Successful delayed-interval delivery performed 128 days after the vaginal delivery of the first fetus in a twin pregnancy

  • There has been a significant increase in the number of multiple pregnancies that are associated with a high risk of preterm delivery among Korean women. However, to date, delayed-interval delivery in women with multiple pregnancy is rare. We report a case of delayed-interval delivery performed 128 days after the vaginal delivery of the first fetus in a dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy. The patient presented with vaginal leakage of amniotic fluid at 16 weeks of gestation and was diagnosed with a preterm premature rupture of membranes. Three days later, the first twin was delivered, but the neonate died soon after. The second twin remained in utero, and we decided to retain the fetus in utero to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with a preterm birth. The patient was managed with antibiotics and tocolytics. Cervical cerclage was not performed. The second twin was delivered vaginally at 34 weeks and 5 days of gestation, 128 days after the delivery of the first-born fetus. This neonate was healthy and showed normal development during the 1-year follow-up period. Based on our experience with this case, we propose that delayed-interval delivery may improve perinatal survival and decrease morbidity in the second neonate in highly selected cases.

  • Purpose: Delivery food continues to grow. In the past, restaurant companies directly hired delivery workers to deliver food, but now, restaurant companies use delivery service platform companies to carry out delivery work rather than directly hiring delivery workers. Therefore, this study seeks to determine the impact of delivery food benefits in the restaurant industry on brand image, trust, and word-of-mouth intention. Research design, data, and methodology: To test the hypotheses of this study, 400 questionnaires were distributed and 340 were collected. Among these, 321 questionnaires, excluding 19 questionnaires that were answered insincerely, were used in the final analysis. Result. First, delivery food benefits were found to have a significant impact on brand image and trust. Second, brand image was found to have a significant effect on trust and word-of-mouth intention. Third, trust was found to have a significant effect on word-of-mouth intention. Conclusions: First, existing research focused on studying the attributes of delivery food in the restaurant industry, but this study studied the benefits that consumers can obtain through purchase among these attributes. Second, delivery food restaurants need to design promotions and advertisements in a way that displays coupons, points, or mileage. Third, quick delivery of orders can be a competitive advantage for delivery food restaurants.

IMPACTS OF DESIGN-BUILD DELIVERY SYSTEM ON THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN TAIWAN

  • Although the design-build (DB) delivery system has been taking great strides in the world and relevant researches have also been quite abundant, few studies have dealt with its potential impacts on the construction industry as a whole. This research first identified the potential entry barrier factors, which may hinder the market access, based on the theory of industrial economics and characteristics of DB project. Then through a nation-wide questionnaire survey involving 103 construction contractors and engineering consultants, the influences of each factor on company's competitiveness and corporate strategies were scrutinized, and consequently, the evolution of the construction industry was examined. It is found that as opposed to the traditional design-bid-build delivery system, the DB delivery system elevates competitive advantages of large organizations in terms of the financial capability, working experience, human resource, and administrative strength, and among them, the financial strength was concluded to be the most significant force in differentiating corporate strategies and widening the gap of competitiveness between companies. It is inferred if the government extensively adopts DB delivery system, large organizations that already possess the competitive advantage tend to obtain both design and construction abilities, and dominate the DB market. Small and medium sized companies will find little room to maneuver and be forced to become specialty sub-contractors.

분만에 대한 여대생의 태도유형 (Attitudinal Type on Delivery for College Women)

  • This study was formed to propose a theoretical background trying to create a positive delivery experience by understanding college women's subjective accounts (their view and attitude) on delivery. Method: Q- methodology was used to appreciate the highly abstract concept in an objective manner, since delivery can be assessed differently with each experience. Result: There were three types of opinions about the delivery in college women. The first type (matured type) understood delivery to be a precious experience that enables women to gain the value of life through labor pain, and granted then more appreciation to their own mothers. The second type (will type) recognizes delivery as an option rather than an obligation for women. They think women chooses whether or not to experience the process, especially since delivery requires a great deal of responsibility. The third type (positive type) takes delivery as a valuable, worthwhile, and marvelous process that they wish to experience. They are not even afraid of giving birth multiple times. Conclusion: The study explains and allows us to understand college women's overall opinion and attitudes about delivery. Thus this study aids the seizure of an opportunity to build a theoretical base for delivery management.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study to explore factors consumers prioritize when purchasing seafood online. The originality of the study lies on adopting AHP-based approach in analyzing prioritized purchasing factors of seafood online. Design/methodology/approach - A survey was conducted targeting Korean consumers who have purchased seafood online. AHP method was applied to rank factors consumers prioritize before making decision. Findings - First, product's factor ranked first among other high level factors including delivery service, seller, online platform. Second, sanitation, taste, country of origin ranked first, second, third respectively, within product's factors. Third, safe delivery, timeliness, information accuracy ranked first, second, third respectively, within delivery factors. Fourth, consumer reviews, consumer response ability, promotion ranked first, second, third within seller factors. Fifth, Personal information management system, credibility, user-friendliness ranked first, second, third, within online platform factors. Research implications or Originality - To activate seafood online market, it is crucial to assure consumers that the seafood is well managed in a sanitary way from the production site to table. Existing government programs such as seafood traceability system, HACCP, and cold-chain infrastructure needs improvement. Due to highly perishable characteristic of seafood, delivery factors matter when purchasing online. Online platforms needs to continue to improve delivery service. Seafood products are mostly not branded and without objective information about their properties. Creating quality classification and seafood brands are likely to help consumers chose seafood online.

군집 기반 트럭-드론 배송경로 모형의 효과분석 (Analysis of Cluster-based Truck-Drone Delivery Routing Models)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the fast delivery route that several drones return a truck again after departing from it for delivery locations at each cluster while the truck goes through the cluster composed of several delivery locations. The main issue is to reduce the total delivery time composed of the delivery time by relatively slow trucks via clusters and the sum of maximum delivery times by relatively fast drones in each cluster. To solve this problem, we use a three-step heuristic approach. First, we cluster the nearby delivery locations with minimal number of clusters satisfying a constraint of drone flight distance to set delivery paths for drones in each cluster. Second, we set an optimal delivery route for a truck through centers of the clusters using the TSP model. Finally, we find out the moved centers of clusters while maintaining the delivery paths for the truck and drones and satisfying the constraint of drone flight. distance in the two-dimensional region to reduce the total delivery time. In order to analyze the effect of this study model according to the change of the number of delivery locations, we developed a R-based simulation prototype and compared the relative efficiency, and performed paired t-test between TSP model and the cluster-based models. This study showed its excellence through this experimentation.

  • This paper is concerned with Vehicle Routing Problem to minimize the total delivery waiting time of customers. The delivery waiting time is the time taken to travel from the depot to the customer, which is important for the delivery of the perishing products or foods requiring freshness. We construct a mixed integer linear programming formulation of this problem, and CR(Clustering first Routing second) heuristic and SPH(set partitioning heuristic) are suggested. the results of computational experiments showed that these heuristics find successfully favorable solutions, in much shorter time than optimal.

Understanding postal delivery areas in the Republic of Korea using multiple unsupervised learning approaches

  • Changes in household composition and the residential environment have had a considerable impact on the features of postal delivery regions in recent years, resulting in a large increase in the overall workload of domestic postal delivery services. In this paper, we provide complex analysis results for postal delivery areas using various unsupervised learning approaches. First, we extract highly influential features using several feature-engineering methods. Then, using quantitative and qualitative cluster analyses, we find the distinctive traits and semantics of postal delivery zones. Unsupervised learning approaches are useful for successfully grouping postal service zones, according to our findings. Furthermore, by comparing a postal delivery region to other areas in the same group, workload balancing was achieved.

부분무치악 환자에서 기능하중노출이 골유착성 임플란트 주위의 치조골 소실에 미치는 영향에 관한 방사선학적 연구 (RADIOGRAPHIC EVALUATION OF BONE CHANCE AROUND OSSEOINTEGRATED IMPLANTS IN PARTIALLY EDENTULOUS JAWS WITH FIXED TISSUE-INTEGRATED PROSTHESES)

  • This paper reports marginal bone loss around osseointegrated implants after loading in partially edentulous patients in dental hospital, Yonsei University. Two types of implants($Br{\aa}nemark^{TM},\;IMZ^{TM}$) were used. Through the digital measurement on periapical radiograph around 37 implants in human subjects, marginal bone loss was observed for 24 months after delivery of prostheses. The results were as follows; 1. According to experimental periods marginal bone loss in total implants was 1.775 mm at 12 months, 1.921 mm at 24 months after delivery of prostheses(p<0.05). 2. Marginal bone loss in the $Br{\aa}nemark$ implants was 1.831 mm at 12 months, 1.833 mm at 24 months after delivery of prostheses(p<0.05). 3. Marginal bone loss in the IMZ implants was 1.578 mm at 12 months, 2.907 mm at 23 months after delivery of prostheses(p<0.05). 4. During the first year after loading, the IMZ implants showed less marginal bone loss than the $Br{\aa}nemark$ implants but, during the next the $Br{\aa}nemark$ implants showed less than the IMZ implants(p>0.05). These results indicate that marginal bone loss around osseointegrated implants occurs within the first 12 months after delivery of prostheses and stabilizes thereafter, so it is necessary to be careful of using dental implants for the first year after delivery of prostheses.

지주막하강 수펜타닐과 뷰피바케인의 혼합 투여가 분만 제 1 기 산모의 진통 효과에 미치는 영향 (The Analgesic Efficacy and Side Effects of Subarachnoid Sufentanil-Bupivacaine on Parturients in Advanced Labor)

  • Background : Previous studies have proven beneficial in labor analgesia to use subarachnoid sufentanil(alone or with adjuvant) on parturients in early first stage of labor. We designed this prospective study to evaluate analgesic efficacy and side effects of subarachnoid sufentanil plus bupivacaine in women with cervical dilatation of 7 cm greater. Methods : This was an open-label, nonrandomized trial of 32 parturients in late first stage labor who requested labor analgesia. After signing the consent form each patient received subarachnoid sufentanil (10 ${\mu}g$) and bupivacaine (2.5 mg). Patients were asked to rate their verbal pain score (0-10 scale) before regional anesthesia and 5 minutes after subarachnoid injection, and every 20 minutes thereafter until delivery or request for additional analgesia. Blood pressure, pruritus, Bromage motor block score, mode of delivery and need for supplemental analgesics were recorded. Results : Thirty women were included in the study. Mean pain scores (mean${\pm}$SD) were $8.7{\pm}1.0$ pre-spinal, $0.7{\pm}1.5$ 5 minutes post-injection, and remained less than 5 for 130 minutes after spinal injection. Of 30 patients, 24 had unassisted vaginal delivery, 4 instrumental vaginal delivery (vacuum), and 2 cesarean delivery. Of 28 patients who delivered vaginally, 19 did not require supplemental analgesics and had a delivery pain score of 5 or lower. Blood pressure decreased in three patients after spinal analgesia (p<0.05), which necessitated treatment. The Bromage motor block score was 0 in 26 patients and 1 in 4 patients. Pruritus was noted in 22 patients. Conclusion : Subarachnoid sufentanil-bupivacaine provides rapid analgesia for an effective duration of approximately 130 minutes in parturients in late first stage of labor.
