근접전계 시험 기법을 활용한 Ka-대역 배열안테나 성능 검증 (Performance verification of Ka-Band Array Antenna using Near-Field Test Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 근접전계 시험을 수행하여 Ka 대역 밀리미터파 탐색기용 도파관 광벽 슬롯 배열 안테나의 성능 검증을 수행하였다. 슬롯 배열 안테나의 측정은 원전계, 근접전계 시험을 모두 수행하고 비교하여 밀리미터파 대역의 근접전계 시험의 유효성을 확인하였다. 검증을 수행한 슬롯 배열 안테나의 빔폭 및 부엽 준위를 포함한 빔 패턴 특성이 동일함을 확인하였다. 방위각, 고각 빔패턴의 부엽준위 차이는 1dB 이내로 검증되었다. 추가로 back-projection 기법을 활용하여 근접전계 데이터를 가공한 후 안테나 개구면의 분포를 새롭게 추출하여 배열 안테나 성능 분석을 수행하는 방법에 대하여 소개하였다.

평판형 ER-Valve의 성능실험에 관한 연구 (Study on Performance Test of Plate Type ER-Valves)

  • Hydraulic valve control the pressure and the How of fluid by the hydraulic oil transfered from pump but the ER fluid consists of solid particles of micrometer in size and insulating oil so in the general hydraulic valve. We invented ER-Valve using ER fluid as working fluid. The ER fluid, working fluid of ER-Valve is a functional fluid to represent the feature of fluid according to strength of electric field. In this research we made our own 4 types of plate type ER-Valve which has same surface but different width and length and then we conducted performance test. We measured flow rate and pressure drop of fluid which is flowing in the ER-Valve according to the electric field strength to conduct this test. We modeling ER-Valve relating to ER-Valve system and yield shear stress according to the strength of electric field. We used the pressure drop according to the strength of electric field by differential pressure gauge in the our own made ER-Valve. This test reviewed experimental the special changes of ER-Fluid in the steady flow condition.

열상장비 전단증폭부 정비용 ATE의 구현 (Implementation of ATE to Maintain Pre-Amplifier of Thermal Imaging System)

  • 본 논문에서는 열상장비의 광 검출기에서 검출된 미약한 전기적 신호를 영상신호처리를 하기 위한 신호로 증폭을 해 주는 전단 증폭부의 성능 검사용 ATE(Automatic Test Equipment)를 개발하였다. 기존 ATE 장비는 주로 반도체 소자 양품검사 분야에서 활발히 개발되고 있었으나 최근에는 장비의 성능검사 분야에서도 연구되고 있다. 그러나 열상장비 성능검사 분야의 ATE 에 대한 연구는 다른 분야에 비해 미진하여 우리군의 핵심적인 감시 장비인 열상장비는 정비가 제한되었다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 새로운 열상장비 분야의 ATE 연구가 필요하여 전단증폭부 및 열상장비의 다른 회로카드의 범용적인 개발이 가능하도록 Matrix Relay를 개발하였다. 개발된 ATE로 전단증폭부의 증폭도를 측정한 결과 증폭 전압은 평균 2.71 Vpp로써 이론적인 분석 범위 내에 있음이 확인되어 개발된 ATE가 우수한 성능임이 검증되었다.

  • Superior performance of field consistent eight-node hexahedron element in static bending problems has already been demonstrated in literature. In this paper, its performance in free vibration is investigated. Free vibration frequencies of typical test problems have been computed using this element. The results establish its superior performance in free vibration, particularly in thin plate application and near incompressibility regimes, demonstrating that shear locking, Poisson's stiffening and volumetric locking have been eliminated.

  • For the purpose of the acoustic performance evaluation of noise reduction device(NRD) installed at the top of noise barrier for further decreasing of noise level of 400km/h class high-speed railroad(HEMU), the acoustic performance test method using speaker instead of really running railway vehicle was suggested in this paper. For this, noise source location and frequency spectrum of HEMU was analyzed through the field noise test. These data were used for the determination of speaker's installation positions and frequency correction values applied to the speaker noise source. And, 400 meters long NRD was installed at the site where HEMU will be running at a speed of 400km/h. Finally, the outdoor speaker test with and without NRD showed that this NRD could decrease noise level even more than 3dB(A). In the future, the acoustic performance results of NRD conducted with speaker test will be compared with that of field test for HEMU running at a speed of 400km/h.

  • Because of power consumption increase, global wanning, and limitation of installation, not only high reliability and interruption capability but also compact and light power apparatuses are needed. To improve the insulation performance, the high E field concentration phenomena was considered. Breakdown mechanism in vacuum is different from that in other insulation materials. therefore, It is necessary to understand the electric field distribution and insulation characteristics. This paper discusses the simulation and LI(light impulse) test of the shield of outside vacuum interrupter As a result, FEM simulation and LI test show that improve distribution of electrical field and equi-potential line. due to external shield. in this case, outside shield induced electric field of triple junction point.

  • Performance of a four- wheel tractor fabricated by Tongyang Moolsan Co., Ltd, Korea was tested in Thailand during May-June 2000. Wheel slip and field capacity were measured in three fields using different traction devices and implements. The tractor worked satisfactorily in the test conditions. Wheel slip of 26.05-33.63 % and the field capacity of 0.17 - 0.20 ha/hr were observed during plowing operation. Further tractive performance tests using a three-point linkage configuration are recommended in Thailand field conditions. Different designs of cage wheels are recommended to be tested to optimize the tractive performance.

  • This paper analyzes optimal stirrer parameter to improve field uniformity in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber. Stirrer parameter is varied about stirrer height and stirrer angle. Also we analyze quality factor, number of excited modes and stirrer efficiency that affect field uniformity. The results show good performance as higher as stirrer height. Isotropic field distribution is formed at $45^{\circ}$ stirrer angle. When stirrer angle varies, scattering characteristic of incident wave are changed. So electric field distribution in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber is also changed. Therefore, it affect field uniformity. The results expect to help that designs stirrer for get better field uniformity. Immunity test performed designed mode-stirred reverberation chamber for semiconductor that categorized by technology. Test result shows that good recurrence compared wave-guide immunity test.

축광노면표시의 실내 및 현장 휘도 성능분석과 디지털이미지를 이용한 휘도분석 사전연구 (Performance Analysis of Laboratory and Field Luminance for Phosphorescent Line Marking and Preliminary Study of Luminance Analysis Using Digital Images)

  • OBJECTIVES : Visibility at night can be improved by using retroreflection for short distances and phosphorescent line markings for long distances. In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of the phosphorescent line marking through a laboratory luminance test. Field performance analysis was performed through tests conducted on the road. We also examined the luminance measurement methods using the digital image obtained during the phosphorescent visibility evaluation. METHODS : In this study, the laboratory luminance test of the phosphorescent line marking was conducted using seven specimens to characterize the luminance changes according to the type of the glass beads, the thickness of the phosphorescent line marking, and the brightness and irradiation time of the light source. Phosphorescent and general line markings were made at 150 m to investigate the field luminance performance. A preliminary review of the luminance measurement methods was made using a digital image from a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera. The measured luminance ratio of the general and the phosphorescent line markings was compared with the calculated luminance ratio using luminance analysis. RESULTS : Through the laboratory luminance test, it was seen that the change in luminance, which corresponds to the brightness of the light source, appears large but the influence of the thickness and irradiation time is low. The field performance test of the phosphorescent line marking conducted on the road involved measuring the luminance on the day the marking was made and 7 days after the marking was made. The luminance was found to be $190mcd/m^2$ at 30 min after sunset and approximately $10-12mcd/m^2$ 4h after sunset. The results of the luminance test were captured using a digital image for each time group. The luminance ratio of the phosphorescent line marking, when compared to that of the general line marking, showed a similar trend within a 13% maximum error. Additionally, when this luminance ratio is compared to the direct field measurement, it could be confirmed that the luminance ratio, as captured in the digital image, showed a similar tendency. CONCLUSIONS : 1) The change in luminance corresponding to the brightness of the light source is significant in comparison with that corresponding to the thickness and the irradiation time. In addition, the results of the field test for the phosphorescent line marking satisfied the phosphorescent fire protection standard. 2) We examined the validity of the luminance measurement method using a digital image and we concluded that the change in the luminance ratio shows a similar tendency in both the cases. The results can form the basis for luminance measurement methodology for the construction and maintenance of phosphorescent line markings.

동력차용 브레이크슈의 제동성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on the braking performance of a brake shoe for power car)

  • In this paper, we investigated the braking performance of a composite brake shoe for power car. Laboratory bench test and field tests were carried out to characterize the braking performance by the parameters such as friction coefficient, wear rate, braking temperature and stopping distance. Density distribution was found to have a significant influence on the wear rate. The composite brake shoe with even density distribution showed better braking performance. The braking performance of a composite brake shoe was also compared with that of a cast iron brake shoe which is currently being used. The result indicated the performance of the composite brake shoe is better than the cast iron brake shoe.
