Republic of korea has begun operating high speed train service according as KTX service operation starts in 2004. Also, EMU whose maximum speed is over 150 kph will be starting to service with electrification and improvement of existing railroad. Moreover, metropolitan electric railways have begun an express service to increase scheduled speed. Therefore, running resistance of rolling stock becomes more important factor effects on the performance. Running resistance of rolling stock is the factor which is necessary for the performance or operation plan of rolling stock, and it's related to rolling friction, slip friction, drag force, gradient, acceleration, curvature, tunnel condition and so on. It is possible to be calculated by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). However it is predicted by experimental equation from running resistance test because of the complex calculation and manifold variables. In this paper, studies about running resistance of rolling stock is introduced, and each term of experimental equation is studied through theoretical approximation. Also, running resistance of rolling stock is estimated by the result of running resistance test, and effects being related to friction, drag force, gradient is examined.

The introduction of KTX (Korea Train eXpress) provided passengers with a much faster mode of transport, and KTX has become a model railway system. Express railway stations are emphasized as public transit transfer centers, but their service evaluations were not performed appropriately so far. It is possible to know the level of service by developing valuation criteria for their evaluations. The evaluation of transfer centers mainly consists of two parts; connective service with other travel m odes, and transfer service inside transfer stations. Connection is defined as the inter-connection of multi-transportation vehicles, and transfer means that a passenger changes his travel mode to another. Such connective service and transfer service are evaluated by the level of service in terms of transfer facilities, the appropriateness of station layout and the quality of information throughout the facilities. We developed the service evaluation indicators of connective facilities and referred to the indicators of transfer facilities. We examined the 7 stations in Korea that are currently in operation and standardized the methodology of the evaluation process by applying the indicators suggested in this study.

The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of environmental awareness and environmental worldviews on environmental UCCs which made by 27 pre-service biology teachers, and relationship between environmental awareness and environmental worldviews of them. Environmental worldviews were divided into planetary management worldview, stewardship worldview and environmental wisdom worldview. As for theme fo environmental UCCs, most of pre-service teachers chose themes such as environmental destruction, environmental protection, environmental conservation and coexistence with human and environment. Themes of environmental UCCs were somewhat different between females and males. Female pre-service teachers preferred UCC themes related to human's daily life as a consumer but males preferred to environmental protection. Many pre-service teachers referred that major cause of environmental problem was development of environment. Most of them had envionmental wisdom worldview, and tried to use fear appeal to express ways of solving of environmental problems and envieonmnetal worldviews. After making environmental UCCs, more pre-service teachers had envionmental wisdom worldview. This result implies that it is necessary to develop pre-service educational programs realted to environmental worldview formation.

This paper introduced an approach of improvement of performance of Electric device for EMU type Train like as TTX. The electric equipments are characterized by insulation, Noise, cooling system etc. and Their weight arc decided by these factors. There are two kinds of power source in EMU train. First, DC voltage source, 1500 volt, 750 volt is used for subway system. Second, AC power source 25000 volt is applied to high speed train and existing main lines. Composite material has the protection of inrush current and high frequency noise. We can use this material to minimize weight of train. Additionally we can get energy saving when operator service TTX.

This paper describes Messenger software that is designed for fast and efficient information retrieval, the advanced front-end STN Express software that saves time and effort, and databases in STN.

The Incheon International Airport Express(I'Rex) is the railroad that connects Incheon International Airport, Gimpo Airport and Seoul Station. I'Rex is now under construction, and it will be connected to Gimpo Airport by 2007, to Seoul Station by 2010. However, there has been no discussion on how th connect different routes of railway Systems. Therefore it seems likely that rail passenger demand will be lower than that of limousine bus. Therefor, this paper proposes 4 effective connecting methods for I'Rex - (1) Shuttle transport, (2) Short-distance connecting transport (Inside I'Rex, Seoul Subway Line 9, 'Han-River line') (3) Mid-distance connecting transport (Jung-ang, Tae-baek, Young-dong line) (4) Long-distance connecting transport (Korean Train Express (Korean high speed railroad)) These methods can increase the connectivity of I'Rex with existing railroads and the competition power of I'Rex against a highway.

The railway vehicle has an auxiliary power unit for supplying power to the associated electronic control devices and passenger service unit. Typically, input voltage from the catenary for rolling stock is highly fluctuating according to the substation capacity, vehicle propulsion and regeneration. Especially, the frost and freezing on contact wire in winter can cause a blackout inside vehicle, and also brings about electronic components damaging and the system down. To prevent this problem, a large filter and capacitor is used. But this is not a perfect solution, because it is increasing weight of the unit. In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed to suppress the disturbance without adding devices. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has performance to suppress the disturbance at the sudden input voltage variations.

In metropolitan railway systems, the average commuting time keeps increasing as the scheduled speed increases, and this leads to a decline of rail service usage and competitiveness. Therefore, effective express operation for urban trains is required to improve the scheduled speed. In this study, based on the obtainable time shortening efficiency and economic viability, several express operations are suggested for urban railways and these suggestions are compared by considering high performance trains with acceleration/deceleration and maximum speed improvement. As a result, the optimum express system, which can minimize the cost for sidetrack construction, is suggested.

Today there are increasing number of internet users. Internet is wide use of banking, shopping, school and studding. Also, internet is used in everyday living and its use is getting larger. Korea has the one of the most use of internet in the world. Most of houses have computer with internet, and there are alot of PC rooms in the streets. anyone can enjoy the internet anytime anywhere. Now, in internet there are group formed by community purpose. The 'dot com' companies was not making much of profit from their goods. However, they came out with an idea "avata" Soon, the avata became a hit and its known for its success. Avata is used for E-mail, name card, post stamp, and chatting. Also, Avata is very popular among chatting service, icon chatting, and 3D graphic chatting. Avata represent the user himself in internet and computer created imaginary space, and it connects between imaginary space and reality, also it exist between real name and nick name. Past years, the internet users were satisfied with their nick name, however resent year users wants to express them more. For the result the "Avata" is created to fulfill the need to express user themselves. There are three different ways to see how Korean react to fashion industry. first, Korea's land structure makes the density of population high, the transmission of information is very fast. Next, collectively is high among Koreans. Finally wide use to internet made the transmission of the fashion information much faster. The User wants to keep up with the fashion at the sametime they want to express themselves, and "avata" is the one that fulfill their needs. New technology and the desire to express themselves made the new term "avata industry". which was never existed before. In addition, the internet markets have potential power. Although, it is in start stage of avata industry. However, the experts say that its possibility of its development is not predictable. In conclusion, watch the development of a situation to analyze the avata industry and develop new avata fashion market.

Purpose. To examine the orientation of the eco-friendly Health care service on korean Hospital nurses Methods. Between October 2012 and November 2012, two hundred eighty five nurses (mean age, $25{\pm}17$ years; age range, 22~42yrears) were enrolled in this study. They performed a questionnaire which related to environmental problem, hospital infectious wastes manage and eco-friendly care service orientation. Results. Within the results, There were statistically significant correlation between "Hospital infectious wastes management" and "environmental problem awareness"(r=0.45, p<.001), "eco-friendly care service orientation"and "environmental problem awareness" (r=0.48, p<.001), and "eco-friendly Health care service orientaton" and "Hospital infectious wastes management"(r=0.50, p<.001). Conclusions. In current study, these results express that it is necessary to promote environmental problem awareness and hospital infectious wastes management practice for the "orientation of the eco-friendly Health care service on korean hospital nuurses.
