Evolution Strategy를 이용한 선형 동기 전동기의 최적 형상 설계 (Optimum pole shape design of linear synchronous motor by Evolution Strategy)

  • Optimum pole shape is designed to increase the levitation and propulsion force of magnetic levitation systems. Evolution Strategy is introduced as optimization method. Evolution Strategy is random based non-deterministic method, developed by combining Genetic Algorithm with Simulated Annealing. Trasnsrapid-06, which was developed in Germany, is referenced model to be analyze. Design variables are nodes which determine fields pole shape of a linear synchronous motor, and the model analyzed by F.E.M.

Byr4p, a Possible Regulator of Mitosis and Cytokinesis in Fission Yeast, Localizes to the Spindle Pole Body by its C-Terminal Domains

  • Cytokinesis and septation should be coordinated to nuclear division in the cell division cycle for precise transmission of the genome into daughter cells. byr4, an essential gene in fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, regulates the timing of cytokinesis and septation in a dosage-dependent manner. We examined the intracellular localization of the Byr4 protein by expressing byr4 as a fusion of green fluorescence protein (GFP). The Byr4 protein localizes as a single dot on the nuclear periphery of interphase cells, duplicates before mitosis, and the duplicated dots segregate with the nuclei in anaphase. The behavior of Byr4p throughout the cell cycle strongly suggests that Byr4p is localized to the spindle pole body (SPB), a microtubule organizing center (MTOC) in yeast. The presence of the Byr4 protein in the SPB is consistent with its function to coordinate mitosis and cytokinesis. We also mapped the domains of Byr4p for its proper localization to SPB by expressing various byr4 deletion mutants as GFP fusions. Analyses of the diverse byr4 deletion mutants suggest that the indirect repeats and the regions homologous to the open reading frame (ORF) YJR053W of S. cerevisiae in its C-terminus are essential for its localization to the SPB.

Digital State Feedback Current Control using the Pole Placement Technique

  • A digital state feedback control method for the current mode control of DC-DC converters is proposed in this paper. This approach can precisely achieve interleaved current sharing among the converter modules. As the controller design and system analysis are performed in the time domain, the proposed method can easily satisfy the required converter specification by using the pole placement technique. The digital state feedback controller in the continuous and discrete time domain is derived for the robust tracking control. For the verification of the proposed control scheme, a parallel module bi-directional converter in a prototype 42V/14V hybrid automotive power system, which is a design example in the continuous time domain, and a parallel module buck converter, which is a design example in the discrete time domain, are implemented using a TMS320F2812 digital signal processor (DSP).

  • This study aims to describe the acoustic characteristics of Korean nasal sounds making use of the notion of pole and zero. In case of [m], the 1st and 4th formant almost remains as the original shape respectively, on the contrary, the 2nd and 3rd formant were observed as a variable cluster together. Alveolar [n] shows that the 3rd and 4th formant make a variable cluster with their antiformant(zero), however, the 1st and 2nd formant keep the static shape of their on. Velar [$\eta$] has 4 formants below 2900 Hz and the 3rd and 4th formant constitute a variable cluster together as does the case [n]. With respect to the energy distribution in case of [n] and [$\eta$], the energy value diminishes from Fl up to F3 continuously but augments in F4. The [m] shows that in the region of Fl-F2 does the energy fall down and rise from F3 to above.

  • Most control system design problems involve finding state feedback gain for good response by the pole or characteristic polynomial assignment. In this paper, the characteristic polynomial assignment using PID controller for discrete 2-dimensional system descrived by the Fornasini-Marchesini's 2nd model (F-MM II) is considered. This method it not only available to F-MM II but also to Rosser's model.

DEGENERATE VOLTERRA EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACES

  • This paper is concerned with degenerate Volterra equations Mu(t) + ∫(sub)0(sup)t k(t-s) Lu(s)ds = f(t) in Banach spaces both in the hyperbolic case, and the parabolic one. The key assumption is played by the representation of the underlying space X as a direct sum X = N(T) + R(T), where T is the bounded linear operator T = ML(sup)-1. Hyperbolicity means that the part T of T in R(T) is an abstract potential operator, i.e., -T(sup)-1 generates a C(sub)0-semigroup, and parabolicity means that -T(sup)-1 generates an analytic semigroup. A maximal regularity result is obtained for parabolic equations. We will also investigate the cases where the kernel k($.$) is degenerated or singular at t=0 using the results of Pruss[8] on analytic resolvents. Finally, we consider the case where $\lambda$ is a pole for ($\lambda$L + M)(sup)-1.

ROLL CENTER ANALYSIS OF A HALF-CAR MODEL USING POLE FOR SMALL DISPLACEMENT

  • In this paper, roll behavior of three planar half car models are compared. The first model is a simple model whose contact point between a wheel and the ground is assumed to be fixed with a revolute joint. The second model is a modified model of the fIrst model, whose wheel tread width can vary. In this model, the instant center of a wheel with respect to the ground, which is crucial to find the roll center, is assumed to be at the contact point of a wheel and the ground. The last model uses the pole of a wheel with respect to the ground for small displacement as the instant center of a wheel with respect to the ground. Loci of the center of gravity point, the fixed and the moving centrodes which are traces of roll center position in the ground and the body frame respectively, wheel contact points, and instant centers of a wheel with respect to the ground are calculated.

  • In this paper, a simple digital control scheme for the single/parallel module buck converters is proposed using a digital state feedback control method. The discrete state feedback controller structure for the robust tracking control is derived by using the error state. The proposed control system can precisely achieve the interleaved current sharing and the output regulation, and can achieve the systematical controller design for a given converter specification using the pole placement technique. For a design example, the single module buck converter is simulated using the MATLAB Simulink software and two 100W parallel module buck converters with a TMS320F2812 DSP is implemented.

  • In this research, the etching characteristics of via contact and deep contact hole have been studied using multi-pole inductively coupled plasma(MICP) etching system. We investigated Plasma density of MICP source using the Langmuir probe and etching characteristics with RF frequency, wall temperature, chamber gap, and gas chemistry containing Carbon and Fluorine. As the etching time increases, formation of the polymer increases. To improve the polymer formation, we controlled the temperature of the reacting chamber, and we found that temperature of the chamber was very effective to decrease the polymer thickness. The deep contact etch profile and high selectivity(oxide to photoresist) have been achieved with the optimum mixed gas ratio containing C and F and the temperature control of the etching chamber.

  • A general scheme for a discrete adaptive observer having exponetial weighting properties is presented for a single-input single-output linear system. In this scheme, all the past measurement data are weighted esponetially both with the weighting factor and the stable matrix F. This observer is then implemented in the design of an indirect adaptive pole placement contoller. To increase nemerical stability in getting the controller parameter, a recusive algorithm is introduced. It is shown that the overall control scheme is globally stable with the persistent excition
