In an advanced modern society, among air pollutants caused by urban industrialization and public transportation, fine dust flows into indoors from the outdoors. The fine dust meter used indoors provides limited information and measures the pollution level differently, so there is a problem that users cannot monitor and monitor the data they want. To solve this problem, in this paper, indoor air quality data fine dust and ultra-fine dust (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10), VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) are used to measure fine dust. and a monitoring system were designed and implemented. We propose a fine dust meter and monitoring system that is installed in a designated area to measure fine dust in real time, collects, stores, and visualizes data through App Engine of Google Cloud Platform and provides it to users.

Researchers recognized air pollution changes causing diseases and difficulties in living due to environmental pollution following various human activities, and have studied how to avoid fine dust harmful to the human respiratory system to be healthy. To this end, Arduino is used to equip fine dust level sensors in drones to measure the fine dust levels, visualize the measurements with LED indicator colors depending on the measurements to inform users of the danger of fine dust, and use the benefits of drones to specify dangerous fine dust zones and measure the fine dust levels. Users can see the changes depending on the fine dust levels in real time with the LED indicators. This will contributes to measuring fine dust levels easily in dangerous areas. Mission Planner (ArduPilot) is used to set up the GPS of drone, and store the data from the dust sensor as contents. This study aims to establish a method for improving the environment to measure fine dust levels with drones with LED indicators for fine dust, and reduce fine dust.

In addition to yellow dust occurring in China, fine dust has become a hot topic in Korea through news and media. Although there is fine dust generated from the outside, the purchase rate of air purifier products is increasing as external fine dust flows into the inside. The air purifier uses a filter internally, and the sensor notifies the user through the LED alarm whether the filter is replaced. However, there is currently no product measuring how much the filter rate is reduced and determining the pressure of the blower to operate. Therefore, in this paper, data are generated directly using Arduino, fine dust sensor, and differential pressure sensor. In addition, a program was developed using Python programming to calculate how old the filter is and to analyze the wind power of the blower according to the filter rate by calculating the measured dust and pressure values.

This study attempted to analyze the environmental equity of fine dust(PM10) in Daegu using MGWR(Multi-scale Geographically Weighted Regression) and KT(Korea Telecom Corporation) sensor data. Existing national monitoring network data for measuring fine dust are collected at a small number of ground-based stations that are sparsely distributed in a large area. To complement these drawbacks, KT sensor data with a large number of IoT(Internet of Things) stations densely distributed were used in this study. The MGWR model was used to deal with spatial heterogeneity and multi-scale contextual effects in the spatial relationships between fine dust concentration and socioeconomic variables. Results indicate that there existed an environmental inequity by land value and foreigner ratio in the spatial distribution of fine dust in Daegu metropolitan city. Also, the MGWR model showed better the explanatory power than Ordinary Least Square(OLS) and Geographically Weighted Regression(GWR) models in explaining the spatial relationships between the concentration of fine dust and socioeconomic variables. This study demonstrated the potential of KT sensor data as a supplement to the existing national monitoring network data for measuring fine dust.

Recently, as interest in air quality in vehicles increases, the use of fine dust detection sensors for air quality measurement is becoming common. An axial-flow fan is inserted in the fine dust sensor installed in the air conditioning system in the vehicle to prevent dust from sinking directly on the sensor. When the sensor operates, the flow noise caused by the rotation of the axial-flow fan acts as a major noise source of the fine dust sensor. flow noise is recognized as one of the product competitiveness of fine dust sensors. In this study, the noise was gradually reduced at the same flow rate by improving the flow performance of the small axial flow fan. First, a virtual fan performance tester consisting of about 20 million grids was developed to analyze the aerodynamic performance of the target small axial-flow fan. In addition, the flow field was simulated by using compressible Large Eddy Simulation for direct computation of flow noise as well as high-accurate prediction of flow rate. The validity of numerical method are confirmed through the comparison of predicted results with experimental ones. After the effects of pitch angle on flow performance were analyzed using the verified numerical method, the pitch angle was determined to maximize the flow rate. It was found that the flow rate was increased by 8.1 % and noise was reduced by 0.8 dBA when the axial-flow fan with the optimum pitch angle was used.

Recently, according to the severity of air pollution, interest in air pollution is increasing. The IoT based fine dust monitoring system proposed in this paper allows the measurement and monitoring of fine dust, volatile organic compounds, carbon dioxide, etc., which are the biggest causes affecting the human body among air environmental pollution. The proposed system consisted of a device that measures atmospheric environment information, a server system for storing and analyzing measured information, an integrated monitoring management system for administrators and smart phone applications for users to enable visualization analysis of atmospheric environment information in real time. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed fine dust monitoring system based on the Internet of Things was verified by using the response speed of the system, the transmission speed of the sensor data, and the measurement error of the sensor. The fine dust monitoring system based on the Internet of Things proposed in this paper is expected to increase user convenience and efficiency of the system by visualizing the air pollution condition after measuring the air environment information with portable fine dust measuring device.

Due to the rapidly increasing number of cars and power generation, environmental pollution caused by fine dust is becoming a serious social problem. Especially fine dust becomes an important issue nowadays. More than 50 countries are suffering from fine dust above the recommended level, and each affected country is studying the measures to reduce fine dust and minimize its occurrence. However, at present, it is difficult to collect fine dust data from the various points with fixed fine dust acquisition drones, and also to collect accurate data due to the influence of rotating blades even in the existing drone method. In this paper, we propose a method for collecting fine dust using drones and a sensing parts architecture and show its effectiveness.
The international concern on the inhalable fine dust is continuing to increase. In addition to the toxic properties of the fine dust itself, it can be more dangerous than other environmental factors since the dust pollution is hard to be detected by human sense. Although the information on outdoor air condition can be acquired easily, the indoor dust concentration is another problem because the indoor air condition is influenced by the architectural environment and human activity. It means occupants may be exposed to indoor dust pollution over a long period without being aware. Therefore the indoor dust concentration should be measured separately and visualized as an intuitive information. By visualizing, the indoor dust concentration in each space can be recognized practically in compare with the degree of pollution in adjacent spaces. Besides the visualization outcome can be used as base data for related research such as an analysis of the relation between indoor dust concentration and architectural environment. Meanwhile, with the development of network and micro sensing devices, it became possible to collect wide range of indoor environment data. In this regards, this paper suggests a system for visualization of indoor dust concentration and demonstrates it on an actual space.

In this study, there are regional limitations for the fine dust data provided by public data to represent the wide area air quality. It is about a method that can provide detailed data in a specific area beyond location restrictions. The goal of this implementation is to mount the IoT-based fine dust sensor on a quadcopter that can fly autonomously beyond the positional limitations of the current measuring station, which is fixed, and quickly move the fire-generating area and the area of rapid fine dust to make detailed measurements. Through this, the system is designed and implemented to enable the fundamental analysis of the occurrence. We designed a QDMS system and proposed a method to measure detailed changes in fine dust at a specific location through manufacturing and experiments.
In this paper, the fine dust (PM10) and ultrafine dust (PM2.5) measurement platforms are designed to be mobile and fixed using oneM2M, the international standard for IoT. The fine dust measurement platform is composed and designed with a fine dust measurement device, agent, oneM2M platform, oneM2M IPE, and monitoring system. The main difference between mobile and fixed is that the mobile uses the MQTT protocol for interconnection between devices and services without blind spots based on LTE connection, and the fixed uses the LoRaWAN protocol with low power and wide communication range. Not only fine dust, but also temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, volatile organic compounds (VOC), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and noise data related to daily life were collected. The collected sensor values were managed using the common API provided by oneM2M through the agent and oneM2M IPE, and it was designed into four resource types: AE and container. Six functions of operability, flexibility, convenience, safety, reusability, and scalability were analyzed through the fine dust measurement platform design.
