  • Stable-state behaviors of asynchronous sequential machines represented as finite state machines can be corrected by feedback control schemes. In this paper, we propose a state feedback control scheme for input/state asynchronous machines with uncertain transitions. The considered asynchronous machine is deterministic, but its state transition function is partially known due to model uncertainty or inner logic errors. The control objective is to compensate the behavior of the closed-loop system so that it matches a sub-behavior of a prescribed model despite uncertain transitions. Furthermore, during the execution of corrective action, the controller reflects the exact knowledge of transitions into the next step, i.e., the range of the behavior of the closed-loop system can be enlarged through learning. The design procedure for the proposed controller is described in a case study.

  • NPC in game is an important factor to increase the fun of the game by cooperating with player or confrontation with player. NPC's behavior patterns in the previous games are limited. Also, there is not much difference in NPC's ability among the existing games because it's designed to FSM. Therefore, players who have matched with NPCs which have the characteristics may have difficulty to play. This paper is for improving the problem and production and evaluation of the game NPC behavior model based on wolves hunting model in real life. To achieve it, first, the research surveys and studies behavior states for wolves to capture prey in the real world. Secondly, it is implemented using the Unity3D engine. Third, this paper compares the implemented state transition probability to state transition probability in real world, state transition probability in general game. The comparison shows that the number of state transitions of NPCs increases, proportions of implemented NPC behavior patterns converges to probabilities of state transition in real-world. This means that the aggressive behavior pattern of NPC implemented is similar to the wolf hunting behavior pattern of the real world, and it can thereby provide more player experience.

  • To analyze the transient state of an induction motor, there have been studies for using the magnetic equivalent circuit method (MECM) instead of the time differential finite-element method, MECM which analyzes magnetic equivalent circuits after converting each part of an electric machine into the magnetic circuit elements. has the merits of short calculation-time and comparatively accurate results. To analyze an electric machine with MECM, we have to replace stator and rotor with the magnetic elements and express the air gap, where electromechanical energy conversion takes place, with the permeance. So in this paper, to analyze an Induction Motor with MECM, we express the magnetic equivalent circuit as algebraic equations and then as the matrix for solving easily them.

  • This paper examines the effect of the magnetization pattern on the partial demagnetization of a permanent magnet (PM) machine that uses a ferrite magnet. Although the use of halbach-magnetized PM (HMPM) arrays in PM machines has been dramatically increasing because of their attractive features, the demagnetization characteristics of HMPM arrays have not yet been examined. In this study, two analyses of the demagnetization characteristics of HMPM arrays and parallel magnetized PMs (PMPMs) are performed, with the demagnetization characteristics being analyzed using a finite element method. According to our results, partial demagnetization occurred dramatically in the HMPM arrays. Thus, it is important to consider the vulnerability of HMPM arrays when designing PM machines.

In particular, all relations are formed with matrixes to solve Mathematically them in the programming process later. As a result, this theory will be the basis on the static and dynamic analysis of an Induction Motor.

  • Iterative detection (ID) has proven to be a near-optimal solution for concatenated Finite State Machines (FSMs) with interleavers over an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. When perfect channel state information (CSI) is not available at the receiver, an adaptive ID (AID) scheme is required to deal with the unknown, and possibly time-varying parameters. The basic building block for ID or AID is the soft-input soft-output (SISO) or adaptive SISO (A-SISO) module. In this paper, Reduced State SISO (RS-SISO) algorithms have been applied for complexity reduction of the A-SISO module. We show that serially concatenated CPM (SCCPM) with AID has turbo-like performance over fading ISI channels and also RS-A-SISO systems have large iteration gains. Various design options for RS-A-SISO algorithms are evaluated. Recently developed density evolution technique is used to analyze RS-A-SISO algorithms. We show that density evolution technique that is usually used for AWGN systems is also a good analysis tool for RS-A-SISO systems over frequency-selective fading channels.

  • As modem industrialized society progresses, the demand for electric power is increasing rapidly. The electric power system is getting amazingly bigger and complicated, which can easily induce serious troubles from the potential of large fault problems and/or system failure. The monitoring and diagnosis of the electric machine for the fault detection and protection has been important part in the electric power system. Most faults in the generator appear in the winding. This paper presents the air-gap magnetic flux characteristic of a small-scale 2-pole synchronous generator according to the faults in the field winding to protect the generator from the fault. The magnetic flux patterns in air-gap of a generator under various fault conditions as well as a normal state are simulated by using finite element method. These results are successfully applied to the detection and diagnosis of the short-circuit condition in rotor windings of a high capacitor generator.

  • Measuring the residual stress in the components in nuclear power plants is crucial to their safety evaluation. The instrumented indentation technique is a minimally invasive approach that can be conveniently used to determine the residual stress in structural materials in service. Because the indentation behavior of a structure with residual stresses is closely related to the elastic-plastic behavior of the indented material, an accurate understanding of the elastic-plastic behavior of the material is essential for evaluation of the residual stresses in the structures. However, due to the analytical problems associated with solving the elastic-plastic behavior, empirical equations with limited applicability have been used. In the present study, the impact of the non-equibiaxial residual stress state on indentation behavior was investigated using finite element analysis. In addition, a new nonequibiaxial residual-stress prediction methodology is proposed using a convolutional neural network, and the performance was validated. A more accurate residual-stress measurement will be possible by applying the proposed residual-stress prediction methodology in the future.

  • In this ppaer, fault coverage analysis of a conformance test case for communication protocols, specified as a deterministic finite state machine(DFSM) is presented. The fault coverage analysis of a test case is defined by measuring the extent of the faults detected using a generated test case. The method that evaluates fault coverage analysis for a test case, has been researched by arithmetic analysis and simulation. In this paper, we designed and implemented a simulator for fault coverage analysis of a communication protocol teat case. With this result for Inres protocol, output fault and state merge and split fault have a high fault coverage of 100%. This simulator can be widely used with new fault coverage analysis tools by applying it to various protocols.

  • The rapid development of computer technology and widely application of artificial intelligent provide technology support for realizing navigation automation on the sea. which has achieved great success in shipping advanced countries like japan, England, America, Germany and also in the developing country, China. However, it still remains in the studying Period up to now in aspects of collision avoidance decision-making mathematical model and reasoning mechanism. In this paper, approaches are proposed to establish the collision avoidance automation system. One of them is based on the former studies to realize automation system by make use of finite state machine theory and following the International regulations for Preventing Collision at Sea, 1972. The others are to establish the new idea about automatic collision avoidance system by taking advantage of the free flight idea, hybrid system, game theory used in air traffic management studies in recent years and the common characteristics in both air and sea traffic management.
