Revenue Maximizing Scheduling for a Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Station with Solar PV and ESS

  • The modern transportation and mobility sector is expected to encounter high penetration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) because EVs contribute to reducing the harmful emissions from fossil fuel-powered vehicles. With the prospective growth of EVs, sufficient and convenient facilities for fast charging are crucial toward satisfying the EVs' quick charging demand during their trip. Therefore, the Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (FECS) will be a similar role to gas stations. In this paper, we study a charging scheduling problem for the FECS with solar photovoltaic (PV) and an Energy Storage System (ESS). We formulate an optimization problem that minimizes the operational costs of FECS. There are two cost and one revenue terms that are buying cost from main grid power, ESS degradation cost, and revenue from the charging fee of the EVs. Simulation results show that the proposed scheduling algorithm reduces the daily operational cost by effectively using solar PV and ESS.

A 235U mass measurement method for UO2 rod assembly based on the n/γ joint measurement system

  • Fast-Neutron Multiplicity Counter based on Liquid Scintillator Detector can directly measure the fast neutron multiplicity emitted by UO2 rod. HPGe gamma spectrometer; which has superior energy resolution; is routinely used for the gamma energy spectrum measurement. Combing Fast-Neutron Multiplicity Counter and HPGe γ-spectrometer, the n/γ joint measurement system is developed. The fast neutron multiplicity and gamma energy spectrum of UO2 rod assemblies under different conditions are measured by the n/γ joint measurement system. The induced fission rate and the 235U abundance, thereby the 235U mass; can be obtained for UO2 rod assemblies. The 235U mass deviation of the measured value from the reference value is less than 5%. The results show that the n/γ joint measurement system is effective and applicable in the measurement of the 235U mass in samples.

  • 하이브리드 자동차 및 전기 자동차(하이브리드 및 전기자동차)용 배터리 팩은 고용량 대면적 셀을 적용하기 때문에 배터리 셀의 평균 온도는 중요한 관리 기준이 된다. 최근에는, 배터리 충전시간을 줄이기 위한 고속 충전 기술이 요구되고 있으며, 이에 따른 셀과 전장부품의 발열로 인해 배터리 팩 성능 및 수명의 저하가 발생한다. 따라서, 고속 충전에 따른 배터리 팩의 성능저하를 방지하기 위해 효과적인 배터리 냉각시스템이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 파우치형 고속 충전용 배터리 셀 적용 냉각시스템 및 모듈 설계를 도출하고 배터리의 효율을 극대화할 수 있는 냉각성능을 분석하였다. 베이퍼챔버 냉각시스템을 적용한 모듈의 온도 편차 분석 결과 모듈 내 온도 편차는 5.82 ℃로 기존 알루미늄 냉각판 대비 낮은 온도를 보여 우수한 냉각시스템 효과를 보였다.

  • 자기 공명 영상에서 최근에 개발된 fast spin echo 영상법은 종래에 사용되었던 spin echo 영상법과 거의 같은 화질과 contrast를 제공하면서도 8-16배 이상 촬영 시간이 단축되어 임상적으로 많이 사용되는 촬영 방법 중의 하나로 자리 잡았다. 그러나 종래의 spin echo영상법과는 달리, 동시에 spin밀도 영상과T 강조 영상을 제공하는 dual echo 영상법은 fast spin echo의 경우, 촬영 시간이 2배로 늘어나기 때문에 그 중요한 장점을 잃어 버리게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 dual echo를 동시에 얻기 위한 현재의 fast spin echo 영상법의 이와 같은 단점을 해결하는 새로운 영상법을 제안한다. 새로운 영상법은 기존의 fast spin echo와 거의 같은 화질을 제공하면서도 dual echo 영상을 얻는데 추가 촬영 시간을 요구하지 않는다. 이를 입증하기 위하여 인체 실험을 수행하였고 그 결과를 기존의 방법으로 얻은 영상과 비교함으로써 그 유용성을 보인다.

패스트 패션의 상품 공급 프로세스 설계에 관한 연구 (The Product Supply Process Design for Fast Fashion Industry with BPMN)

  • This paper suggests the product supply process model based on the store and production capacity, assortment planning and quick response for fast fashion retailers with BPMN. In the fast fashion industry, the standardized business process model is required to respond quickly market trends and customer requirements based on the quantitative and qualitative criteria. Thus we define the product supply processes which incorporate forecasting and assortment plan, cost and profitability of the production, store capacity based on the visual merchandising, and production capacity of the fast fashion retailers. Also we design the key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of these product supply processes. The product supply process model for the fast fashion has great significance in embracing the fast fashion product development process because it presents the holistic view of the product supply process of the fast fashion and provides a performance evaluation mechanism. A case study shows that adopting the processes, a Korean fast fashion company achieves improvement in various performance indicators.

한국 패스트푸드점 서비스품질 측정에 있어서 SERVQUAL과 SERVPERF의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of SERVQUAL and SERVPERF in Measuring the Fast Food Restaurants' Service Quality in Korea)

  • There have been academic debates upon which measure is more desirable in measuring service quality between SERVQUAL and SERVPERF In addition, Korean fast food industry is rapidly growing due to increasing income and globalization. Our study tried to contribute to both academic and practical issues. We compared SERVQUAL and SERVPERF measures to determine which one is superior to measure service quality in Korean fast food franchise. We collected data from two branch restaurants of one American global fast food franchise system. Regression analyses resulted in that SERVPERF outperformed SERVQUAL. Furthermore, we compared the goodness of fit of the two structural equation models of SERVQUAL anO SERVPERF, respectively. The SERVPERF model showed a much better model fit than the SERVQUAL model did. Thus, we suggest that SERVPERF be used to measure service quality in Korean fast food industry.

  • The standard approach consists of using correlation of orthogonal functions in digital filtering, such as well-known FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) and FWT(Fast Walsh Transform). But it needs much calculations, multiplications and additions. The calculation amount is m $log_2m$ in the general case. Therefore, this requires high speed processors to calculate in real time, which can calculate floating point. This study developed improved fast Walsh transform based on dyadic-ordered fast Walsh transform, then regenerated signal flow graph of improved fast Walsh transform, and used it for digital filtering, and then measured fundamental frequency and harmonics for current and voltage signals of power system.

소듐냉각고속로 원형로 소듐-물 반응 압력완화계통 성능 해석 연구 (Investigation on Performance Analysis of Sodium-Water Reaction Pressure Relief System of Prototype Generation-IV Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor)

  • 본 연구는 소듐냉각고속로 원형로 소듐-물 반응 압력완화계통의 성능 해석을 목적으로 한다. 증기발생기의 전열관 파단에 의한 대규모 물 누출 사고 발생 시, 증기발생기 전열관 내측의 물을 급수덤프탱크로 배출하고 전열관 외측의 소듐 및 반응생성물을 소듐덤프탱크로 배출 할 때 유체의 거동을 해석하여 계통 설계요건의 적절성을 평가하였다. 증기발생기 쉘 측의 액체와 중간열전달계통 내 소듐이 모두 배출되는데 소요되는 시간은 약 50초이고, 증기발생기 전열관 측의 급수가 모두 배출되는데 소요되는 시간은 약 2.5초로 계산되었다. 증기발생기와 중간열전달계통 내 유체가 덤프탱크로 배출되는 동안 전열관 측의 압력은 쉘 측의 압력보다 높게 유지되어 쉘 측의 소듐이 전열관 측으로 역류하는 현상은 없는 것으로 해석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 SFR 원형로 소듐-물반응압력완화계통의 성능 평가에 대한 기초자료로 활용할 예정이다.

  • To develop a pressurized chemical looping combustor, effect of pressure on minimum fluidization velocity and transition velocity to fast fluidization was investigated in a two-interconnected pressurized fluidized bed system using oxygen carrier particle. The minimum fluidization velocity was measured by bed pressure drop measurement with variation of gas velocity. The measured minimum fluidization velocity decreased as the pressure increased. The transition velocity to fast fluidization was measured by emptying time method and decreased as the pressure increased. Gas velocity in the fuel reactor should be greater than the minimum fluidization velocity and gas velocity in the air reactor should be greater than the transition velocity to fast fluidization to ensure proper operation of two interconnected fluidized bed system.

고속응답 CO2 분석기의 제작 및 이를 이용한 SI엔진에서의 실시간 배기가스 분석에 관한 연구 (Development of Fast-Response CO2 Analyzer and Analysis of Engine-out Emission during Cold Start of SI Engine)

  • A fast-response $CO_2$ analyzer has been developed for measuring the $CO_2$ concentration during transient condition of a SI engine. The analyzer consists of the non-dispersive infrared absorption method, electrical chopping system and water cooling system. The analyzer has good repeatability, linearity and permissible drift characteristic. Besides, it showed 18ms of a response to measure the $CO_2$ concentration. The fast-response $CO_2$ analyzer was applied to a single cylinder SI engine and the $CO_2$ emission was examined during engine start. Simultaneously, the standard exhaust gas analyzer, which has slow response time, was used for confirming the accuracy of the exhaust gas analysis using the fast-response $CO_2$ analyzer. The developed analyzer showed much faster responsive characteristic than that of a standard analyzer and made cycle by cycle exhaust gas analysis possible. The transient engine operating characteristics will be estimated from the $CO_2$ concentration of engine-out emissions and engine operating variables.
