  • In this study, rheological properties of cement pastes containing ground Finex-slag (4000, 6000, 7000 c$m^2$/g) were investigated bymini-flow test and coaxial cylinder viscometer. And also blast furnace slag(4000, 6000, 7000 c$m^2$/g) were used for comparison. According to the experimental results, Finex-slag and blast furnace slag showed very similar trend in the rheological properties of the cement pastes. The fluidity of cement pastes blended Finex-slag and blast furnace slag powder were improved by high replacement ratio. In the relationship of plastic viscosity and yield stress appeared the tendency of the proportion greatly. And in the relationship of plastic viscosity, yield stress and mini-flow appeared the tendency of the inverse proportion.

  • This paper evaluated the quality properties of Finex Water Granulated Slag fine aggregate as part of a study to recycle the Finex Water Granulated Slag generated in korea, and examined the availability as fine aggregate for concrete by comparing properties (properties of fresh concrete, mechanical properties of hardened concrete) of concrete using Finex Water Granulated Slag fine aggregate with properties of concrete using river sand as fine aggregate. From the results of this study, it was found that quality properties of concrete using finex water granulated slag as fine aggregate and concrete using river sand as fine aggregate are equivalent level.

  • Recently, Development of substitution aggregate is urgently needed because aggregate shortage is continuing due to the exhaustion of natural aggregate and strict restrictions of environment in construction industry. Therefore, This paper was examined the fundamental properties for application of FINEX slag by finex process as fine aggregate for concrete. Through this study, we propose the practical method of FINEX slag as fine aggregate for concrete.

  • In this study, physical properties of cement blended with Finex-slag powder(OPC-FS) were investigated by the measurement of flowability, compressive strength, hydration heat, and $Ca(OH)_2$ content. In addition, those properties of the cement blended with blast furnace slag(OPC-BFS) were also measured for comparison. It was found that OPC-FS and OPC-BFS showed similar trend in the rheological properties. In the blended cement pastes with the $4,000\;cm^2/g$ Blaine value the flowability of OPCFS was better than that of OPC-BFS. The initial 3 day mortar compressive strength and the hydration heat of paste of OPC-FS was a bit higher, compared with OPC-BFS. Accordingly $Ca(OH)_2$ produced in the cement hydration was decreased very rapidly.
