The existing facility management system is capable of managing two-dimensional and three-dimensional models that were driven from maps and registered documents. However, it is not capable to collect various fields data on a real time and operate the integrated systems. To supplement those obstacles, constructing a facility management system based on ubiquitous environment is needed. Therefore, this research has proposed the modified UFID(Unique Feature IDentifier), which is more suitable for the facility management by modifying management agency and serial codes system in the existing UFID. In addition, we established the procedures for ubiquitous environment based on facility management using proposed UFID. The feasibility of this research was assessed through case study focused on roadside trees. It is considered that the results can be applied to many other ubiquitous environments based on facility management.

Despite the rise of importance of Facility Management(FM), relatively little attention was paid to evaluate FM efficiency and drive for greater FM efficiency. The purpose of the present paper is to offer a quantitative analysis of 14 Key Success Factors(KSF) and 22 detailed maintenance practices in order to develop FM evaluation system. In addition, from survey with Owner/Property Manager group and Facility Manager group, the present paper measures both importance of detailed maintenance practices and performance satisfaction. It is expected that by using the result of this survey, this paper helps increase efficiency in FM. Moreover, It is expected that this paper will be used as base line data in developing FM practice evaluation system.

Commercial sports facilities dissatisfy and have the problem in facility management and social institution when we compare with advanced nation. To develop commercial sports facilities, government must improve facility management ability and increase social institutional support. First, to improve facility management ability, government must make effort for instructor's treatment better, employment extension, strengthening of management and marketing ability, improvement of service quality and consumer satisfaction, facility's modernization. Second, to extend social institutional support, government have to make effort for cultivation and disposition of specialized human power, deregulation and institution improvement of sports facility, support extension of taxes and finance, establishing information network of sports facility. Finally, the main body of commercial sports facilities have to make progressive effort for improving facility management ability, and government have to make excellent social environment developing commercial sports facilities.

The purpose of this study construct water-facility Database and to develop its management system using GSIS. We used route system and event table that are data model in GSIS for the construction of water valves on water facility pipe. A water-facility management system using GSIS was developed and was actually applied for the city of Yosu and compared with conventional water-facility management systems in terms of workability, information searching cost, and database management efficiency. The system has also been compared with those of two other local governments in terms of functions, process time, and conveniences. The generalization of the work model for water-facility system was also attempted based on the data collected from three local governments and it was revised by the work model of the wide area water-facility system. The generalized work model in this study was compared with other two local governments' work models. The generalized work model will enable local governments to develop more efficient and economical water-facility management system by GSIS in future.

As school facilities have been expanding quantity better than quality, efficient school facility management has been focused on from 2001 in domestic. Due to obsolescence of school facility, objective management and maintenance cost of school facility is very important. However LCC(Life cycle cost) analyst, owner, engineer, contractor and facility manager have a difficulty to obtain and facilitate the basic analyzed data required to analyze LCC of school facility and establish maintenance plan. Therefore this research presents muti-dimensional analysis method through data warehouse technique for supplying maintenance cost information of school facility that can trace and accumulate the scattered LCCing data in the perspective of life cycle of school facility.

Also, we designed the system to minimize the disparity with the conventional management system by referring to an old management ledger format. Thus, the proposed method may enable the system manager to administer the light facility efficiently and to reduce the manpower and maintenance cost, economically.

Presently, safety management of facilities is conducted as a site-oriented safety inspection, but depending on the facilities, there are difficulties in access to the site, and the cost and time of inspection are inefficient due to excessive reliance on human resources. Therefore, the necessity of sensor-based safety management is being raised to ensure the safety of the facility at all times, and various studies on sensor safety management are being conducted, but the research on verification of practicality is still insufficient. Therefore, the improvement points were presented through analysis of domestic and international studies, and additional processes for setting sensor attachment location and threshold were derived by analyzing the H city sensor safety management process, and practicality of sensor safety management was verified through sensor data measurement values. It is expected that efficient, sensor-based facility safety management will be possible if clear criteria and ongoing practicality verification for the additional processes presented in this study should be carried out in the future.

The USN is important in technique, unmanned observation using wireless network camera, detection technique that use intrusion detection sensor. But these encrypted data transmission and processing technique through sensor network, method of the staff's location recognition and arrangement aren't serviced still as a integrated system in facility security industry. This paper proposed that improve facility management, the staff present recognition and system efficiency using RFID, USN and wireless camera.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the facllity management data for hospitals. The work scope of facility management(FM) for hospitals was comprehensively and concretely classified. The methods of FM are compared between Korean hospitals and Japan hospitals. A domestic hospital has some problems in FM. Some indexes of FM are abstracted in the Korean hospital through the comparison.
