On the Standardization of FRP Ships for the Cooperative Production System (강화플라스틱선의 협동화 생산시스템 운용을 위한 표준화 연구)

  • The cooperative production system was proposed as an efficient production system to reduce the ship construction cost and to enhance the competitiveness for small/medium sized shipbuilder in the previous paper. In viewpoint of cooperative production system, the specialization of the FRP ship sizes has already been accomplished to reduce the number of the hull molds by FRP shipbuilders of the Sapjin industrial complex located in Mokpo area in 2003. There also exist lots of effective methods, as a cooperative production system, to cut down the construction cost. In this study, an effective production system in connection with the super structure and outfitting members is proposed such as the standardization of those items and specialized company which intensively produces the super structure and outfitting members at the collectivization area for cooperative work.

  • 최근 소형선박의 선체 재료로써 기존의 FRP선이 갖는 환경문제와 자원의 재활용 및 선체중량경감의 측면에서 소형선박을 중심으로 알루미늄선으로의 전환이 이루어져 왔지만, 알루미늄에 대한 용접 기능공 및 기술이 부족하여 건조 공정에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되어 중소조선소에선 알루미늄선체 건조에 많은 애로 점을 가지고 있다. 이에, 본 연구를 통해 알루미늄선체의 구조부재 제작시 용접에 의한 공정을 압출성형 기법으로 대체하고 알루미늄선체의 용접에 소요되는 높은 인건비와 시간을 절약하여 원가 절감의 효과를 도모하며 또한 알루미늄선박 일체형 구조부재의 경량화 기법과 한국선급의 알루미늄선체 강도 기준을 적용하여 표준화된 구조부재의 압출성형 기법을 정립하고자 한다.

  • 선박 건조시에 사용되는 알루미늄 합금은 환경친화적인 재료로 각광을 받고 있으며, FRP 선박의 대체재료로 부각되고 있다. 선박 운항시 해수 환경하에서 선체의 부식을 방지하기 위해 도장 뿐만아니라 희생양극이나, 음극방식 등은 필수불가결한 사항이다. Al-Mg 합금인 5083-H116에 대한 천연 해수 용액에서 저변형율 인장시험을 통한 응력부식균율이나 수소취화의 영향이 없는 최적의 방식 전위를 결정하였다.

  • In the case of occurring marine oil pollution, it is the most effective way that to prepare all the necessary response resources in advance and to respond to incidents, but there are limits in reality. Therefore, may be an important alternative ways to use a fishing vessel registered in the affected area by massive marine oil pollution efficiently. In the United States and other developed countries, it is can be found that temporary response program by local fishing vessels(VOO program) has been developed and operated. This study was examined for sweeping arm system suitable for domestic small fishing vessels. The selected small vessel was as the model of Coastal gill-net and compound fishing vessel with classes of 2.5~3.5tons, length 8~9m, breath 2.5~2.8m, horsepower 200~250 HP and FRP materials. The developed equipment was designed that can be easily mounted on the model ship and portable structure. For increasing the field practicality, the weight of each part was composed less than 10kg for easy assembly and disassembly.

Experimental Study on the Removal of Biofouling from Specimens of Small Ship Constructions Using Water Jet (물 제트를 이용한 소형선박제작 시편의 선체부착생물 제거에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Fouling organisms attached to a ship not only greatly increase the resistance of the ship as they grow on the hull but also cause disturbances in local marine ecosystems as they move with the ship. Accordingly, the International Maritime Organization has started discussing the removal of biofouling and evaluation of cleaning performance to prevent the migration of hull-fouling species. In this study, specimens of FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastic), HDPE(High Density Polyethylene), and CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) materials used for small ship construction were cured in Gyeokpo Port (Jeonlakbuk-do) for about 80 days. Then, attached organism removal experiments were performed using a water jet nozzle. The results show that seaweeds, such as laver, were removed when the distance between the nozzle and the specimen was 1.8 cm and the pressure was 100 bar. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the cleaning of barnacles was possible only when the pressure was 200 bar or more.

  • Recycling glass fiber, 'F-fiber,' was obtained by the separation of the roving layer from waste FRP and the concrete products or structures were considered for its application. Experiment was carried out for the bending strength of aggregate (2.45 of cement) by weight and F-fiber (density of 1.45, volume ratio to all of the aggregate and the cement). Whereas the specimen containing 1% F-fiber showed the bending strength 23% higher than that without F-fiber after curing far 28 days, the one with 0.5% F-fiber did not give any change. It could be found, therefore, that the minimum mixing amount should be larger than 0.5% fur the strength reinforcement. One of the reinforcing concrete product, bench flume, containing 1% F-fiber showed 21% increment of bending strength In contrast to that without F-fiber.

To need investigated for concept is various kinds overall strength as that use mainly steel wire material structurally of steel yacht by small crafts about Longi strength, Transe strength portion even of design safety factor at subject to do Rule's allowable stress enough stable structure accomplish. But it is assessment of part intensity that become refer to most in small size ship.

  • The many vessels are built with FRP(Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) material for small boats and medium vessels. However, FRP is impossible to be used for recyclable material owing to environmental problems and causes large proportion of collision accidents because radar reflection wave is so weak that large vessels could not detect FRP ships during the sailing. Hence, Al alloy comes into the spotlight to solve these kinds of problems as a new-material for next generation instead of FRP. Al alloy ships are getting widely introduced for fish and leisure boats to save fuel consumption due to lightweight. In this study, it was selected 6061-T6 Al alloy which are mainly used for Al-ships and carried out various electrochemical experiment such as potential, anodic/cathodic polarization, Tafel analysis, potentiostatic experiment and surface morphologies observation after potentiostatic experiment for 1200 sec by using the SEM equipment to evaluate optimum corrosion protection potential in sea water. It is concluded that the optimum corrosion protection potential range is -1.4 V ~ -0.7 V(Ag/AgCl) for 6061-T6 Al alloy, in the case of application of ICCP(Impressed current cathodic protection), which was shown the lowest current density at the electrochemical experiment and good specimen surface morphologies after potentiostatic experiment for Al-Mg-Si(6061-T6) Al alloy in seawater environment.

Effect of Counterpart Roughness on Abrasive Wear Characteristics of Side Plate of FRP Ship (FRP 선박 외판재의 연삭마모 특성에 관한 상대재 거칠기의 영향)

  • The effect of counterpart roughness on abrasive wear characteristics of side plate materials of FRP ship, which were composed of glass fiber and unsaturated polyester resin composites, were investigated at ambient temperature by pin-an-disc friction test. The friction coefficient, wear rate and cumulative wear volume of these materials against SiC abrasive paper were determined experimentally. The wear rate of these materials decreased rapidly with sliding distance and then maintained a constant value. It was increased as counterpart roughness was rougher in a wear test. The cumulative wear volume tended to increase nonlinearly with sliding distance and depended on applied load and sliding speed for these composites. It could be verified by SEM photograph of fracture surface that major failure mechanisms were overlapping layers, microcutting, deformation of resin, delamination, and cracking.

  • Manufacture of fishing vessel is needed the effective material for light, strength, fire and corrosion of water in order to improve durability by high-speed and fishing. These fishing vessel can be divided into FRP and AI alloys fishing vessel. FRP fishing vessel is light and effective for strength but highly ignited and susceptible to heat during the manufacturing ship by-produce noxious component for human. In the case of a scrapped ship, it cause environmental pollution. On the other hand, aluminum is a material in return for FRP and has merit of high-strength and lightness. It's more heat proof and durable than FRP and superior to prevent from corrosion. Al alloys fishing vessel development is rising as an urgent matter. But, al alloy has some defect of bad weldability, welding transformation, cracks and overcost of construction. Therefore this study is to develop the new welding joint shape solving aluminum defects and mechanical behavior. First of all, strength was compared and reviewed by analysis of plate, stiffen plate, new model simplified by using plate theory. On the base of this result, plate and new model of temperature distribution, weld residual stress and strength of tensile, compressive force were compared and reviewed by finite element computer program has been developed to deal with heat conduction and thermal elasto plastic problem. Also, new model is proved application possibility and excellent mechanic by strength comparison is established to tensile testing result.
