  • Recently, the plans and constructions of atrium are prevalent widely. But. in the case of atrium it has many problems from the viewpoint of space properties of atrium. Therefore, planning of fire protection is required urgently. The purpose of this study is to analysis the fire properties on the several heights of atrium through three models which the ratio of atrium's width to height is 1:1, 1:1.5 and 1:2 respectively.

  • Large fires continue to spread throughout the building, including the fire in Uijeongbu in 2015, the fire in Jecheon in 2017, and the fire in Miryang in 2018. According to the above fire case investigation, major problems were the fire resistance performance of compartment members such as fire doors, the fire spread due to damage to exterior wall openings, and smoke spread through vertical openings. However, in South Korea, only specification design is implemented for buildings that are not subject to performance design. In addition, the analysis of the fire resistance performance standards of building members in the specification design showed that fire doors were not specified in detail for 60 minutes of insulation performance and 60 minutes of fire resistance performance of E/V doors, limiting the prevention of fire spread. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to prepare measures to prevent the spread of fire by presenting simple transplants for calculating the required fire time according to the architectural design conditions for the performance design of the components of the fire room according to the purpose of use of the front of the building.

  • Fire safety provisions have to be determined through Performance -based design in many project. There is a need for quick estimation of evacuation time for scenario analysis in hazard assessment. The key equations on estimating evacuation time have to be known. In Japan There are many experience of PBD according to the Architectural law. It is the aim of this study to investigate the PBD case of Evacuation in Japan for PBD Approach of Korea.

  • This study aims to investigate cases of using FDS fire investigation performed in a foreign country, use of FDS for the fire investigation to present the plan to clean up the problems and ways to improve future domestic. To be applied to the fire investigation establish the model of fire growth and domestic situation analysis through case studies and examples of this foreign, domestic flammable thermal characteristics data for exterior and interior windows and on the thermal properties of the experimental the purpose is to improve.

  • In Korea, in the case of fire scenarios in performance design, it is assumed that the sprinkler is not working. In addition, it does not applicate various fire conditions. Therefore it is not enough that the accuracy about fire scenario. In foreign countries, reseach is being conducted to predict the casualities that can occur due to fire in the building space through statistical risk analysis. Also, research is consistently conducting for design that consider the sprinker probability of operation. Therefore, to analyze the fire risk of each building in Korea, the risk was analyzed using statistical data. As a result, the risk of casualties that can occur for each building use was analyzed as 0.6(persons/cases) for residential buildings, 0.25(persons/cases) for sales facilities, and 0.12(persons/cases) for buisiness facilities.

전자공장 화재의 다수 사상자 발생원인 분석 (Analysis of the Causes of Multiple Casualties in an Electronics Factory Fire)

  • 2018년 8월 21일 15시 40분경 발생한 전자공장화재로 9명이 사망하고 6명이 부상을 입는 인명피해가 발생하였다. 이 논문에서는 이 전자공장화재에서 다수 사상자가 발생한 원인을 화재조사결과 등을 토대로 구체적으로 분석하고 있다. 다수 사상자가 발생한 주요 원인은 자동화재탐지설비 기능 정지, 비상방송시설 기능 정지, 4층 천장의 우레탄폼 착화로 인한 급격한 화재 확산, 화재발견 직후 정전 발생, 스프링클러설비 미작동, 화재신고 지연, 소방시설관리 업체의 소방시설관리 부실 등으로 분석하였다.

  • 현재 국내 건설현장에서 안전관리가 중요해지고 있다. 안전관리가 중요함에도 건설현장의 사고는 꾸준히 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 안전사고 중에 화재사고는 건설현장의 공기지연이나 작업 계획에 부정적인 영향뿐만 아니라 크나큰 인명피해까지 야기한다. 따라서 이번 연구의 목적은 건설현장 화재발생사례를 통해 건설현장 화재발생 요인을 추출하고, 요인 분석을 통해서 예방우선순위를 정하여 화재예방에 기여하려는 것이다. 연구 방법으로는 사례를 통한 화재요인을 선정하고, 전문가 집단을 통해 설문조사를 실시 후 AHP기법을 통해 설문을 분석한다. 전문가 집단의 설문조사를 AHP기법으로 분석한 결과는 작업자와 작업자의 하위 항목들이 상위항목들을 차지하였다. 따라서 화재예방을 위한 우선순위를 제시하였으며, 본 연구를 통해 도출된 순위별 요인들을 우선순위에 따라 통제, 관리, 활용한다면 보다 효과적인 화제예방을 이룰 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

화재 발생 지하철 역사에서의 여객 대피 해석에 관한 연구 (A Numerical Study on Passengers' Evacuation in a subway station in case of Fire Occurrence)

  • In the present study, a numerical simulation of passenger evacuation in a subway station was performed. Algorithm for passenger flow analysis based on DEM(Discrete Element Method) has been improved to simulate passenger flow in detailed geometry. The effect of grid density was assessed in the present study to show the advantage of using finer grid in the simulation. The method of coupling passenger flow and fire simulation has also been investigated to analyze passenger evacuation flow under fire. In this method the CO distributions in the subway station was used to assess fire hazards of passenger by means of FED(Fractional Effective Dose) model. Using the coupled algorithm a simulation for passenger evacuation flow and fire analysis were performed simultaneously in the simplified subway station. This algorithm could be used in the design of subway station for the purpose of passengers' safety in case of fire.
