THE RESEARCH ON SIMULATION METHOD FOR FAULT DETECT10N AND DIAGNOSIS IN SENSORS

  • A novel approach based on parameters estimation is presented far fault detection and diagnosis in sensors. Based on known precise parameter of normal working sensors system model is built from real laboratory inputs-outputs data, sequentially residual serial is obtained. Where decision-making rule of detection the fault is given via the use of beys theory, whilst a filter least-square computative algorithm for estimating fault parameters is given. The algorithm is a fast and accurate to calculate value of sensors faults when system model contains noise and sensors outputs contain measured noise. The method can solve both gain type and bias type fault in sensors. Simulated numerical example is included to demonstrate the use of the proposed approaches.

  • This paper describes the simplified simulation method of the wire-guided underwater test body with natural supercavitation. In this paper, the simulation based model of the wire-guided underwater body with natural supercavitation is proposed by using preceding research and commercial flow-analysis software. By using the model, the 1-dimensional wire-guided body motion in natural supercavitation can be solved very fast with reliability. The suggested model is validated by the comparison of simulation results with experimental data.

  • An improved modular multiplication algorithm for RSA type public key cryptosystem and its application to a serial communication cricuit are presented. Correction on a published fast modular multiplication algorithm is proposed and verified thru simulation. Cryptosystem for RS 232C communication protocol isdesigned and prototyped for low speed data exchange between computers. The system adops the correct algoroithm and operates successfully using a small size key.

  • This paper presents a dynamic simulation algorithm for studying the effect of United Power Flow Controller(UPFC) on the low frequency power system oscillations and transient stability studies. The proposed algorithm is a Newton-type one and uses current injection type UPFC model, which gives a fast convergence characteristics. The algorithm is applied to studying inter-area power oscillation damping enhancement of a sample two-area power system both in time domain and frequency domain. The case study results show that the proposed algorithm is very efficient and UPFC is very effective and robust against operating point change.

  • A fast pseudo-noise (PN) sequence acquisition algorithm for the direct-sequence (DS) spread spectrum system is proposed. The basic concept of the algorithm has been adopted from that of the classical sliding correlator. Mathematical modeling, analysis and computer simulation of the proposed system have been done. The results of analysis and computer simulation show that the acquisition system yields a significant performance improvement over the sliding correlator. Its acquisition time takes only 45 ms when signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is -18dB. The algorithm developed has been implemented in hardware and its experimental result is also given.

  • The use of machine learning technologies such as deep and reinforcement learning has proliferated in various domains with the advancement of deep neural network studies. To make the learning successful, both big data acquisition and fast processing are required. However, for some physical world applications such as autonomous drone flight, it is difficult to achieve efficient learning because learning with a premature A.I. is dangerous, cost-ineffective, and time-consuming. To solve these problems, simulation-based approaches can be considered. In this study, we analyze recent trends in drone simulation technologies and compare their features. Subsequently, we introduce Octopus, which is a highly precise and scalable drone simulator being developed by ETRI.

  • This paper presents an PID type fuzzy based method for nohnear engine idle controller The output is a duty cycle(DC) for driving a idle speed cont개l valve(1SCV). For precise control of SI engine, the CPS sensor and coolant temperature are used. Visual C* language is used to make simulation panel for the fast and precise idle speed control. The dSPACE board and supported Control desk program is used in experiment ta the same purpose as simulation. The experimental results have a good agreement with simulation ones.

  • The stochastic manufacturing system has one or more random variables as inputs that lead to random outputs. Since the outputs are random, they can be considered only as estimates of the true characteristics of the system. These estimates could greatly differ from the corresponding real characteristics for the system. Multiple replications are necessary to get reliable information on the system and output data should be analyzed to get optimal solution. It requires too much computation time practically, In this paper a GA method, named Stochastic Genetic Algorithm(SGA) is proposed and tested to find the optimal solution fast and efficiently by reducing the number of replications.

  • In this paper, we propose to study the possibility of using a photovoltaic system combined with a high speed micro-turbine. This hybrid system can work as stand-alone system or grid connected system as it will be a part of a micro-grid. Initially, we propose Matlab/Simulink dynamic models of photovoltaic, micro turbine systems and supercapacitor. Then, we carry out a simulation comparison of the two systems, this is, with supercapacitor and without supercapacitor bank. We show that supercapacitor bank as short-term storage device was necessary to reduce the fast fluctuation of power in the case of sensitive loads. It is verified the simulation results of Matlab/Simulink based hybrid power system represent the effectiveness of the suggested hybrid power system.

  • In this paper, We coupled fluid balance and director balance equation from Ericksen-Leslie's continuum theory and observed the motion of Liquid Crystal molecular. We simulated flow velocity and director distribution in which flow effect is considered in switching on and switching off state. We interpreted the dynamic response characteristic caused by the flow. As the result of the simulation, We could see the flow effect. In the case of Twisted Nematic(TN) cell, this flow caused abnormal twist temporarily in switching off state. We could prove that this abnormal twist is a direct cause of optical bounce phenomenon known well until now with the result of simulation. In addition, We analyzed the mechanism of the fast response due to flow in the case of Optically Compensated Bend(OCB) cell.
