The purpose of this study is to study the perceptions and attitudes of various married couples(non-violent couples, violent couples, indicted couples) on the Domestic Violence Acts, and collect opinions on the legal treatment of indicted couples, especially on Protection Orders and criminal punishment. The questionnaires included 542 couples residing in Pusan and 50 indicted couples in various major cities of Korea. The major results were as follows: First, couples in general understood well the Domestic Violence Acts, and their history of domestic violence did not affect their knowledge on the Acts. Second, the attitudes of the husbands on Domestic Violence Acts were affected by whether or not they had inflicted violence on their wives. Husbands who have a history domestic violence, but were not arrested and indicted had negative attitudes on the in- tervention of the police. They also did not want to call the police for assistance. However, they showed positive attitudes towards programs aimed at preventing domestic violence. Third, the attitudes of wives on Domestic Violence Acts were not associated with experienced domestic violence. Fourth, indicted couples felt that Protection Orders were necessary and they were willing to follow the Protection Orders set forth by public prosecutors. Victimized wives wanted another form of sentencing rather than a fine, and they wanted to have their opinions heard when their spouse was arrested and when sentencing took place.
We investigated five ciliate species from soil, estuary and marine habitats in eastern Gangwon-do Province, South Korea. Morphology was studied through observation of living specimens as well as silver preparations. The species were classified into five genera, five families, five orders and four classes. Aspidisca aculeata, Hemiurosoma similis, Litonotus alpestris, Stentor roeselii and Vorticella infusionum are first records in Korea, and among them, the genus Hemiurosoma is recorded for the first time. Here, we provide short descriptions with microphotographs of these species.
In this paper, we study a bargaining order problem where one buyer sequentially bargains with two sellers whose reservation prices are unknown to the buyer but correlated. Our main question is who the buyer should bargain first with to maximize his expected payoff. This type of problem is widely applicable to business and political situations where one party negotiates with multiple parties sequentially. One of the most important element in a sequential bargaining is "linkage effect" which exists when the aggreement of the previous bargaining affects the outcome of the following bargaining. To examine "linkage effect", we assume that the sellers'objects are similar so that the sellers' reservation prices are correlated. In addition, to consider incomplete information aspect regarding reservation prices, it is assumed that the sellers' reservation prices are unknown to the buyer. That is, we deal with one sided incomplete information case. In our model, there are two stages in each of which the buyer meets one seller. Since we are concerned with the bargaining order, we consider two different bargaining orders. Using game theory, we find a perfect Bayesian equilibrium and compute the buyer's expected payoff for each bargaining order. Finally we identify the advantageous bargaining order for the buyer by comparing the expected payoffs obtained under two different bargaining orders. Our results are as follows: the advantageous bargaining order depends on the prior probability of the seller type. However, in general, the buyer should bargain first with the seller whose object is less valuable to the buyer. The basic reason for our result is that the buyer wants to experiment in the first stage to find out the sellers' reservation prices and in doing so, to minimize the experimental cost and maximize potential gain in case of negotiation failure in the first stage. in the first stage.
The setting of the factory under this study is as the following. There are multiple assembly lines. Each line can handle any of given set of products. Furthermore each line is capable of assembling several products concurrently, i.e. mixed model assembly line. An incoming production order is characterized by its due-date, product type and quantity. Under this setting we first have to select the starting time and the place(assembly line) for an order to be processed. We also have to devise a way to control orders to be manufactured as scheduled. Finally there should be a mean to reschedule orders when something unexpected happens. This paper offers a scheme that provides the above mentioned necessities. It also provides a case where the scheme is applied.
A scheme based on the cryptography for enforcing multilevel security in a system where hierarchy is represented by a partially ordered set was first introduced by Akl et al. But the key generation algorithm of Akl et al. is infeasible when there is a large number of users. In 1985, MacKinnon et al. proposed a paper containing a condition which prevents cooperative attacks and optimizes the assignment in order to overcome this shortage. In 2005, Kim et al. proposed key management systems for multilevel security using one-way hash function, RSA algorithm, Poset dimension and Clifford semigroup in the context of modern cryptography. In particular, the key management system using Clifford semigroup of imaginary quadratic non-maximal orders is based on the fact that the computation of a key ideal $K_0$ from an ideal $EK_0$ seems to be difficult unless E is equivalent to O. We, in this paper, show that computing preimages under the bonding homomorphism is not difficult, and that the multilevel cryptosystem based on the Clifford semigroup is insecure and improper to the key management system.
A study on the distribution and community structure of the benthic macroinvertebrates on the intertidal zones of Gapa and Mara islets were carried out from March to June 1991. The macroinvertebrates collected and identified were composed of 7 phyla, 14 classes, 29 orders, 68 families and 132 speies in Gapa islet and of 7 phyla, 12 classes, 23 orders, 49 familis and 90 species in Maara islet. The first and second dominant species and the community dominance indices of the upper tidal zones of Gapa and Mara islets were Nodilittorina exigua, Pollicipes mitella and 79.01, 69.77 respectively. However, the dominant species of the middle and lower intertidal zones of the two islets were not identities and different among the tidal zones.
A family of quasi-interpolatory wavelet system was introduced in [10], extending and unifing the biorthogonal Coiffman wavelet system. The corresponding refinable functions and wavelets have vanishing moment of a certain order (say, L), which is a key property for data representation and approximation. One of main advantages of this wavelet systems is that we can get optimal smoothness in the sense of smoothing factors in the scaling filters. In this paper, we first discuss the biorthogonality condition of the quisi-interpolatory wavelet system. Then, we study the properties of the scaling and wavelet filters, related to the polynomial reproduction and the vanishing moment respectively, which in fact determines the approximation orders of biorthogonal projections. In addition, we discuss the approximation orders of the wavelet projections.
This research was an evaluation of the fish fauna and the habitat for Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis (B. lenok tsinlingensis) for 11 stations at the Bonghwa-gun sanctuary. The predominant species in this research area was Zacco koreanus. B. lenok tsinlingensis, which has been designated as an endangered freshwater fish in Korea, was found in the Bonghwa sanctuary zone, except at stations 5 and 6. The B. lenok individuals were shorter in length than 400 mm. In total, 13 endemic species were found, including Coreoleuciscus splendidus and Iksookimia longicorpus. Specimens of Koreocobitis naktongensis, a first grade endangered species, were also collected. The benthic macroinvertebrates consisted of four divisions, four classes, seven orders, 30 families, 60 species, and 10,344 individuals and were distributed among the orders Ephemeroptera (55.9%), Diptera (18.2%), Trichoptera (12.4%), Plecoptera (2.1%), and Odonata (0.3%).
In this paper, we analyze the inventory and inspect cost of small-to-medium-sized enterprises which are getting orders from large enterprises using JIT(just in time) system. So far, we have not found the good inventory and inspect cost formula for the small-to-medium-sized enterprises. In this paper, we first survey the inventory and inspect strategy and cost formula of the small-to-medium-sized enterprises in this country. We are trying to mathematical modelling of several cases depending on the inventory and inspect strategy of large enterprises. We suggest inventory and inspect several cost formula by using the method minimizing the total cost of the small-to-medium-sized enterprises. We also give some numerical examples for your understanding.
Some hyromedusae were collected from Korean waters with Issacc-Kidd Midwater trawl net or by SCUBA diving during the period from May 2001 to Nov. 2005. They were identified into 14 species of 11 families in six orders. Of these, the following six species are new to Korean fauna: Olindias formosa (Goto, 1903) and Proboscidactyla stellata (Forbes, 1846) of the order Limnomedusae; Aglantha digitale ($M\ddot{u}ller$, 1776) and Rhopalonema velatum Gegenbaur, 1854 of the order Trachymedusae; Solmundella bitentaculata (Quoy and Gaimaud, 1833) and Aegina citrea Eschscholtz, 1829 of the order Narcomedusae. The order Narcomedusae and the families Rhopalonematidae and Aeginidae are first recorded in Korean waters. As a result of the present study, the Korean hydromedusae consist of 26 species of 19 families in six orders so far.
