화소 전극 간 거리가 Fringe In-plane field Switching mode의 전기 광학 특성에 미치는 영향 (Electro-Optic Characteristics according to Distance between Pixel Electrodes in Fringe In-plane field Switching mode)

  • We have studied electro-optic characteristics of a high performance liquid crystal display using Fringe In-plane field Switching (FIS) mode. The strong electric fields cause more liquid crystals to reorient almost in plane above and between the pixel electrodes. As a result, the operation voltage is lower and transmittance is higher than those of Fringe Field Switching (FFS) and In-Plane Switching (IPS) modes. Apparently, the transmittance depends on voltage applied at the configurations of FIS mode which are proposed. Therefore, we have studied certain length of between electrodes for maximum transmittance and light intensity.

잎담배의 부스러짐 특성에 관한 연구 (STUDIES ON THE FRAGILITY OF TOBACCO RAW MATERIAL)

  • The fragility, which express the fineness index, increased linearly with the moisture content for various tobacco shreds and showed a high correlation to the moisture content. Then, fineness index (FIs) at reference moisture content(l2.5%) was obtained by following equation. FIs=FIm+A(12.5-Mm) A" denote the gradient of simple linear regression equation between the fineness index and moisture content. FIm; the fineness index measured at the standard moisture content(12.5%). The characteristics of fragility concerning with some kinds of tobacco raw materials, stalk position, moisture content and storaged time were investigated. The following results were obtained. 1. The moisture content range of less fragile of tobacco raw material was from 16% to 20%. whereas the rolled process sheet tobacco was from 12% to 16%. 2. The Bright yellow and the paper process sheet tobacco were less fragile than that of the other tobacco raw materials. 3. The leaves were more distant from middle stalk position, and its become more fragile. 4. Physical properties of the storaged tobacco leaves were determined as a function of each storageunction of each storage time. The long-term storaged leaves(more than 3 years) were slightly lighter weight, more fragility and lower equilbrium moisture content than thos of the mid-term storaged leaves.(less than 3 years). 5. Contents of chemical component of the storaged leaves were determined every storage time. The long-term storaged leaves were slightly lower content of nicotine and chlorine than those of mid-term storaged leaves, but contents of crude fiber, total ash and calcium were increased significantly.

아시아인의 푸드네오포비아와 음식관여도가 음식선택동기에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Asian Food Neophobia Scale and Food Involvement Scale on Food Choice Motives)

  • Many factors influence food choices and many studies show personal traits that influence food choices, which can be called food neophobia and food involvement. For example, an individual's food-related tastes are thought to certainly influence personal food choices. This study aimed to determine food choice motives, the food neophobia scale (FNS) and food involvement scale (FIS) of Asians staying in or leaving Korea, and the relationship of those personal traits and food choice motives. Subjects (N=370) completed a questionnaire consisting of food choice motives (15 questions), FNS (10 questions), FIS (12 questions) and socio-demographic conditions (10 questions). Items were analyzed to determine the differences according to nationality using ANOVA. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted to identify the indicators of food choice motives. And correlation analysis was conducted to confirm the relationship between food choice motives and food neophobia / food involvement. The result of analysis suggests that food neophobia and food involvement affect food choice motives and that food choice motives are unique to ethnicity and culture.

Detection of Incipient Faults in Induction Motors using FIS, ANN and ANFIS Techniques

  • The task performed by induction motors grows increasingly complex in modern industry and hence improvements are sought in the field of fault diagnosis. It is essential to diagnose faults at their very inception, as unscheduled machine down time can upset critical dead lines and cause heavy financial losses. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have proved their ability in detection of incipient faults in electrical machines. This paper presents an application of AI techniques for the detection of inter-turn insulation and bearing wear faults in single-phase induction motors. The single-phase induction motor is considered a proto type model to create inter-turn insulation and bearing wear faults. The experimental data for motor intake current, rotor speed, stator winding temperature, bearing temperature and noise of the motor under running condition was generated in the laboratory. The different types of fault detectors were developed based upon three different AI techniques. The input parameters for these detectors were varied from two to five sequentially. The comparisons were made and the best fault detector was determined.

  • This study proposes an intelligent semi-active isolation system combining a variable-stiffness control device and ground motion characteristic prediction. To determine the optimal control parameter in real-time, a genetic algorithm (GA)-fuzzy control law was developed in this study. Data on various types of ground motions were collected, and the ground motion characteristics were quantified to derive a near-fault (NF) characteristic ratio by employing an on-site earthquake early warning system. On the basis of the peak ground acceleration (PGA) and the derived NF ratio, a fuzzy inference system (FIS) was developed. The control parameters were optimized using a GA. To support continuity under near-fault and far-field ground motions, the optimal control parameter was linked with the predicted PGA and NF ratio through the FIS. The GA-fuzzy law was then compared with other control laws to verify its effectiveness. The results revealed that the GA-fuzzy control law could reliably predict different ground motion characteristics for real-time control because of the high sensitivity of its control parameter to the ground motion characteristics. Even under near-fault and far-field ground motions, the GA-fuzzy control law outperformed the FPEEA control law in terms of controlling the isolation layer displacement and the superstructure acceleration.

냉각 후 배양시간이 생쥐 난자의 방추체와 염색체에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Incubation Time after Cooling on the Meiotic Spindle and Chromosomes of Mouse Oocytes)

  • 동결 과정 중 필수적인 단계중 하나인 냉각(cooling)과 냉각 후 배양시간이 생쥐 난자의 방추체의 형태와 염색체의 배열에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로서 냉각 후 손상되었던 난자의 방추체와 염색체가 정상적으로 회복하는데 필요한 최적의 배양시간을 알아보기 위해 본 실험을 실시하였다. 생후 4-6주령의 암컷 B6C3Fl 생쥐를 과배란 처리하여 metaphase II상태의 난자를 회수하여 다음과 같이 처리하였다. 대조군은 난자를 냉각처리하지 않았으며 실험군은 난자를 $0^{\circ}C$에서 30분간 냉각한 후 37$^{\circ}C$에서 가온하여 즉시 일부 난자는 면역형광 염색을 실시하고 나머지 난자는 5% $CO_2$ 37$^{\circ}C$가 유지된 배양기내에서 Ml6 배지에 각각 5분, 15분, 30분, 60분, 120분간 배양한 후 면역 형광염색을 실시하였다. 난자의 방추체와 염색체를 평가하기 위한 면역형광염색은 Zenes 등의 방법(2001)에 준하여 실시하였다. 냉각처리하지 않은 생쥐 난자를 면역형광 염색하여 방추체와 염색체를 관찰한 결과 생쥐 metaphase II 상태의 난자는 대칭성의 원통모양의 방추체 형태를 보였으며 염색체는 metaphase plate위에 분리된 다발모양으로 밀집되어 보였다. 냉각 직후 미세관의 소실에 의한 방추체 형태의 이상과 형광성의 소실이 나타났으며 염색체는 다발모양의 밀집된 형상에서 벗어나 비정상적인 배열상을 보였다. 냉각 처리된 난자를 37$^{\circ}C$에서 가온하고 배양하였을 때 미세관의 재중합이 일어나 미세관의 형광성을 회복하기 시작하였고 방추체는 정상적인 배열상으로 회복되었다. 생쥐 난자를 냉각처리한 후 배양시간에 따른 방추체 미세관의 형광성(FIS), 염색체의 배열, 방추체의 형태를 비교하였다. 배양 5분에서 60분까지 FIS, 정상 염색체 배열을 보인 난자의 비율, 정상 방추체의 형태를 보인 난자의 비율이 점진적으로 증가하였으나 120분 배양에서는 감소하였다(P<0.05). 위의 세 가지 평가를 기준으로 하여 냉각 후 난자의 회복율을 관찰하였을 때 배양 60분에서 최상의 회복율을 나타냈다.

Gyroscope Free 관성 항법 장치의 데이터 보정을 위한 퍼지 추론 시스템 (Fuzzy Inference System for Data Calibration of Gyroscope Free Inertial Navigation System)

  • 본 논문은 퍼지 추론 시스템(FIS: fuzzy inference system)을 이용하여 자이로스코프를 사용하지 않는 관성 항법 장치(GFINS: gyroscope free inertial navigation system)의 가속도계 데이터를 보정하는 방법에 관한 연구이다. 일반적인 관성항법 장치(INS: inertial navigation system)는 주로 가속도계와 같은 병진운동을 감지하는 관성 센서와 자이로스코프와 같은 회전 운동을 감지하는 관성 센서를 이용하여 위치와 yaw각을 측정하는 장치이다. 하지만 INS는 자이로스코프를 사용하기 때문에 소형화 및 저전력 설계가 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 자이로스코프를 사용하지 않는 GFINS에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. GFINS에 사용되는 가속도계는 적분과 외란에 의한 오차가 시간이 지남에 따라 누적되는 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 가속도계의 누적 오차 문제를 해결하기 위해, 레이저 내비게이션과 가속도계의 선속도 비율과 엔코더와 가속도계의 선속도 비율을 통해 GFINS의 데이터를 보정하는 FIS를 제안한다. 제안된 Fuzzy-GFINS를 평가하기 위해, 직접 제작한 메카넘 휠 AGV(autonomous ground vehicle)에 제안된 GFINS를 적용하였다. 실험 결과, 제안된 방법이 GFINS의 출력 데이터를 효과적으로 보정하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
