레이저용접부의 파괴에 미치는 잔류응력의 영향 (The Effect of residual stress for fracture behavior in the laser weldment)

  • The integrity of laser welded structures is decided with fracture strength and fatigue strength. This study presents fracture behavior considering residual stress in the laser welding. Experiments are conducted and analyses are performed to explore the influence of residual stress on fracture behavior of bead-on laser welded compact specimen. Fracture experiments are performed using ASTM 1820. The performed analyses included thermo-elasto-plastic analyses for residual stress and subsequent J-integral calculation. A modified J integral is calculated in the presence of residual stresses. The J-integral is path-independent for combination of residual stress field and stress due to mechanical loading. The results indicates that the tensile residual stress near crack front bring the low fracture load while the compressive residual stress bring the high fracture load compared to no residual stress specimen. These results quantitatively understand the influence of residual stress on fracture behavior.

  • This study investigates crack propagation behavior of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder under pull-push loading conditions. Fatigue Crack Growth (FCG) tests were conducted on Center Cracked Plate (CCP) specimens in fast-fast (pp) strain waveform. The fast-slow (pc), slow-fast (cp) and slow-slow (cc) strain waveforms were also used to study the effect of strain rates. The crack propagation rates for the four strain waveforms were correlated with J-integral range and a scatter band of factor 4 was found. The crack growth rates for the pc waveform was highest, followed by cp, cc and then pp waveforms.

  • 본 논문에서는 이상과 같은 연구현상을 배경으로 응력비 R.geq.0인 사인응력파 에서도 사이클의존형 크랙전파가 공존하는가, 공존한다면 그 전이를 결정짓는 조건을 구하기 위해, 대표적인 고온용 재료인 SUS 304강을 이용하여 온도 650.deg. C, 대기중에서 반복속도 .nu., 응력비 R, 응력레벨 .sigma.$_{maxo}$등의 실험조건을 바꾸어 고온저사이클 피로실험을 하였다. 또 이 현상의 기초과정을 이해하는데 도움을 주기 위하여 파면 관찰을 행하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 중앙균열을 가진 SB41강의 평판이 하중제어와 변형률제어 피로 상태에서 소규모 항복, 대규모 항복, 또는 전면 항복의 각 응력에서 피로균열 진전 속 도와 J적분 범위, .DELTA.J와의 관계를 조사하는 한편, 피로균열 진전 속도를 지배하는 국 소적 역학 인자인 균열선단 개구변위, COD와 균열 진전 속도와 관계 및 그 특성을 고 찰하였다.

  • 용접강구조물에서는 용접비드와 같은 응력집중부가 많이 존재한다. 또한 용접부에서는 용접결함이 발생할 가능성이 많다. 반복적인 피로하중이 응력집중부에 작용하면 응력집중부에서 피로균열이 발생하고, 발생된 균열의 전파에 의해 피로파괴사고를 일으킨다. 따라서 피로파괴사고를 미연에 방지하기 위하여 균열발생수명과 균열전파수명과 같은 피로수명의 파악이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 피로균열전파특성 연구에 사용되는 컴플라이언스를 도출하였다. 이 컴플라이언스는 피로균열의 자동화 측정에 활용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CT시험편에 대하여 in-house FEM program을 사용하여 컴플라이언스를 계산하였다. 이 계산결과는 저자의 앞선 연구에서 본 프로그램을 사용하여 계산한 J integral의 계산결과와 대비하여 a/W와의 관계를 제시하였다. 그리고 또한 CT시험편 Back Face의 중앙부로부터 위아래 방향의 스트레인 분포에 계산을 실시하였다. 이 분포에서는 중심으로부터 위아래로 갈수록 스트레인이 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이상의 계산과정으로부터 균열진전시험의 자동수행을 위한 컴플라이언스를 얻을 수 있었다. 이것으로부터 CT 시험편의 피로균열진전시험의 자동화에 활용이 가능하게 되었다.

피로균열이 발생한 강판형 철도교 세로보의 보수보강효과 (An Effect of Repair & Retrofit of Stringer in Steel Plate Girder Railway Bridge with Fatigue Cracks)

  • In this study, a series of finite element analysis using LUSAS were performed in order to assess the quantitative effects of repair and retrofit of stringer in steel plate girder railway bridge with fatigue cracks. And cutoff types of end part of upper flange were considered as right-angled type and round-angled type. Also, as a method of repair and retrofit of fatigue cracks in stringer, perforation of stop-hole and installation of bracket were considered. From the analysis result, it was possible to assess the fatigue safety and fatigue life of stringer with fatigue cracks, and to estimate the stress intensity factor range in cut-off part of stringer using J-integral method. Also, according to the method of perforation of stop-hole and installation of bracket, it was possible to calculate the crack propagation life at the cut-off part of stringer.

가스배관재의 피로균열진전거동과 파괴저항특성곡선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior and R-Curve Characteristics of Gas Piping Material)

  • SG-365 steel is an important material and used for manufacturing a pressure vessel which the gas piping. In this investigation, the elastic plastic fracture toughness of this material is evaluated by the unloading compliance method according to the ASTM E813-97 and E1152-97 method on the smooth and side groove 1CT specimens. The effect of smooth and side groove is studied on the elastic plastic fracture toughness. The side grooved specimen is very useful in estimation of the $J_{IC}$. It is much easier than the smooth specimen to the onset of the ductile tearing by the R curve method. Besides, it improves the accuracy of toughness values, decreases a phenomenon of the tunneling and shear lip by the side groove.

역전파 신경회로망을 이용한 피로 균열성장 모델링에 관한 연구 (A study on fatigue crack growth modelling by back propagation neural networks)

  • Up to now, the existing crack growth modelling has used a mathematical approximation but an assumed function have a great influence on this method. Especially, crack growth behavior that shows very strong nonlinearity needed complicated function which has difficulty in setting parameter of it. The main characteristics of neural network modelling to engineering field are simple calculations and absence of assumed function. In this paper, after discussing learning and generalization of neural networks, we performed crack growth modelling on the basis of above learning algorithms. J'-da/dt relation predicted by neural networks shows that test condition with unlearned data is simulated well within estimated mean error(5%).

안정피로성장 중인 표면균열 형상변화의 해석 (Analysis of Shape Change of a Surface Crack during Stable Fatigue Growth)

  • The multi-point procedure is developed to predict the shape change of a semi-elliptical surface crack during stable fatigue crack growth. 3-D stress intensity factors along a crack front are calculated using the simplified 3-D J-intergral. Crack growth rate coefficient in the Paris law is assumed to be constant along the crack growth. Crack growth rate is set to be the distance between the two parallel tangent lines on the two semi-elliptic crack fronts before and after crack growth.
