Evaluation of Generator Reactive Power Pricing Through Optimal Voltage Control under Deregulation

  • This paper presents the evaluation of reactive power pricing through the control of generator voltages under the assumption that the reactive power market has been transformed into the real power market. By applying the concept of economic dispatch, which minimizes the total cost of real power generation to reactive power generation, the algorithm for implementing reactive power pricing is proposed to determine the optimum voltage profiles of generators. It consists of reactive power voltage equation, the objective function that minimizes the total cost of reactive power generation, and linear analysis of inequality constraints in relation to the load voltages. From this algorithm, the total cost of the reactive power generation can be yielded to the minimum value within network constraints as the range of load voltages. This may provide the fair and reasonable price information for reactive power generation in the deregulated electricity market. The proposed algorithm has been tested on the IEEE 14-bus system using MATLAB.

이공계 대학생의 대학생활 경험과 취업의 질 : 성별차이를 중심으로 (Does College Experience Effect Job Quality Of Science And Engineering Graduates? -Focusing On Gender Gap)

  • This study aims to examine whether a gender works to make the difference on the university experiences of natural sciences and engineering major students; and the income and quality gap between the graduates. In this study, university experiences means job market and job searching related experiences such as job fair attending, The main research questions are as follows; fist, what are the significant university experiences related job preparation and application, and is there a gender gap on those experiences? Second, how is the job market performance of the national sciences and engineering graduates for their income level and quality job, and is there a gender gap on the job market performance of the sample? Third, which variables among the university experiences for job searching and application impacts the job quality and income level of the natural sciences and engineering graduates? To find out the research results, this study conducts a panel data analysis with GOMS (Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey) throughout survey year of 2006 to 2015, towards 568,264 as weighted value number. As analysis methods, this study carries out a descriptive analysis, ANOVA, discriminant analysis, linear regression and T-test. Therefore, here are the brief outputs of the study; first, for natural sciences and engineering students, the off-campus experiences such as job fair, job recruit festival and internship programs are more favored; second, female students are more likely to attend personal and self-driven job preparation programs; third, on job market performance, the graduates' income level and company scale rate are higher in the male but job stability is higher in the female; fourth, as a result of the linear regression, gender factor decides the income level in considerable degree; additionally, gender factor shows the difference of the job satisfaction and self-effectiveness on one's job as a qualitative variables. For obtaining strictness, university program factors are controlled through model fitness process. As above, this study finds out the main factors of university life of natural sciences and engineering graduates which are related their job searching and preparation experiences and figures out stronger factors in job market; and examines the statistically significance of the gender in this casual-effect relationship between job preparation and job quality of the graduates.

  • This study investigates the main trend of LOHAS, examines and analyzes the LOHAS marketing cases of the fashion industry, and proposes an effective LOHAS marketing strategy for the domestic fashion market. Data were collected from Naver, Google and Daum from 2005 (when LOHAS began to be recognized) to October $31^{st}$ 2010. We searched the research material with keywords related to the research subject (such as eco, green, well being, echo-friendly, LOHAS, sustainable, environmental management, and green management) to conduct a theoretical and exploratory study through qualitative analysis. The data are analyzed with three types such as personal value of eco-friendly fabric, economical value of recycled fabric and re-use or re-form, and social-ethical value of distribution and promotion. The research results show that LOHAS marketing activities focused on personal values and social-ethical values (rather than economical value) and from an eco-friendly management centered on merchandise; in addition, an eco-friendly supply chain management incorporated with a management system were applied. LOHAS marketing strategies at home and abroad revealed some differences in the cases of eco-friendly fabric, recycling, and fair trade.

글로벌금융시대의 투자자 정보불균형 해소에 따른 기업성과에 대한 연구 -국내외 기업의 IR공시가 주가에 미치는 영향을 중심으로- (A Study on the Firm Performance Following the Resolution of Investors Information Asymmetry in the Globalized Financial Market)

  • One aspect of the globalization of the financial market after the 1980s is represented by the concurrent monetarization of the national stock markets. As the IR activity is regarded as a new financial productivity measure, the IR activity in the stock market is being emphasized domestically and internationally. This study analyzes domestic IR activities and compares them with foreign IR activities. Specifically the "road show", a typical IR activity, which is known to resolve the information asymmetry between the firm and the investors is analyzed to see the extent of the their value increase impact on the firm. The study employs domestic and international firms that publicly announced "road shows" after April 2004. Event studies are done to see the existence of abnormal return after the public announcement of road shows. Domestic firms were found to have positive IR impacts on the stock prices, but international firms were found to have negative IR impacts on the stock prices. Also it was found that international public announcement of the road show have stronger positive impact on the stock price than domestic public announcement. The investigation of the statistically significant difference of CAR before and after the fair public announcement enforcement rule showed that the positive CAR impact is strengthened after the adoption of the rule. The conclusion is that increase of the firm value after the road show implies that the information asymmetry is reduced by the active IR actions on the firm side. The policy implication is that we have to reassure the understanding of the role of the IR activities. Specifically Korean firms may have to encourage IR activities to share the information of the firms with the investors, which may result in the trustworthy relationship between the firms and investors.

중매인에 관한 연구 (On The Licensed Dealer in Landing Markets)

  • Korea is a peninsular country surrounded by seas on three sides, and the fishing industry has carried out the service of suppling to the people with important anima protein. The distribution of fishery products has very complicated structures, because the production is in charge of small producers scattering along the coast all over the country, while consumpstion is made by separate homes in areas away from producing district. The relation between these two factors the structures make very complicated. The most typical and special structures of fishery distridution are distinguished in two, that is, one is landing market, the other is inland market. Landing markets have been monopolized by fishermen's cooperatives, providing with landing facilities and building sites. Fish markets played not only an important role in the landing, but distribution and price determination of catches by auction or tender. Inland markets are two types of wholesale market in consuming center, one is the terminal market for urban consumers, the other type is the local market for rural consumers. Fundamental functions of landing markets are gathering, assessment, and distribution functions. Gathering function is in charge of wholesaler in fishery cooperative. Gathering amounts are equal to gathering capacity of wholesaler and transact ability of licensed dealers as shown below model. Gathering amount=f.gathering capacity(=pre price.landing facility.account of wholesaler.distance of fishing ground.conveniency purchasing.home port)=fㆍ transact ability of licensed dealers≒f.population or port, and table 1 indicates these relationship. Assessment and distribution functions are in charge of licensed dealers in consumption side. Assessment function should bring the value in production activity through the auction between the cooperative seller and the licensed dealer as buyer. For fair trade transaction in auction, the free competition is supposed to be a prerequisite among the licensed dealers. The ideal condition for free competition is sameness in the scale of buying amount by licensed delaers, but it is almost impossible to attain its goal in actual marketing.

금융업 핵심감사사항과 회계정보 가치관련성의 관계 (The Relationship between the Key Audit Matters and Value Relevance of Accounting Information in the Financial Industry)

  • Purpose - This study is to verify the impact of the documentation of key audit matters on the value relevance of accounting information in accordance with the revised accounting audit standards in 2017. Investors will be able to identify the company's significant financial risks through key audit matters and use them to make investment decisions. Design/methodology/approach - From 2011 to 2019, the final sample is 290, based on the December settlement of accounts listed on the securities market. Ohlson (1995) was used to verify the incremental link between net income and the book value as a determinant of corporate value. Findings - First, the key audit matters in the financial industry was found to have a negative (-) effect that was significant to the value relevance of accounting Information. In addition, the value of the interaction between the key audit matters and the net income is a significant (+) relationship with the share price and the value of the interaction between the key audit matters and the book value is a significant (-) relationship with the share price. This means that the key audit matters is the determining factor of corporate value, positively reflects the accounting information in net income and negatively reflects the accounting information in book value. Second, among the key audit matters, the fair value assessment of financial instruments and the adequacy of premiums reserve have a significant impact on the value relevance of accounting information. Research implications or Originality - The results of this study suggest that investors recognize key audit matters as information about the company's major financial risks and reflect them differently in the value relevance of accounting information.

  • 지식의 중요성 증대는 기업활동에서 지식경영의 도입을 강요하고, 지식의 측정과 가치평가의 필요성을 제기하고 있다. 본 고에서는 기업에 있어서 지식이라는 경영자산의 공정 시장가치를 평가하기 위한 주요 방법론을 개관하고, 로열티접근법을 중심으로 소득접근법에 의한 지식자산의 경제적 기여도를 분석한다. 이를 위해 지식자산의 특성을 확인하고 그 가치를 평가하기 위한 기본적인 개념을 검토한다. 이와 함께, 투자자의 관점에서 기업의 화폐적 자산과 유형자산에 대한 지식자산의 일반적인 관제를 검토하며, 지식자산의 가치를 평가하기 위한 방법론을 논의한다.

기업인수와 과잉현금흐름으로 인한 대리인비용과의 관계 (Corporate Takeover and Agency Cost of Free Cash Flow)

  • This study examines shareholder wealth effects in tender offers and attempts to explain abnormal return variations of bidding and target firms at announcement of takeovers using the free cash flow hypothesis of Jensen. On average, bidders with large free cash flows pay higher premia (apparently more than fair market value) to targets than do other bidders with no free cash flows. Thereby, these bidders experience negative wealth effects on announcement of tender offers. Cross-sectional regression analysis suggests that for the subsample of takeover bids where bidders have large free cash flows, the increase in the debt ratio resulting from takeover has a significant positive wealth effect for bidding firm shareholders, while it has no effect in other subsamples. The evidence is consistent with the free cash flow hypothesis.

  • It is required to develop a rational transmission pricing methodology to ensure the fair participation of the player in the market. Because of economic efficiency, marginal pricing method has been studied to be applied to transmission pricing methodology. In application of marginal pricing method to transmission pricing, revenue reconciliation must be needed to recover Transco's revenue requirements. This paper presents a reconciliation method based on line's value to transmission service user.

  • 본 논문에서는 디자인아트의 개념형성 과정을 연구하고, 이를 토대로 디자인아트의 의의를 도출하였다. 디자인아트는 1960년대 포스트모더니즘으로 형성된 탈영역의 기조 속에 90년대 새로운 예술 시장을 개척하기 위한 스타아티스트 및 스타디자이너 육성정책으로 작가로서의 디자이너가 탄생하며 활성화되기 시작하였다. 동시에 인터넷의 보급에 따른 정보의 대중화로 사용자의 자발적인 콘텐츠 제작 및 배포 활동이 가능해짐에 따라 디자이너가 독자적인 위치를 담보하기 위해 예술적 가치를 수용하게 됨으로써 디자인아트의 영역은 더욱 확고하게 되었다. 따라서 디자인아트는 '예술로서의 디자인'을 뜻하게 되며 디자인아티스트는 '작가주의 디자이너'라는 일반적인 의미를 획득하게 된다. 이는 2000년대에 들어 기존 아트갤러리의 디자인아트 수용 및 디자인아트 페어와 같은 새로운 디자인아트 시장의 형성으로 다양성을 확보하게 되었으며, 시장의 활성화는 디자인 생태계에서 새로운 개념의 디자인을 창출하려는 움직임으로 나름의 역할을 수행하기에 이른다. 이와 같은 내용을 토대로 현업에서 활발하게 활동 중인 디자인아티스트의 작품 분석을 토대로 디자인아트의 향후 발전 가능성을 살펴보았다.
