A close-copy stylization of intonation curve was used for an acoustical analysis of emotional speech. For the analysis, 408 utterances of five emotions (happiness, anger, fear, neutral and sadness) were processed to extract acoustical feature values. The results show that certain pitch point features (pitch point movement time and pitch point distance within a sentence) and sentence level features (pitch range of a final pitch point, pitch range of a sentence and pitch slope of a sentence) are affected by emotions. Pitch point movement time, pitch point distance within a sentence and pitch slope of a sentence show no significant difference between male and female participants. The emotions with high arousal (happiness and anger) are consistently distinguished from the emotion with low arousal (sadness) in terms of these acoustical features. Emotions with higher arousal show steeper pitch slope of a sentence. They have steeper pitch slope at the end of a sentence. They also show wider pitch range of a sentence. The acoustical analysis in this study implies the possibility that the measurement of these acoustical features can be used to cluster and identify emotions of speech.
This study proposes feature extraction method of pattern recognition by evaluation of weld defects in weld zone of titanium. For this purpose, analysis objectives in this study are features of attractor quadrant and fractal dimension. Trajectory changes in the attractor indicated a substantial difference in fractal characteristics resulting from distance shifts such as porosity of weld zone. These differences in characteristics of weld defects enables the evaluation of unique characteristics of defects in the weld zone. In quantitative fractal feature extraction, feature values of 0.87 and 1.00 in the case of part of 0.5 skip distance and 0.72 and 0.93 in the case of part of 1.0 skip distance were proposed on the basis of fractal dimensions. Attractor quadrant point, feature values of 1.322 and 1.172 in the case of ${\phi}1{\times}3mm$ porosity and 2.264 and 307 in the case of ${\phi}3{\times}3mm$ porosity were proposed on the basis of distribution value. The Proposed feature extraction of pattern recognition in this study can be used for safety evaluation of weld zone in titanium.
Object detection and parameter estimation in point cloud data is a relevant subject to robotics, reverse engineering, computer vision, and sport mechanics. In this paper a software is presented for fully-automatic object detection and parameter estimation in unordered, incomplete and error-contaminated point cloud with a large number of data points. The software consists of three algorithmic modules each for object identification, point segmentation, and model fitting. The newly developed algorithms for orthogonal distance fitting (ODF) play a fundamental role in each of the three modules. The ODF algorithms estimate the model parameters by minimizing the square sum of the shortest distances between the model feature and the measurement points. Curvature analysis of the local quadric surfaces fitted to small patches of point cloud provides the necessary seed information for automatic model selection, point segmentation, and model fitting. The performance of the software on a variety of point cloud data will be demonstrated live.

Recently, as the demand for 3D geospatial information increases, the importance of rapid and accurate data construction has increased. Although many studies have been conducted to register UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) imagery based on LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data, which is capable of precise 3D data construction, studies using LiDAR data embedded in MMS (Mobile Mapping System) are insufficient. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed 9 matching algorithms based on feature points for registering reflectance image converted from LiDAR point cloud intensity data acquired from MMS with image data from UAV. Our results indicated that when the SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm was applied, it was able to stable secure a high matching accuracy, and it was confirmed that sufficient conjugate points were extracted even in various road environments. For the registration accuracy analysis, the SIFT algorithm was able to secure the accuracy at about 10 pixels except the case when the overlapping area is low and the same pattern is repeated. This is a reasonable result considering that the distortion of the UAV altitude is included at the time of UAV image capturing. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to be used as a basic research for 3D registration of LiDAR point cloud intensity data and UAV imagery.

Topological data analysis (TDA) is a data analysis technique, recently developed, that investigates the overall shape of a given dataset. The mapper algorithm is a TDA method that considers the connectivity of the given data and converts the data into a mapper graph. Compared to persistent homology, another popular TDA tool, that mainly focuses on the homological structure of the given data, the mapper algorithm is more of a visualization method that represents the given data as a graph in a lower dimension. As it visualizes the overall data connectivity, it could be used as a prediction method that visualizes the new input points on the mapper graph. The existing mapper packages such as Giotto-TDA, Gudhi and Kepler Mapper provide the descriptive mapper algorithm, that is, the final output of those packages is mainly the mapper graph. In this paper, we develop a simple predictive algorithm. That is, the proposed algorithm identifies the node information within the established mapper graph associated with the new emerging data point. By checking the feature of the detected nodes, such as the anomality of the identified nodes, we can determine the feature of the new input data point. As an example, we employ the fraud credit card transaction data and provide an example that shows how the developed algorithm can be used as a node prediction method.
Map generalization functions to visualize the spatial data or to change their scale by changing the level of details of data. Until recently, the studies on map generalization have concentrated more on line features than on point features. However, point features are one of the essential components of digital maps and cannnot be ignored because of the great amount of information they carry. This study, therefore, aimed to find out a detailed procedure of point features' generalization. Particularly, this work chose the distribution pattern of point features as the most important factor in the point generalization in investigating the geometric characteristics of source data. First, it attempted to find out the characteristics of distribution pattern of point features through quadrat analysis with Grieg-Smith method and nearest-neighbour analysis. It then generalized point features through the generalization threshold which did not alter the characteristics of distribution pattern and the removal of redudant point feautres. Therefore, the generalization procedure of point features provided by this work maintained the geometric characteristics as much as possible.
The analysis of cow body parameters is important to provide some useful information fur cow management and cow evaluation. Present methods give many stresses to cows because they are invasive and constrain cow postures during measurement of body parameters. This study was conducted to develop the stereo vision system fur non-invasive analysis of cow body features. Body feature parameters of 16 heads at two farms(A, B) were measured using scales and nineteen stereo images of them with walking postures were captured under outdoor illumination. In this study, the camera calibration and inverse perspective transformation technique was established fer the stereo vision system. Two calibration results were presented for farm A and fm B, respectively because setup distances from camera to cow were 510 cm at farm A and 630cm at farm B. Calibration error values fer the stereo vision system were within 2 cm for farm A and less than 4.9 cm for farm B. Eleven feature points of cow body were extracted on stereo images interactively and five assistant points were determined by computer program. 3D world coordinates for these 15 points were calculated by computer program and also used for calculation of cow body parameters such as withers height. pelvic arch height. body length. slope body length. chest depth and chest width. Measured errors for body parameters were less than 10% for most cows. For a few cow. measured errors for slope body length and chest width were more than 10% due to searching errors fer their feature points at inside-body positions. Equation for chest girth estimated by chest depth and chest width was presented. Maximum of estimated error fur chest girth was within 10% of real values and mean value of estimated error was 8.2cm. The analysis of cow body parameters using stereo vision system were successful although body shape on the binocular stereo image was distorted due to cow movements.

In this paper, we implemented real-time speaker undependent speech recognizer that is robust in noise environment using DSP(Digital Signal Processor). Implemented system is composed of TMS320C32 that is floating-point DSP of Texas Instrument Inc. and CODEC for real-time speech input. Speech feature parameter of the speech recognizer used robust feature parameter in noise environment that is transformed feature space of MFCC(met frequency cepstral coefficient) using ICA(Independent Component Analysis) on behalf of MFCC. In recognition result in noise environment, we hew that recognition performance of ICA feature parameter is superior than that of MFCC.

This paper addresses a new statistical method, IFSAcycle, which is an unsupervised learning method of analyzing cell cycle-related gene expression data. The IFSAcycle is based on the independent feature subspace analysis (IFAS) [3], which generalizes the independent component analysis (ICA). Experimental results show the usefulness of IFAS: (1) the ability of assigning genes to multiple coexpression pattern groups; (2) the capability of clustering key genes that determine each critical point of cell cycle.
In this paper, we studied a system that can efficiently build security management for single-person households using Arduino, ESP32-CAM and PIR sensors, and proposed an Android app with an internet connection. The ESP32-CAM is an Arduino compatible board that supports both Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cameras using an ESP32-based processor. The PCB on-board antenna may be used independently, and the sensitivity may be expanded by separately connecting the external antenna. This system has implemented an Arduino-based Unauthorized intrusion system that can significantly help prevent crimes in single-person households using the combination of PIR sensors, Arduino devices, and smartphones. unauthorized intrusion system, showing the connection between Arduino Uno and ESP32-CAM and with smartphone applications. Recently, if daily quarantine is underway around us and it is necessary to verify the identity of visitors, it is expected that it will help maintain a safety net if this system is applied for the purpose of facial recognition and restricting some access. This technology is widely used to verify that the characters in the two images entered into the system are the same or to determine who the characters in the images are most similar to among those previously stored in the internal database. There is an advantage that it may be implemented in a low-power, low-cost environment through image recognition, comparison, feature point extraction, and comparison.
