  • Recently, in the course of business processes a variety of abuse cases of fax documents is common in general corporate, government, and financial institutions. To solve this problem, it is necessary for a technique to prevent falsification of fax documents. In this paper, we propose a new fax sender verification technique based on pattern analysis to prevent falsification of fax documents only using the received fax document. In the proposed technique, the fax sender is verified by analyzing the communication signal patterns between the fax sender and receiver and image pattern in the received fax document. In this paper, we conduct the experiments that apply our technique to real-world fax systems, and then tamper-proof effects were confirmed from the experimental results.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the perception of nurse experts on the contribution of nursing interventions to Nursing Outcomes Classification NOC nursing outcomes. A nursing outcome is a nursing-sensitive patient outcome primarily affected by nursing interventions. As one of the standardized language systems of nursing outcomes, the NOC must be examined for applicability before it is used in Korea. Data were collected in February and March 2003 using a 5-point Likert scale. For data collection, 230 quality improvement (QI) or quality assurance (QA) nurses from general hospitals in Korea were asked to rate the extent that nursing interventions contribute to each of the NOC nursing outcomes (2000) in their hospitals. Ninety-six nurses from 63 hospitals responded and the response rate was $41.7\%$. Mean scores for perception of contribution of nursing interventions to each of the NOC nursing outcomes ranged from 2.18 to 4.54. Vital Signs Status had the highest score (M = 4.54), and Abuse Recovery: Financial, the lowest score (M = 2.18). Of the seven NOC domains, the mean score was highest for Physiologic Health (M = 3.91) and lowest for Community Health (M = 2.92). Of the 29 NOC classes, the mean score for perceived contribution was highest for Metabolic Regulation (M = 4.32) and lowest for Community Well-Being (M = 2.92). Participants perceived that nursing interventions in general hospitals in Korea contributed, at least to a certain extent, to most of the NOC nursing outcomes. Based on these results, NOC should have relatively good applicability in Korea.

  • The purpose of this paper is to review critically the validity and relevance of the pan-national language culture improvement movement, Annyeong! Urimal(Hello! Our Language) implemented for the last three years as part of the government-driven projects, and to seek for improvement direction or fundamental reorientation of this movement. In order to accomplish this purpose, this paper firstly points out abstract and conventional aspects of the diagnosis for background and the purpose of projects, and suggests that this movement focuses on verbal abuse rather than language destruction and pays attention to positive aspects of newly rising language use. Then, with reference to main agent, this paper argues that the government must lead actively formation of voluntary nongovernmental agent with indirect financial and institutional support. Thirdly, it is suggested that public language should be the top priority target sphere and the language used by the leaders of society and the older generation should be also included in the target spheres of this movement. Finally, this paper indicates that enlightenment/public relation projects end often in one time events, imposing unilaterally the normative contents, and also emphasizes the importance of survey/research projects and deliberation/evaluation projects.

  • A primary objective the Conjoint Building Program(CBP), as articulated in the legislation proceedings as to stimulate renewal and regeneration of old deteriorated districts. By allowing the transfer of development rights between two lots located within 100m radius or the same block surrounded by 12m wide streets, CBP encourages reconstruction of old buildings with low investment value by linking it to another lot that can buy its unused floor area ration. Most of the debates and studies prior to the introduction of the new legislation focused on possible abuse in financial terms, and little research has been done to illustrate possible merits of deficiencies in term of urban morphological influences. This study offers a visual prediction of the various ways CBP can influence an urban block by reshaping and reorganizing it thrown augmented development rights to assess the pros and cons of the current program.

  • Bankruptcy is one of the major areas that have attracted the interest of many researchers in the American system, particularly in terms of the laws that oversee it. It provides a plan of reorganization that enables the debtor or the proprietor to discharge liabilities to the creditors through dividing the assets to settle debts. This activity is carried out under supervision to fairly protect the interests of the creditors. Bankruptcy protection systems are dynamic and complex in nature, in line with the economic sector, ensuring the protection of affected individuals from falling into huge losses. Some bankruptcy procedures give the debtor the opportunity to stay in operation or business activity and benefit from revenues until the debt is settled. This law allows some debtors to be relived from any financial burden after the distribution of assets, even if the debt is not paid in full. In light of the above information, this research paper seeks to explore the nature of the complexity of bankruptcy protection laws, their characteristics, and the justice system that regulate them. It also sheds more light on the decision-making powers on bankruptcy cases. There are specialized courts that cover bankruptcy cases located in district courts in every state.

  • As a pioneering study on wife rape, this study focuses on identifying the prevalence, the correlates of the individual social class and domestic violence background, and the perception of wife rape. This study uses the data based on the survey 224 married men and women who reside in Daegu, Korea. The result of this study shows that about 42.4% married men have experienced any type of wife rape. The most prevalent wife rape is force only wife rape(36.4%). Battering rape(12.1%) and sadistic rape(10.4%) are also found as significant coercive sexual issue among Korean couples. Monthly income and child abuse experience are found as significant predictors for the wife rape of married men. In addition, wife's religious enthusiasm is also negatively correlated with wife rape propensity, although the effect is not strong. The living standards is found as a strong correlate of women's propensity of being raped from their husbands. Thus, our practical attention should be given to those who have financial difficulties in low economic status, and to those who have significant child abuse experience, in order to prevent wife rape. Overall, married men and married women show pretty negative perceptions of wife rape, however, some of them are still positive of it. It is interesting that married men show a very defensive attitude against the proposal of establishing legal punishment for the people who commit wife rape. According to the gender, there is a considerable difference between men and women in terms of both the degree of acceptance of, and the demand for legal punishment of wife rape. It is problematic that the married women with a greater experience of being raped by husbands show far greater tolerance of wife rape than those with a less experience of it. These findings give us significant practical implications for social work intervention.

  • As a consequence of geophysical surveys for large-scale constructions and ground investigations, huge amount of geophysical data are collected. However, due to the lack of the systematic management of such data, most of them are used temporarily and kept in dead storage, which in turn leads the abuse of social properties. To propose the solution of this kind of problem, geophysical data are kept in database using geographical information system (GIS). The introduction of GIS in geophysical data management allows the efficiency in data management and user-friendliness in data access. This data management system is especially appropriate for the many geological companies and the government organizations in systematic data management and sharing so that the time ,md financial expenses are greatly reduced. This system even provides the basic data services for the efficient development and conservation of the surface and underground spaces.

The importance of reviewing medical expenses has been emphasized, as the size of medical expenditures moving through the health insurance legal context and its weight in the national economy have increased very rapidly. It is, however, analyzed that the feuds and arguments continue among the stakeholders for the lack of laws supporting the medical expenses review system. The medical expenses review is a series of administrative procedures, deciding whether claims from medical care institutions to the insurer are legal and valid or not. It mainly controls the increase of unnecessarily excessive health insurance claim and prevents fraudulent claim and abuse and checks the less use or unsuitable use of medical resources. It also works a function guarantees medical benefits for the appropriate treatment according to the object of health insurance system as a social insurance scheme. The dispute on legal base of the medical expenses review is about the source of law in the medical expenses review. There are the Health Insurance Act and administrative laws as jus scriptum and the guidelines of review as administrative orders. The medical expenses review should reflect various factors, such as the development of medical healthcare technologies, the health expenditures distribution, the financial situation of the health insurance, and the evaluation on the level of appropriate benefits. It is also likely to adapt to the traits of characters of medicine, and trends and transition, Besides it should judge the legality and the validity of medical benefits expenditures by synthesizing these all factors. And the evaluation system of appropriateness of medical benefits was administrative procedure which was consecutive with reviewing the medical expenses system and it was intended to make up for the result of reviewing the medical expenses in more comprehensive levels.
