 소맥품종들의 생육 및 수량성분석 (Analyses of Growth and Developmental Patterns and Subsequent Grain Yield of Selected Winter and Spring Wheat Cultivars Triticum aestivum L. em Thell)

  • 벼-밀, 밀-콩 또는 밀-참깨 작부체계에 알맞은 밀품종 육성을 위한 육종 전략수립에 기초정보를 제공하기 위하여 육성배경, 유전 및 생태적 특성이 상이한 추.춘파성 소맥 10품종을 1개월 간격으로 5회 파종하였다. Zadoks등(1974)의 Growth Stage Code를 이용하여 이 품종들의 생장단계별 기간 및 수량성에 대하여 비교 분석하였다. 본 시험은 미국 오레곤주 주립대학교에서 실시되었으며 그 결과의 개요는 다음과 같다. 1. 추파성품종 조광과 춘파성 품종 중국81호는 간신장기에서 출수기까지의 기간이 짧았으나 등숙기간이 길었다. 추파성품종 Yamhill과 Hyslop은 간신장기에서 출수기까지의 기간이 긴 반면 등숙기간이 짧고 종실수량이 높았다. 2. 추파성품종이 춘파성품종에 비하여 환경변이에 대한 반응이 컸고 품종$\times$환경 상호작용이 있어 파종기에 대한 추.춘파성 품종들의 반응도 크게 달랐다. 3. 간신장기에서 시작하여 성숙기까지 춘.추파성 품종간에 큰 차이가 있었다. 특히 간신장기는 파종기 및 품종간에 가장 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 4. 따라서 추.춘파성 품종간 교배에 의하여 조숙다수성 품종 육성이 가능하고 이모작재배에 알맞은 우량개체 및 계통 선발을 위하여 분리집단을 2~3회 파종하고 개체 선발을 간신장기부터 시작하는 것이 선발효율을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 육성지역의 작부시기에 알맞는 개체 및 계통을 선발할 수 있을 것이다.

다양한 잡곡 추출물의 살균.살충활성 (Fungicidal and insecticidal activities of various grain extracts against five insect pests and six phytopathogenic fungi)

  • 21종 잡곡류의 메탄올 추출물을 대상으로 기주식물상의 온실실험조건에서 6종의 주요 식물병원균의 방제효과 및 5종의 해충에 대한 살충효과를 조사한 효과는 잡곡류의 종류에 따라 커다란 차이를 보였다. 21종의 공시시료를 5 mg/pot 농도로 처리하였을 때 개보리 (E. sibiricus)와 늘보리 (H. vulgare var. nudum)는 벼도열병 및 보리흰가루병, 참깨 (S. indicum (W))와 밀 (T. aestivum)은 밀녹병과 보리흰가루병에 대하여 80% 이상의 방제효과를 나타냈다. 5종의 주요해충에 대한 살충효과는 2,500 ppm의 농도로 처리할 때 메밀 (F. esculentum)은 복숭아혹진딧물, 쇠보리 (I. crassipes), (O. sativa var. glutinosa), 기장 (P. miliaceum), 조 (S. italica), 수수 (S. bicolor) 및 밀 (T. aestivum)은 점박이응애에 대하여 80% 이상의 살충효과를 나타냈다. 그러나, 실험에 사용된 잡곡류는 토마토역병, 배추좀나방 및 담배거세미나방에 대해서는 거의 활성이 없거나 활성이 낮았다. 이상의 결과로부터 벼도열병, 밀녹병 및 보리흰가루병 등에 높은 방제효과를 보인 상기 잡곡 추출물들은 식물병 방제제로서 사용 가능성이 예상되었으며, 또한 복숭아혹진딧물 및 점박이응애에 강한 살충효과를 보인 추출물은 해충방제에 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대되었다.

Determination and Effects of N and Si Fertilization Levels on Grain, Quality and Pests of Rice after Winter Green-house Water-melon Cropping

  • In Korea, rice cultivars have been changing to 'quality' rice rather than high yielding cultivars. However, more than 10% of paddy field has been changed to greenhouse in winter season for cropping of water-melon, oriental-melon, straw berry and et cetra. This experiment has been made to identify the usefulness of critical N and Si fertilization(SF) level to obtain high grain quality rice with reduced insect pest damage by N and SF combination. Before the experiment, watermelon-rice cropping system was maintained for three seasons by farmer from 1998 to 2001. The experiment of N and Si (silicate) fertilization levels was evaluated with Hwayoung-byeo (Oryza sativa L., medium-maturing variety) in 2002 and 2003 in Uiryeong, Korea. Nitrogen fertilization (NF) levels were three and five in 2002 and 2003, respectively, and three SF levels were compared for getting the valuable N/SF level in both years. TOYO-value was positively affected by Si application in N100% plot but it was negatively related with NF level. Normal grain percentage was positively related with TOYO-value and it was highest in 0N plot and Si plots in N100%. Other appearance qualities like powdered, damaged, and cracked grain, were decreased with increasing N fertilization level. SF improved appearance quality in N100% plots but no effects in other treatments. Leaf sheath related diseases were significantly decreased by SF but it was negatively related with NF. In conclusion, SF could be improve grain quality at the same yield levels of conventional fertilization and it also could be reduce the diseases damages of rice plant in all N treatments. NF treatment reduced grain quality and improved grain yield at N50% level, however NF above N50% could not get any kind of benefits. So, compared with conventional fertilizer, reduced NF level is recommended for high grain quality with reduced insect pest damage.

Identification and characterization of QTLs and QTL interactions for Macro- and Micro-elements in rice (Oryza sativa L.) grain

  • Improvement of the macro- and micro-elements density of rice (Oryza sativa L.) is gradually becoming a new breeding objective. In this study, the genomic regions associated with potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron content in rice grain were identified and characterized by using a doubled haploid (DH) population. Fifty-six simple sequence repeat (SSR) and one hundred and twelve sequence tagged site (STS) markers were selected to construct the genetic linkage map of the DH population with a full length of 1808.3cM scanning 12 rice chromosomes. Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were detected, and QTL effects and QTL interactions were calculated for five traits related to macro- and micro-elements in the DH population from a cross between 'Samgang' (Tongil) and 'Nagdong' (Japonica). Twelve QTLs were located on five chromosomes, consisting of two QTLs for potassium, three QTLs for calcium, two QTLs for magnesium, one QTL for iron content and four QTLs for the ratio of magnesium to potassium (Mg/K). Among them, qca1.1 was detected on chromosome 1 with an LOD value of 8.58 for calcium content. It explained 27% of phenotype variations with increasing effects from 'Samgang' allele. Furthermore, fifteen epistatic combinations with significant interactions were observed on ten chromosomes for five traits, which totally accounted for 4.19% to 12.72% of phenotype variations. The screening of relatively accurate QTLs will contribute to increase the efficiency of marker-assisted selection (MAS), and to accelerate the establishment of near-isogenic lines (NILs) and QTL pyramiding.
