분석 결과 밝혀진 주요 사실들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개방결혼인식, 성역할고정관념, 혼외관계 수용성, 성적외도 실행의도 등에서 남성이 여성보다 유의하게 높은 수준을 보여 성별차이를 재확인하였다. 둘째, 남성의 경우, 성역할고정관념, 개방결혼인식, 혼외관계수용성은 성적외도실행의도에 각각 직접적인 효과를 미쳤고, 혼외관계수용성은 결혼개방성인식이 성적외도 실행의도에 미치는 영향에 유의미한 부분매개효과가 있는 것이 입증되었다. 성역할고정관념은 혼외관계 수용성에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지는 않았다. 셋째, 여성의 경우 성역할고정관념, 개방결혼에 대한 인식, 혼외관계수용성은 성적외도 실행의도에 각각 직접적인 효과를 미쳤고, 혼외관계 수용성은 결혼개방성인식이 성적 외도실행에 미치는 영향에 유의미한 부분매개효과가 있는 것이 입증되었다. 성역할고정관념이 혼외관계 수용성에 유의한 직접효과가 발견되었다. 따라서 성역할 고정관념이 성적외도 실행의도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 성별에 의한 유의한 조절효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 성적 외도실행의도 및 관련요인에 대한 성별차이를 실증적으로 입증하면서, 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between wive's sex-role attitude and their marital satisfaction for understanding a part of marital relations. For this purpose, a questionnaire was constructed and administrated to 626 married women. the sex role attitude scale was a modified version of the sex-role attitude scale constructed by Osmond and Martin, and the marital satisfaction scale was developed basing upon the scales used by Terman and Hayes & Stinnett. The result of this study are summarized as follows; The majority of wives have relatively modem attitude toward their sex role in the extra familial roles. Wives have relatively modem attitude toward their sex role when the couples are younger, more educated, on a higher income level and working or a job (especially or a professional job). Wife's education level, husband's education level and family income make significant difference in their marital satisfaction specifically, a wife would be relatively more satisfied when she has more education and the family income level is higher. It is founded that wives sex role attitude has significant relationship with their marital satisfaction. A wife tends to be more satisfied when she has a traditional sex role attitude . A professional wife who has a traditional attitude shows most satisfaction and one who has a modern attitude and not having a job tends to be most dissatisfied with her marriage. It is also founded that a wife who has traditional attitude and received college education are above shows most satisfaction while the wife who has modern attitude and received high school education or below shows most dissatisfaction with their marriage lives.

본 연구의 목적은 이성의 신체적 매력에 대한 취약성이 개인의 개방결혼 의도에 미치는 효과와, 본인의 혼외관계 수용성의 매개효과 그리고 결혼상태의 조절효과를 밝히는 것이다. 본 연구는 655명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 얻은 자료를 분석한 연구이다. 자료분석 결과 밝혀진 주요 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본인의 혼외관계M=2.284)와 개방결혼(M=2.175)에 대한 응답자들의 인식은 전반적으로 부정적이다. 여성들이 남성보다 더 비판적인 입장을 보여주었다. 둘째, 남녀 모두 이성의 신체적 매력에 대한 취약성(M=3.569)을 어느 정도 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 남성이 여성보다 좀 더 취약한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째 이성의 신체적 매력에 취약할수록, 자신의 혼외관계에 대해서 좀 더 수용적이었다. 본인의 혼외관계에 대해 수용적일 수록, 개방결혼의도가 더 높았다. 넷째, 여성 집단에서는, 본인의 혼외관계 수용성이 매개요인(mediator)으로 작용하여, 이성의 신체적 매력에 대한 취약성이 개방결혼의도에 유의미한 영향을 미칠 수 있게 한다는 사실이 밝혀졌다. 그러나 남성 집단에서는, 이러한 매개효과가 없어, 성별특성에 따른 조절효과(moderating effect)가 입증되었다. 여성들의 경우, 본인의 혼외관계에 대한 인식이 이들의 개방결혼에 대해 어떠한 의도를 가지는지에 직·간접적으로 영향을 줄 수 있는 결정적인 요인(critical factor)이라는 결론을 내릴 수 있다.

This study analysed marital comflicts, related factors, and adjustments to those conflicts described by urban Korean women. The purpose was to discover directions for resolution that would enhance the helpfulness of volunteers or prfessionals working with women in counselling settings. The investigator interviewed 20 married women, all mothers and housewives living in Seoul, attending marriage encounter programs and the Lifeline telephone counselling service. An interview schedule using six open-ended questiona guided the data colleciton which took place between May 31 and December 29, 1988. Content analysis of the data revealed, in order of reported frequency, the following areas of conflict: relationships between husband wife, relationships with children, relationships between the wife and her mother-in-Law, unsatisfied sexual needs, the husband's extra marital relationships, lack of self actualization and finacial matters. Analysis of the data suggested the following factors were related to the conflicts: reasons for marriage, traditional views about marriage and divorce including to accept a marriage arranged by the parents, the husband's traditonal attitude toward the sex role of the wife, the husband's patriarchical authoritarianism, and his attitude toward the wife;s empolyment outside the home. The women thought these conflicts severely affected their relationships within the famaily, particularly with their children. Literature suggests links with such poor parent-child-family relationships and adolescent or young people's social problems. Volunteers or professionals working with married women in counselling situation need to be conscious of the possibility of these conflict during assessment, and direct their guidance toward such conflict resolution. The researcher makes several suggestions which include the need for the husband to give emotional supports to his wife, to recognize the worth of housework, to share the work of the home, to fine ways to enhance the wife's self-actualization and to ease dreary housework routines by prviding modern appliances.

본 연구의 목적은 본인 및 배우자의 혼외관계에 대한 개인의 인식을 파악하고, 관련 요인들을 밝히는 것이다. 기혼자(402명)를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 얻은 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, '배우자의 혼외관계에 대한 인식은 '본인의 혼외관계에 대한 인식에 비해 훨씬 더 부정적인 것으로 밝혀져, 내로남불 현상이 발견되었다. 둘째, 혼외관계에 대해서 남성들은 여성들보다 훨씬 더 수용적이었다. 셋째, 본인의 혼외관계인식에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 성별(-.161), 연령(.144), 취업활동유무(.107), 신체적 매력(.087), 자율성(.120), 정서적 소외감(.105), 개방성(.124), 주변 혼외관계 만연성(.303), 성생활 만족도(-.131)등이다. 배우자의 혼외관계 대한 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 정서적 성숙성(-.127), 주변의 혼외관계 만연성(.113), 성생활 만족도(1.131)등으로 밝혀졌다. 주요 발견점을 토대로, 혼외관계 문제 대처에 활용해 볼 수 있는 다양한 형태의 실천 개입들을 모색하면서 논의하였다.
