A Proposal for Digital Forensic Model for Secure Digital Rights Management (안전한 디지털 저작권 관리를 위한 디지털 포렌식 모델 제안)

  • The devices for the digital home in ubiquitous environment aim at providing multimedia services which are not limited to the time and space. However, it does not ensure the fair use of digital contents and causes damage to the contents providers because of indiscriminate distribution of digital contents and the use of illegal contents. DRM system for solving this problems cannot protect the license stored on digital home devices and manage license by redistribution of contents. In this paper, digital forensic model that enables the misuse detection and previous interception of large-scale illegal distribution for contents and license, and also enables the creation and management of digital evidence for legal countermeasure.

  • As Ransomware spreads, the target of the attack shifted from a single personal to organizations which lead attackers to be more intelligent and systematic. Thus, Ransomware's threats to domestic infrastructure, including the financial industry, have grown to a level that cannot be ignored. As a measure against these security issues, organizations use ISMS, which is an information protection management system. However, it is difficult for management to make decisions on the loss done by the security issues since amount of the damage done can not be calculated with just ISMS. In this paper, through FAIR-based loss measurement model based on scenario's to identify the extent of damage and calculate the reasonable damages which has been considered to be the problem of the ISMS, we identified losses and risks of Ransomeware on the financial industry and method to reduce the loss by applying the current ISMS and ISO 27001 control items rather than modifying the ISMS.

  • In order to reduce the increasing packet loss rates caused by an exponential increase in network traffic, the IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) is considering the deployment of active queue management techniques such as RED(Random Early Detection) algorithm. However, RED algorithm simple but does not protect traffic from high-bandwidth flows, which include not only flows that fail to use end-to-end congestion control such as UDP flow, but also short round-trip time TCP flows. In this paper, in order to solve this problem, we propose a simple fairness queue management scheme, called AFQM(Approximate Fair Queue Management) algorithm, that discriminate against the flows which submit more packets/sec than is allowed by their fair share. By doing this, the scheme aims to approximate the fair queueing policy Since it is a small overhead and easy to implement, AFQM algorithm controls unresponsive or misbehaving flows with a minimum overhead.

A Study on the Use and Protection of Copyrights in Public Archives (공공기록물의 이용과 저작권보호에 관한 연구)

  • In the midst of computerization and digitization of the archives, the way of use and the need of users to use the public archives has been changed and expanded. It draws concerned party's attention to the copyrights in the public archives and the protection of the copyrights of the public archives. This study examines the exiting copyright laws in Korea and some foreign countries, interprets the laws, and presents legal implications when the laws are applied to the public archives held in the National Archives of Korea(NAK). The public records are "literary works" and their copyrights are to be protected. Most of the public archives held in the NAK are also "creative works" which are the presentations of thoughts and feelings of the individuals, the records creators in the public agencies. The holder of the copyrights of the archives is not the NAK, but the agency which created the archives, such as the central government and local governments. To promote the use of public archives, we need to expand the public domain in the public records and archives and the fair use of the archives. To do this, I suggest to amend and complement the Copyrights Act, the Pubic Records/Archives Management Act, and the Opening Records in the Public Agencies Act(FOIA in Korea). The establishment of a coordinating body dealing the copyrights in pubic record and archives is strongly recommended. The coordinating body will provide guidelines on protecting copyrights and expand the fair use and the public domain of the public archives.

An ABR Service Control for Improving Efficiency of PNNI (사설망인터페이스(PNNI)의 효율성 향상을 위한 ABR 서비스 제어)

  • In this paper, we analyze previous flow control algorithm for serving ABR traffic, and then propose the algorithm which calculate fair transmission rate and control efficiently ABR traffic using VS/VD switch which has an effect on PNNI environment with long delay. For getting the transmission rate, the proposed algorithm use FMMRA as ER scheme which calculate exactly the fair share. And, in large delay state, we can obtain fair cell sharing by calculating transmission rates which obtained by transmitted queue length information of VD to VS for serve and drain cell in queue Through the computer simulation, we evaluate the performance of proposed algorithm, According to the results, the proposed algorithm shows good performance.

  • In this study, we introduce the optimization method of fuzzy inference systems that is based on Hierarchical Fair Competition-based Parallel Genetic Algorithms (HFCGA) and information data granulation, The granulation is realized with the aid of the Hard C-means clustering and HFCGA is a kind of multi-populations of Parallel Genetic Algorithms (PGA), and it is used for structure optimization and parameter identification of fuzzy model. It concerns the fuzzy model-related parameters such as the number of input variables to be used, a collection of specific subset of input variables, the number of membership functions, the order of polynomial, and the apexes of the membership function. In the optimization process, two general optimization mechanisms are explored. The structural optimization is realized via HFCGA and HCM method whereas in case of the parametric optimization we proceed with a standard least square method as well as HFCGA method as well. A comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed algorithm is superior to the conventional methods. Particularly, in parameter identification, we use the UNDX operator which uses multiple parents and generate offsprings around the geographic center off mass of these parents.

  • A blind signature scheme is a protocol allowing verifier to obtain a valid signature for a message m from a signer without him seeing the message. This means that the bank in collaboration with the shop cannot trace the electronic cash to user. However anonymous electronic cash also facilitates fraud and criminal acts such as money laundering anonymous blackmailing and illegal purchaes. Therefore in this paper we propose fair blind signature scheme based on KCDSA which is a domestic digital signature scheme and it apply a electronic cash system. In particularly a proposed electronic cash system have an anonymity control ability which trace a user who make use a electronic cash illegally in association with a trusted center.
