TTX 전체차량 충돌안전도 설계방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Full-rake Crashworthy Design of Tilting Train Express)

  • Crashworthy design of a train is a systematic approach to ensure the safety of passengers and crews in railway transportation for the prescribed accident scenarios. This approach needs new structural arrangements and designs to absorb higher levels of impact energy in a controlled manner and interior designs to minimize passenger injuries. In this paper, crashworthy design approach is applied to the tilting train express (TIX) design which is newly being developed. Based on a head-on collision and a level crossing collision scenarios, the crash behaviors of a TTX design candidate arc evaluated numerically using the finite element method. Finally, design alternatives which show better crashworthy performances are proposed and verified through the full-rake collision simulations.

고속철도 서비스품질에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Service Quality of Korea Train Express)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the dimensions of service quality of Korea Train Express(KTX) and to compare the service quality of KTX with that of general train. The researcher consisted of initial 32 items representing eight-dimension and analyzed the final quality dimensions of KTX. The collected data of passenger of 226 was analyzed by statistical procedures such as the iterative sequence of computing Cronbach's a, corrected item-to total correlations, and factor analyses. Through the repeated statistical process to puritY the items, a final set of 26 items representing six district dimensions; tangibles, timely responsiveness, empathy, comfort, information access and safety. The Results of independent samples t-test showed that the mean scores of all the service quality dimensions of KTX except for comfort were higher than those of general train. This finding will provide the more appropriate instrument to measure the KTX service quality as well as to improve the passengers' perception of the service quality.

  • In this paper, we calculate the magnetic flux density around Gyungbu express railway feeding system. We propose the magnetic field analysis method which is widely known. We consider several situations which can generate in reality. In each case, we calculate magnetic flux density.

  • This study focuses on the performance enhancement of the levitation and guidance control system in urban and medium-to high-speed magnetic levitation trains. A levitation control system, which is currently being tested in Yeongjongdo, is a single controller that is neither designed nor produced on the basis of redundancy. Hence, vehicular stability and reliability should be improved for the situation in which levitation failure occurs because of a breakdown in a controller during vehicle operation. In addition, the control system should be developed to control electromagnetic levitation considering changes in normal force according to changes in the driving force of the propulsion system.

  • In modern society, the range of time and space in life is continually expanding due to increase of income and diversification of life. In order to respond to these changes and to satisfy needs and to secure the mobility of citizens, the construction of transport infrastructure and public transport services should be provided continually. In particular, to ensure mobility during late-night hours, providing metropolitan public transport services is urgently needed. Due to expansion of life zone, tension of time and space of metropolitan transportation is essential to construct transport infrastructure in preparation for entry into 24-hour community. This study was based on analysis of travel resource and survey data conducted by passengers of express trains, conventional trains, and metropolitan bus. This study is to investigate use characteristics of passengers and characteristics and problems of Gyeongin-line. Moreover, this study's purpose is to suggest plans in order to improve express train operation and extend hours of the midnight express. It is also important to vitalize public transportation.

  • Although the effectiveness of an express train's service is measured in "Total System Time or Cost" units, many cases had used indirect method what based on the distintion by number of passengers in a station or experiential knowledgements. These methods are not guarantee itself as an optimal strategy. Focusing "Total System Time or Cost" directly, this paper investigates the express train service's stop scheduling based on each OD-volume and trip time which mainly affect system time and cost. To do this, we built an IP model which has a binary set presenting express train's stop scheduling as decision variable and suggest a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to find heuristic optimal solution.

  • The era of express train in Korea has come since April in 2004. The KTX(Korea Train Express) which has introduced the technology of TGV of France is regraded as good as the ICE of Germany or Shinkansen of Japanese in its hardware aspects. However there are still many things to be improved in its software aspects such as the quality of services, since the new express railway system is in the early beginning stage. To improve the quality of services, we should first measure and analyze the current level of the service quality. Using SERVQUAL model, the service level of KTX is measured and analyzed in this paper. Issues on how to improve the service quality are discussed based on the measurement and analysis.

GIS 기반 철도사고 관리시스템 구축방안 연구 (A Study on the Development of GIS-based Railway Accident Management System)

  • 2004년 4월 1일 한국의 고속철도인 KTX가 개통되었고, 100년이 넘는 한국철도의 역사 가운데, 철도의 안전관리는 상대적으로 소홀히 취급되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 철도안전을 도모하고, 철도사고를 효율적이며 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 시스템의 구축방안을 제시하였다. 먼저, 국내외의 철도사고 관리시스템과 국내 철도사고의 현황을 파악하였으며, 이에 따라 위치개념을 도입하는 GIS(geographic information system)기반 철도사고 관리시스템의 프로토타입을 개발하였다. 이 관리시스템은 공간 데이터베이스와 속성데이터베이스로 구성되어 있으며, 비상대응지도를 제공하는 기능을 가지고 있다.
