Currently, the method of user-follwoing in intelligent cooperative robots usually based in vision system and using Lidar is common and have excellent performance. But in the closed space of Corona 19, which spread worldwide in 2020, robots for cooperation with medical staff were insignificant. This is because Medical staff are all wearing protective clothing to prevent virus infection, which is not easy to apply with existing research techniques. Therefore, in order to solve these problems in this paper, the ultrasonic sensor is separated from the transmitting and receiving parts, and based on this, this paper propose that estimating the user's position and can actively follow and cooperate with people. However, the ultrasonic sensors were partially applied by improving the Median filter in order to reduce the error caused by the short circuit in communication between hard reflection and the number of light reflections, and the operation technology was improved by applying the curvature trajectory for smooth operation in a small area. Median filter reduced the error of degree and distance by 70%, vehicle running stability was verified through the training course such as 'S' and '8' in the result.

An FM radio based PCL system is a passive radar technique for detecting the multiple moving targets from FM radio signals and tracking the trajectories of the targets by calculating the cross-correlation function of direct-path signal and target echo signals. However, the interference signals are received from a surveillance channel, which is designed to receive the target echo signals. Because of this problem, the target echo signals are masked by the strong interference signals and this makes it difficult to detect the true targets from the cross-correlation function. Adaptive filters are known as effective methods for suppressing the interference signals but there is a problem to present their accurate performances in the PCL system because many literatures used the cross-correlation function and the ratio of input and output power as a measure of the performance analysis. In this paper, a performance analysis method is proposed to evaluate the performance of interference cancellation algorithms. By using the property that each component of the filter weight vector is adjusted to suppress the specific interference signal, a performance measure of the interference signal suppression is defined by a function of adaptive filter weights. Based on the proposed method, we compare the performance of the adaptive filters used in the PCL system. Simulation results show that the proposed method can be very effective for evaluating the performance of interference cancellation algorithms.
Surface wave techniques were initially based on 2-D plane waves and were later improved to the techniques based the 3-D based cylindrical waves. However, body-wave interference, near-field effect and limited technology in surface wave measurements restricted the use of 3-D cylindrical waves to the 1-D evaluation of subgrade stiffness. In this study, by the numerical simulation of SASW measurements, the dispersion properties of surface waves including vertical, horizontal Rayleigh waves and Love waves were thoroughly investigated in the 3-D domain, and a new filter criteria to minimize the near-field effect was established, which led to CAP (common-array-profiling)-SASW technique. The CAP-SASW technique enabled the evaluation of subgrade stiffness fur a specific subgrade segment, not for a whole section of measurement array. Therefore, a contour plot of subgrade stiffness with a ground-truth quality can be obtained by the CAP-SASW technique. The procedure proposed in this study was verified by comparing the shear-wave velocity profiles with the shear-wave velocity profiles of downhole testing at two geotechnical sites.
Recently XML is becoming a de facto standard for online data exchange between heterogeneous systems and also the research of streaming XML data filtering comes into the spotlight. Since streaming XML data filtering technique needs rapid matching of queries with XML data, it is required that the query processing should be efficiently performed. Until now, most of researches focused only on partial sharing of path expressions or efficient predicate processing and they were work for time and space efficiency. However, if containment relationship between queries is previously calculated and the lowest level query is matched with XML data, we can easily get a result that high level queries can match with the XML data without any other processing. That is, using this containment technique can be another optimal solution for streaming XML data filtering. In this paper, we suggest an efficient XML data filtering based on prime number indexing and containment relationship between queries. Through some experimental results, we present that our suggested method has a better performance than the existing method. All experiments have shown that our method has a more than two times better performance even though each experiment has its own distinct test purpose.

In conventional video coding, the complexity of encoder is much higher than that of decoder. However, as more needs arises for extremely simple encoder in environments having constrained energy such as sensor network, much investigation has been carried out for eliminating motion prediction/compensation claiming most complexity and energy in encoder. The Wyner-Ziv coding, one of the representative schemes for the problem, reconstructs video at decoder by correcting noise on side information using channel coding technique such as turbo code. Since the encoder generates only parity bits without performing any type of processes extracting correlation information between frames, it has an extremely simple structure. However, turbo decoding errors occur in noisy side information. When there are high-motion or occlusion between frames, more turbo decoding errors appear in reconstructed frame and look like Salt & Pepper noise. This severely deteriorates subjective video quality even though such noise rarely occurs. In this paper, we propose a computationally extremely light encoder based on symbol-level Wyner-Ziv coding technique and a new corresponding decoder which, based on a decision whether a pixel has error or not, applies median filter selectively in order to minimize loss of texture detail from filtering. The proposed method claims extremely low encoder complexity and shows improvements both in subjective quality and PSNR. Our experiments have verified average PSNR gain of up to 0.8dB.

The necessity of transmitting video data over a narrow-bandwidth exists steadily despite that video service over broadband is common. In this paper, we propose a scalable video coding framework for low-resolution video transmission over a very narrow-bandwidth network by super-resolution of decoded frames of a base layer using a convolutional neural network based super resolution technique to improve the coding efficiency by using it as a prediction for the enhancement layer. In contrast to the conventional scalable high efficiency video coding (SHVC) standard, in which upscaling is performed with a fixed filter, we propose a scalable video coding framework that replaces the existing fixed up-scaling filter by using the trained convolutional neural network for super-resolution. For this, we proposed a neural network structure with skip connection and residual learning technique and trained it according to the application scenario of the video coding framework. For the application scenario where a video whose resolution is $352{\times}288$ and frame rate is 8fps is encoded at 110kbps, the quality of the proposed scalable video coding framework is higher than that of the SHVC framework.
This paper proposes an observation probability smoothing technique for the robustness of a discrete hidden Markov(DHMM) model based speech recognizer. Also, an appropriate noise robust processing in car environment is suggested from experimental results. The noisy speech is often mislabeled during the vector quantization process. To reduce the effects of such mislabelings, the proposed technique increases the observation probability of similar codewords. For the noise robust processing in car environment, the liftering on the distance measure of feature vectors, the high pass filtering, and the spectral subtraction methods are examined. Recognition experiments on the 14-isolated words consists of the Korean digits and command words were performed. The database was recorded in a stopping car and a running car environments. The recognition rates of the baseline recognizer were 97.4% in a stopping situation and 59.1% in a running situation. Using the proposed observation probability smoothing technique, the liftering, the high pass filtering, and the spectral subtraction the recognition rates were enhanced to 98.3% in a stopping situation and to 88.6% in a running situation.
Though there have been many methods to detect features in spatial domain, in the case of a compressed image it has to be decoded, processed and encoded again. Alternatively, we can manipulate a compressed image directly in the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) domain that has been used for compressing videos or images in the standards like MPEG and JPEG. In our previous work we proposed a model-based discontinuity evaluation technique in the DCT domain that had problems in the rotated or non-ideal discontinuities. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy filtering technique that consists of height fuzzification, direction fuzzification, and forty filtering of discontinuities. The enhancement achieved by the fuzzy tittering includes the linking, thinning, and smoothing of discontinuities in the DCT domain. Although the detected discontinuities are rough in a low-resolution image for the size (8${\times}$8 pixels) of the DCT block, experimental results show that this technique is fast and stable to enhance the qualify of discontinuities.

Recently there is sharply increasing interest in watching and creating video contents such as YouTube. However, creating such video contents without privacy protection technique can expose other people in the background in public, which is consequently violating their privacy rights. This paper seeks to remedy these problems and proposes a technique that identifies faces and protecting portrait rights by blurring the face. The key contribution of this paper lies on our deep-learning technique with low detection error and high computation that allow to protect portrait rights in real-time videos. To reduce errors, an efficient tracking algorithm was used in this system with face detection and face recognition algorithm. This paper compares the performance of the proposed system with and without the tracking algorithm. We believe this system can be used wherever the video is used.

The KMTNet Supernovae Project utilizes the large $2^{\circ}{\times}2^{\circ}$ field of view of the three KMTNet telescopes to search and monitor supernovae, especially early ones, and other optical transients. A key component of the project is to build a data pipeline with a descent latency and an early alerting system that can handle the large volume of the data in an efficient and a prompt way, while minimizing false alarms, which casts a significant challenge to the software development. Here we present the current status of their development. The pipeline utilizes a difference image analysis technique to discover candidate transient sources after making correction of image distortion. In the early phase of the program, final selection of transient sources from candidates will mainly rely on multi-filter, multi-epoch and multi-site screening as well as human inspection, and an interactive web-based system is being developed for this purpose. Eventually, machine learning algorithms, based on the training set collected in the early phase, will be used to select true transient sources from candidates.
