  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the environmental factors relating to children's outdoor play and to assess how the residential neighborhood is suitable for play in the perception of parents. Based on a citywide survey of 500 parents of elementary school students in grades 1-4 in Seoul, this empirical study shows that children's outdoor play environments in residential neighborhoods of Seoul have been observed to be overall unsuitable for play activity. Three physical environmental factors (spatial availability, neighborhood attractiveness, and street difficulties) and three social environmental factors (fear of crime, social interactions, and psychological comfort) are related to children's play activity. Five factors, with the exception of the psychological comfort factor, impact the suitability of children's outdoor play environment. Specifically, it is the physical environment, rather than the social environment, that was deemed unsuitable in spite of its impacts. These findings help us understand the current conditions of neighborhood play environments associated with children's play activity. It is necessary to improve parents' perceptions of the play environment and children's play activities by improving the physical environment.

A regression analysis was conducted to determine the factors which influences the satisfaction of private security service to ultimately achieve the research purpose. In the regression analysis, the difference between corporate clients and individual clients were analyzed for the sake of providing better security services and marketing applications. As a result, the factors that influences the satisfaction of the categorized groups were very clearly signified. Both individual and corporate clients showed increase in satisfaction rate when the fear of crime decreased. This result implies that the private security firms must possess segmented strategies as well as strategies to lower the fear factors of clients. There were no differences in all satisfaction-influencing factors when the fear reduction variable was exempted among both corporate and individual clients in usage satisfaction. This result shows that clients demand varies according to the client and the security firms must react to these demands by the clients. Although private security industry possess very clear publicity, it is a profit generating industry sector therefore, like other service industry, the private security services must implement strategies to keep up with the paradigm. If the satisfaction determinants from the research results are grafted into strategies such relationship marketing and target market selection, higher service satisfaction can be achieved from the clients.

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve the authentication method for IP camera user authentication. Since existing authentication uses knowledge-based authentication method, if ID and PW are exposed to attack by attacker, IP camera becomes defenseless from attacker. The attacker can access the IP Camera and acquire and distribute real time video and voice, which can be exploited as a second crime, and there is a fear of a secret leak when a secret facility is installed. In order to compensate for this vulnerability, this paper proposes a DUI authentication method that identifies and registers a device using DUI (Device Unique Identifier), blocks access to unauthorized devices by subordinating the device to the IP Camera and authenticates only authorized devices.

  • In this age where the social environment is changing rapidly and unpredictably, interest in safety from crime is increasing in Korean society. As the desire to live a life free from the fear of crime increases, interest in the construction of safe cities is also rising nationwide. For this, it is important to develop precision-positioning technology and support-service and intelligent security-service technology based on spatial information. Therefore, this study analyzes cases of multiple CCTV collaboration technology from among the intelligent-security technologies, and evaluates the technology's guarantee system through the evaluation system of the Technology Guarantee Fund, and evaluates continuity based on innovation, spreadability, usability, and proposed commercialization in order to enable utilization and commercialization. As a result of analyzing multiple CCTV collaborative technologies through the evaluation system of the Technology Guarantee Fund, the technology with the highest outlook was given five points, and the others were rated as excellent in terms of spreadability, usability, and differentiation. For innovation, the score was three points lower than the other evaluation items, but we expect to overcome that by introducing the latest technology and converging it with other technologies, such as the Internet of Things.
